Snoopenstein; Or The Modern Prometheus

i think there are several perfect days i have at the ready but i’ll give you the one i most want in this moment

to set the stage id want it to be a day that’s sunny with a bit of clouds; a nice breeze that cools things down but doesn’t set a chill on your skin.

im not one to sleep in so id wake up at my regular time go on a morning run, come home shower, then go to my kitchen and make myself my plethora of drinks but specifically id make an espresso tonic with a squeeze of orange (my fav).

breakfast wise ive been really into those very stereotypical tiktok breakfast charcuterie plates for lack of a better word so id make one of those. id blister some tomatoes and make a nice avocado mash to go on top of my homemade seed bread. pull out some of my pickled veggies (specifically my pickled red onions. so good) and of course make my daily morning salad lmaoo. I know this is crazy to many but i love a leafy green and listen guys a breakfast salad does the trick for me. it’s a lot of food but im a tall and big guy i do need a lot of food to function lmfao

okay so now that ive had breakfast i need to get dressed. i can’t be leaving my home in just my underwear lmfao since the weather is nice and there’s a slight breeze id probably go for a classic me outfit. my favorite black slacks that are a bit structured so they keep their shape and pleats very well, a white button up, and a big ass sweater that’s partially tucked into the slacks. creates a nice shape and all that. oh and my adidas sambas since im planning on a walking a bunch.

from here id go to a museum ideally with a new exhibition that i haven’t seen yet. doesn’t matter the type of museum as long as theres a new temporary exhibition lol. id wanna go on a day where there’d be a lecture going on so I can sit in and listen. take notes cause i always carry like three journals in my bag lmfao.

for lunch id probably pack myself a little snack since i dont usually get too hungry midday. usual go to snacks are trail mix and veggies with a dip of some sort, and a little container of olives…

from here id explore the area check out any little bookstore or shop that catches my interest, knowing myself id buy one too many books for the size of the bag im carrying. ive always lived in either big cities or college towns my entire life so if theres a university nearby i will walk the campus and just think lmfao. pontificate if you will.

ideally id be close to my bestie and once she finishes up with all her work we meet up and go to our favorite lebanese fusion restaurant. Its so good and holds many memories anytime we’ve had a big win or a big loss we go here haha. and you know having a perfect day constitutes a big win, plus anyday i spend with her is a big win in my eyes.

after we’d walk to this one little bar that has the best moscow mules (her fav). they also are always very generous when i ask for a ton of extra line in my mezcal soda so of course we have to go and gab with the bartender before stopping by a bodega and grabbing snacks

the night would finish off with us going back to one of our apartments and watching absolutely fabulous while we talk about our research and projects. all the things we usually gab about. these nights usually end with us passing out on the couch and being awoken by the sunlight startling us the next morning

but yeah i think that gives good broad strokes of what id want a perfect day to be. im sure i missed a few bits but you get the picture !
