Agdar nodded. “Yes.” A smile crossed his face. He’d never raced an earthling before. This might be fun.

“All right, I’m gonna go to the ground and then you can start when I start. Just a warning, I can run faster than the speed of sound on a slow day.” Barry wasn’t just gonna let the guy enter in without knowing how fast he could go.

Agdar smiled. “I’m up for a challenge.”

“Okay then,let’s get going.” Barry lowered himself to the ground.

Agdar lowered with him, low enough to see Barry but not low enough to actually touch thee ground.

Barry counted down from three before yelling go and starting to run.

Steve nodded, considering. “But you’re not a danger with your powers.” He said slowly, almost reluctantly. “You are able to control anything that could hurt someone.”

“I can’t really hurt anyone anyways, I can run fast enough to break the speed barrier. Not really useful for hurting people.” Barry rolled his eyes.

Steve gave Barry a wry smile. “You’d be amazed at how quickly innocuous abilities become violent in the hands of the wrong people.”

“I won’t hurt anyone, unless it’s necessary.” Even his mother’s murderer would just be handed over to the cops, after all he needed to get his dad freed.

Steve barked out a laugh. “Who decides what’s necessary? I believe you, though. Alright, I won’t tell anyone. As long as you show me what you’ve got going on in that lab.”

“I do, and the only time o do it is when it can’t be avoided or they’re going to hurt someone I love.” Barry rolled his eyes. “I’ll show you.”

Steve gave the other a grim smile. “You shouldn’t get to decide when you’re entitled to hurt other people, Barry.” Still, he wasn’t going to turn down being shown around.

"Really, because if I don't then people die and then it's my fault. I will not let anyone die on my watch. I don't kill the bad guys just tie them up or knock them out befo-" Barry shut his mouth, he wouldn't reveal the reactor turned prison to the other, that wasn't his secret to give out.

Agdar sighed. “Apparently the idea of a compromise is foreign to you.” He muttered. “Where do you fly around to? I can help because I am not as limited as you are at the moment.”

“I don’t fly, I have super speed. I run everywhere.” Barry rolled his eyes. “I know what a compromise is, I do it a lot. I’m just complaining because I can and because I miss Hal. You’ll get used to it.”

“This Hal, is a a mate in courting. I mean, is he a friend?” He asked Barry.

Barry immediately turned a shade of pink at the first thing the other said. “Yeah he is a friend, all my teammates are my friends.” He hoped using it on an entire team would make the other see how different the first thing they said was from the second thing.

Agdar nodded. “Of course, forgive me. I am still new to Earth phrases.” He looked out around the city before he saw a building that caught his eye. “What building is that over there?”

“Star labs, nothing interesting. Just a company.” Barry shrugged, it was one of the taller buildings in the city. “It’s fine, a lot of people think I’m into him that way. We’re just friends though.”

Agdar nodded. “I apologize. I do wish to help you, it is a way for me to see the city.”

“You can help me, though you might not be able to keep up. I can go faster than the speed of sound.” Barry chuckled.

Agdar chuckled. “It will be good for me to do more things like that, so there are no worries.”

"Yeah, so wanna race?" Barry was very exited when he got to race against aliens.
