Meet Gabriel Milton (Bill Skarsgard), a reclusive and perpetually moody young man who decides his life needs a dramatic overhaul. His solution? Summon a demon. After all, who needs therapy when you have forbidden rituals?

2. Times of Moral Crisis (or Song of Solomon):

Gabriel’s spell summons Marchosias (or “Mark” if you’re on nickname terms), straight from the Lesser Key of Solomon.

Unfortunately for Gabriel, he gets more than he bargained for as Mark’s idea of fun involves a lot more chaos than expected.

Now residing in Gabriel’s body, the demon decides to turn the town upside down with his charm and mischief, leaving everyone scratching their heads at the sudden personality switch.

3. Pleasure and Pain (or Genesis):

Enter Beatriz Guzman (Emeraude Toubia), Gabriel’s childhood friend and old flame (a nod to Dante’s Beatrice, but with less fire and brimstone). Beatriz returns to town and is both intrigued and unsettled by this new “Gabe”.

As she tries to reconnect, she’s unwittingly drawn into a bizarre love triangle. Mark’s irresistible charm clashes with her unresolved feelings for the real Gabriel, creating a tangled web of affection and confusion.

But Mark is not immune to her charms either. Beatriz, with her Mexican Catholic upbringing, is a walking contradiction: deeply religious yet occasionally tempestuous and selfish. Her chaotic good moral compass makes her a challenging puzzle.

5. The Lost People (or Kings):

Meanwhile, the Kings of Hell are less than thrilled with Mark’s antics.

Mark’s supposed to be corrupting and collecting souls for his superiors, not playing human and falling in love. His dereliction of duty stirs up trouble in the underworld, and his hellish bosses are none too pleased.

6. Love That Moves the Sun (or Revelation):

Beatriz finally uncovers Mark’s true identity as Marchosias, leading to a dramatic clash between her faith and her heart. As she grapples with the truth, Mark finds himself unexpectedly enchanted not just by Beatriz, but by the human condition itself. He’s captivated by its complexities, contradictions, and nuances—something he never anticipated while aiming to collect souls. His infatuation with Beatriz evolves into a deeper appreciation of humanity, further complicating his hellish mission.
