Case 1: Normal Control In  this  case,  the  FPELs  are  under  normal  control  and  their  power  are  constant  value.    At  the  beginning,  the  Fixed   load1   and   the   FPELs   are   connected   to   the   microgrid. At 0.3 second and 0.6 second, the fixed load2 and   fixed   load3   are   connected   to   the   microgrid,   respectively.  The  output  power  of  the  DG,  ESSs  and  FPELs,  the  microgrid  voltage,  current  and  frequency  profiles  are  shown  in  Fig.  4.  It  can  be  seen  that  the  DG  unit  and  ESSs  can  share  the  power  demand  due  to  the  large  reserve  capacity  of  the  ESSs.  In  this  case,  their  capacities  are  all  the  same,  which  is  1000W.  It  is  shown  here for illustration and comparison with cases involving the FPELs participation.

Case 2: Adaptive Control without Considering User Intention In  this  case,  the  same  simulation  in  the  case  1  is  conducted  again,  where  the  FPELs  was  under  adaptive  control without considering user intention. It is noted that the  capacity  of  the  ESS  is  reduce  to  750W.  As  shown  in  Fig.  5,  it  can  be  seen  that  the  FPELs  can  automatically  reduce  their  power  consumption  and  participate  in  the  balance  of  the  supply  and  demand  according  to  the adjustable  capacity  and  microgrid  operation  when  the  frequency  below  the  preset  value.  Therefore,  microgrid  can  keep  supply  and  demand  balance  with  lower  power  reservation.  However,  this  scheme  makes  the  FPELs  to  participate  in  the  balance  according  to  their  adjustable  capacity.   This   scheme   without   considering   the   user   intention  will  introduce  influence  to  the  load,  especially  for the crucial load.
