Nightmare of The Snow

Welcome to the finale of Nightmare of the Snow, an RPG Maker Horror Game developed by Tsurugihayate over on the @project-ice and @project-grayrpg pages.

Every ending to the game along with their pre-requisite tasks in order for the ending to be possible. Hopefully the video itself will explain how to achieve each ending, but this is a simple structure on the order of which ending comes first.

How to obtain Psycho Points - Bad Ending 1 - Bad Ending 2 - Normal Ending 1 - Normal Ending 2 - Normal Ending 3 - Good Ending - True Ending.

To make achieving each of these endings less time consuming, you can revert back to a save point just before a divergence happens, for example you can save just before Kayako is pursued by Yukikio, before going up against Psycho Yuuki as Yuuki, just before facing the Headmaster as Taiga, in this way rather you save as much time as possible with endings like Normal Ending 1, 2, 3 and the Good Ending, as you won’t need to play from the beginning to get to these points.

However, to make all endings possible for yourself, you’ll need to play from the beginning of the game at least 3 times, you have 48 save slots so saving is not an issue. Here is how I would structure each playthrough in terms of which endings to get from each one.

Normal Endings 1, 2, 3 and Good Ending - Bad Endings 1 and 2 (Bad Ending 1 can be done on any route) - True Ending.

Once you have become accustom to the mechanics of the game, certain aspects like the labyrinth which contains the room with the Dragon Tablet, running away from Yukiko as Kayako after picking up her phone and the final battle with Dark Yukiko isn’t difficult. Know where the enemies are originally placed in the labyrinth before and after collecting the Dragon Tablet, and take the shortest route to the room with the 3 red spirits.

In preparing the save files needed for this video to be possible, it took over a day to do so. Now the game itself, I’ve become attached to the story of this adventure, the horrors displayed are superb when you look at the game for the first, ranging from full screen jumpscares, to the sudden appearance of characters like Yukiko out of nowhere, and the dread sound effects played in certain places.

Nightmare of the Snow in comparison to other games is a really long game, the flow of the story was quite solid, there weren’t parts of the game where story was not included. Most of all though this is a really challenging rpg horror, especially if you are looking to witness all the endings to the game.

Going to be playing Restless Dreams (first 2 chapters) in the near future, believe this is a sequel to the story and above all else, take it easy guys and gals and see you in the next video!! ^o^

Albino Lullaby

A first-person horror adventure game set in a dark and fun subterranean world. Clinging to the precipices of underground cliffs the highly interactive environment twists and contorts around you in real time as you puzzle your way through its equally twisted narrative.

I’m going to give a quick shout out to Ape Law’s upcoming game Albino Lullaby. I actually haven’t looked into it at all yet (oops), but from what I understand Ape Law is an indie game developing team, made up of former Triple A game developers, including, but not limited to, former employees of Irrational Games. Employees who worked audio and level design for the original BioShock and BioShock: Infinite: Justin Pappas and Ryan Patrick Buckley.

Chapter Two CG - A Dark Reunion.

I’ve just finished colouring two CGs. The other one is a rather gory death scene (with a badly drawn Lovecraftian creature), so I won’t post it.

It’s hard going through all your posts and looking for the golden ticket ones that tell me what your game is about if your blog is messy. It may take me hours. If you have little to no information about your game, I have no idea what to write about! Most likely, whatever’s on your blog I’ll say per verbatim (and that’s no fun).

You want a nice, organized blog so that people like me, who are interested in your game, can go to your blog, find the ABOUT/FAQ page and find out what your game’s about. What perks it has (original music? Pixel art? Voice acting?), what it’ll look like (painted? Pixel?), what it’ll play like (some gameplay examples), etc. That way, people can tell right away what kind of flavors you’re playing with. What kind of game you’re making. They can see your style (by maps, CGs, etc.), what kind of world your game takes place in, your writing, and see if they look forward to it or not.If you have CGs, screenshots, etc., people who write reviews or shoutouts can also use them to show off your game! So that’s more bonuses for you. 

Also, in regards to little to no information, if the only thing you have on your blog is a single introductory/about post that says things like: “Genre: Horror Original Pixel Art Voice Acting About: You’re stuck in a swamp”, I can’t say much. I can repeat what you said but that’s about it.

But what if people are curious, like your project, and want to know more? I can’t help them. I don’t know what your game is about so I can’t answer them. I can only say, “You’re stuck in a swamp”; repeat you. 

All games here can simply state out their genre, some perks, and an about. (And I encourage you to do so! I’m just saying, SAY MORE.) You want to have more info out there! That’s why I think, if you’re new, you should wait till you output more. That way, people can see what your game will be like. Its art style, its writing style, its kind of gameplay, etc. etc. They get to see the real flavors of your dish, not just some words printed on a menu. They get to begin to taste what you have!
