Before finally accepting that you have to commit yourself to yourself instead of waiting on people to commit to you and deliver you a sense of confirmation, you actually do so many silly things, you waste a lot of time. And sometimes that pre-acceptance phase goes on for years, sometimes for your whole life. I’m on the brink rn, I know intellectually that a change has to happen, but actively that’s another story.
