Leader jolted awake in her bed, heart pounding. Another nightmare. Useless. She was being useless.

She looked at the clock. Five thirty. She could stay in bed for another thirty minutes to collect and gather herself, but she knew if she closed her eyes for a single second, the images tormenting her would come back full force. So she got out of bed and went to the bathroom.

“I’m trying to stop you from bleeding out, as per usual.”

“Don’t seem to be doing that good of a job.”
