Hello Everyone,If you follow this blog, chances are you already know who and what we are, but weād like to reintroduce ourselves.Hello. We are the MarkiArtists for Charity. Weāre a fanmade charity group that sells commissioned Letās Player fanart that is made by our volunteer artists, the MarkiArtists. All profit from that artwork goes directly to the charity that we have chosen to raise money for that month. Back in January of this year, we were started by a small team of people, the main creators being warfpower ( V ) and birbsnerd (Alex), who had a dream to help make the world a better place. Since then, we have helped raise money for charities such as Childās Play and the AbleGamers, and have raised over $1000 collectively for charity. We are incredibly proud of the artists who have volunteered their time for these events, and of this community for helping make the MarkiArtists possible.
Ā But numbers and facts aside, there is something else that is a very deep part of this group, and thatās passion. From the moment we started in January, our passion and a dream to make a difference is what drives us. And when we say us we donāt mean just the admins of this group, we mean every single artist who has been on this team, every single streamer who has streamed for us, and every single person who has come to our admins and said āI want to help.ā Our motto is: Love and Art: Weāll Leave our Mark. We believe, that if enough people come together with the same passion, the same love for something, we could leave a positive mark on this world. And when we look at this community we see a burning passion. We see people who want to change this world for the better.
Ā Unfortunately, there are many who believe that since this community is so large, their voice will be lost among the numbers. People always doubt themselves and think āIām just one person, what can I do?ā But what if that one person became a group of ten people? One hundred? Or, even a thousand? What if we joined together and reached out to each other? We could start a revolution, not just āweā the MarkiArtists, but everyone here, we: the community of passionate people.
Ā We are all here because of one person, and thatās Mark. When we thank Mark for what he has done we normally thank him for the videos heās done, the charity work, or other similar reasons. But, thereās also another thing we need to thank him for and thatās this community. Mark has given us a community that - if it works together- could accomplish incredible things. He has given us the opportunity to change the world, and it is our responsibility to Mark to try to make that happen.
Ā So, from every single one of us at the MarkiArtists for Charity, thank you for supporting us. The MarkiArtists have raised over $1000 dollars for charity and weāre only 15 to 20 people max for each event. If only 15 people can do that, image what would happen if 9 MILLION of us came together for one common cause. If we could do that, we could change the world.
