Wesker considers it. Relius had a point. There were people with a sort of willpower that got them through impossible situations. They had a resilience that made them survive, despite the odds. Was it natural selection at work? Good fortune? This... soul he spoke of?

"Ah, that would explain the people who've tried to attack me in the comfort of my quarters. Do forgive me for that."

Considering the absolute ass kicking he gave them? He certainly lived up to the name of Immortal Breaker.

Relius wasn't being completely honest. Wesker can't blame him, as he'd be a fool to show all of his cards this early. "There is no need to apologize. It's their fault for displaying such gross incompetence." Just a few pawns off the chessboard. It was of little consequence.

"A fair argument... I did find it a bit curious to learn that you were wondering about my research."

At least the parts of it that were moreso able to fit into his own plans. He wasn't about to give any openings.

"I merely wanted to pick your brain. Here I am, trying to shepherd humanity toward evolution. That is what many of the great scientists are trying to do these days. To dig into that untapped potential."

Wesker had sent many mercenaries to do this dirty work for him, to rob this man... ahem, blind, of his research.

None of them had returned.

That just meant there was something to be gained from visiting this Clover fellow in person.

Reading books was her only habit but she's reading a cooking book of baking cakes as she was on a bookstore at Golden. As usual, Lysithea was minding her own business and means no harm.

If he ever, she'd went straightforward on that. She is still holding the book she's reading.

"This is just a cookbook for cakes. A girl's gotta learn how to bake a cake or something." Closed the current one she's reading, now her tome dropped.

Wesker had been shifting through books as a means of collecting as much information as he could. In terms of science and engineering, things seemed built on the same foundations that he was familiar with.

Lysithea immediately piqued his interest as she mentioned magic. He'd seen stranger things here, but magic was a concept that would fascinate any scientist. He can't help but want to delve into it.

"May I?" It didn't take a genius to see she was a little flustered, so he didn't hound her on magic yet. That would be a good way to chase her off.

Albert Wesker is in Weiner World.

He suspects that this child has brought him as some immature joke, but there was no signs of malicious intent. The little guy is genuinely happy to be here.

Wesker is glad no one he knows is here to see him in this world's equivalent of a Weenie Hut Junior.

"One with ketchup and mustard."

"That's preposterous. Shrimp can't do either of those things, so stop wasting everyone's time with stupid ques----"

This child just spoke in ✨sparkles✨. It almost distracted Wesker from the answer itself. He takes a second to shift through the vocal glitter. It doesn't give him much more information than he started with.

Wesker contemplates searching for someone who actually knows what is going on. However, food does sound tantalizing. He hasn't eaten since he was back in his own world. He follows Sora, his steps brisk to avoid being left behind.

"Hey, come on guy, lighten up! This place isn't too bad."

Sora pats the man's shoulder as he approaches from behind. Tell-tale grimace, downturned eyebrows - yep, this guy just got here.

When Wesker looks at purity personified, all he sees is a snot-nosed little brat who can't keep his hands to himself. Wesker notes that the boy is dressed like he's from the circus, clown shoes and all. Would it really be worth listening to the ramblings of a child?

However, Wesker is in an unfamiliar place that doesn't match the description of any location on Earth. He can't dismiss Sora's claims until he learns more about his predicament.

Wesker can't show his true colors, either. Not yet.

"Another world, you say?" Interesting.
