the Queen has returned

having struggled with mental health most of my life, one of the things i needed the most is for people around me to know and understand the disorders i've had. i wish i had a teacher who would tell me it's okay if i leave school early because i'm exhausted of sitting in class. i wish i had a parent who would let me ask my brother to take my dog out instead because i can't bring myself to moving. i wish people around me were educated about mental health, especially those who had authority over me, and at the end of the day, that's what this day is about. tell people you know about mental health. about how real is it. about how it damages a person if not treated correctly. about how to talk to people about it. let them know and understand what to do, how to do it and why to do it.

i'm a guide at the scouts and every time a new kid sees me they're confused about my gender because i'm wearing my khakis (which really make my chest look flat) and have short hair but i don't exactly look masculine. that one kid once asked me if i'm a boy or a girl and i told him i'm neither but i can be whatever he wants, and he looked at me with bright eyes and went like "cool!" and i think this is the best reaction i've ever gotten to being nonbinary
