Also printed for Paleo Art Show. Thinking I love adding patterns to butts, which is a shame because I’m not going to be a tattooer.

Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. But I got results.

I’ve never finished art for a show so soon, so I might try to do a second in the same theme as the coelacanth print (Cluster).

I also tweaked the original so it can be reprinted the same size and color technique.

Various stages here show how I tend to build subject from illustration, and craft the actual layout afterwards at the digital stage — allowing me to stay flexible, or reuse pieces for other concepts.

And, I’m showing my steps so no one accuses me of using AI. Fuckitall.

This was a ton of work, with flame spirit, two-headed stag, and several hand illustrations. The REASON I did this is to keep the design flexible. A skateboard is difficult to space. And now that this is in pieces, I can still use those pieces to re-balance it all as a regular screen-print poster, or sticker designs (maybe, a t-shirt … we’ll wait and see).

Multiple coelacanths clustered in this poster for the Paleo Art Show. Started with a pile of bananas. Moved on through sketch to print. Final layer of ink is silver, for no purposeful effect. Guess I just wanted to challenge myself.

Catching Tumblr up: mermaid printed, three colors, on metallic white paper. Sold at the Unicorn Art Show (10th and last of the annual event).

Been neglecting Tumblr as I work up my BlueSky account so I can drop instagram/meta like the fascist abiding sack of AI bloat that it’s become. Anyway…

From pose, to sketch, to inking, to digital vector stage. And! I had an old flame-woman illustration in storage I hadn’t used yet. Some dramatic lighting and design touches and it’ll be … probably only a sticker design. But maybe it’ll be a screen poster. We’ll see about that later.
