my biggest hope for the end of deltarune is just for the credits to have a scene showing the kids all going to the sadie-hawkmans dance together with toriel and alphys wearing hawk heads to go after the kids dancing too close

okay in light of the developments to the kris/susie/noelle dynamic in chapter 5…. would it be controversial for me to say that the situation noelle describes in her spamton sweepstakes holidaygirl1225 blog post where susie taunts kris for smelling like an apple and then gets in their face and grabs them by the hair. might’ve awakened feelings for someone else besides noelle

i’ll have to do a separate post later with game screenshots to better illustrate my point but AHH the kris/susie/noelle dynamic after everything in ch5 is actually making me insane. like ch2 noelle “kris knows me better than anyone, but it’s hard to say we’re exactly friends” and “kris is the only one who knows how weird i really am.” the “it felt like a concert just for me” holidaygirl1225 blog post. susie sleeping in kris’s bed in the dark world. susie’s ch2 “damn, kris would know what to do!” on the ferris wheel and ch4 “they’re really good at…flirting?” when talking to noelle. susie and noelle being in fuckin adorable young love with each other. both of them wanting kris there on their first date because it’s less awkward but also bc kris makes them both feel safe and i’m not sure how aware kris is of that. kris mumbling when the player chooses “you and noelle will work out” when talking to susie. susie admitting she thought kris and noelle might’ve been a thing before she got to know them. kris’s dialogue options for “you should carry me next” and “you’re cute when you’re embarrassed.” susie wanting to include noelle in the dark world and castle town even tho thus far it’s been her and kris’s “special thing.” crying screaming gnawing at my cage bars. you kids are making me UNWELL.

chapter five was actually fuckin insane for ships like. yes suselle was lifted up and gently kissed by the angel themself but also one-sided (kinda? idk?) krusie?? kralsei moments?? KERDLY moments?? unrequited one-sided catelle??? flowery and asgore’s vibe definitely hinting at some kind of rudy/asgore past/subtext?? and nicepants, which was taken out back behind the festival stage and shot, unfortunately :/

i’m back to analyzing petscop and i think i generally have a pretty strong thread of the narrative’s “events” but one thing i still get hung up on is that damn windmill. if anyone has any ideas or interpretations about what they think happened to it, be it in more grounded literal terms or metaphorical ones related to the themes, i’d love to hear them!

age discourse for ferriswheelshipping is so incredibly dumb. i saw a tweet about it like “ew i can’t believe people are okay with shipping a 16 year old and a 22 year old” and ???? even if N is canonically 22, that information is never once mentioned in any of the games? plus N and the bw protags (imo) have like, zero visible age difference between them. every time i’ve played the game i’ve just assumed that he was about the same age as the protag, cheren, and bianca and that was part of why he connects with the player character? i feel like they all just look vaguely teenager-ish and that most ppl would agree with me
