A slighty cheesy but super epic hypothetical drinking toast
Here's to keeping focus, staying grounded, staying upbeat. To not taking ourselves to seriously, and being able to laugh at our own helplessly human flaws. To remaining humble and yet refusing to settle. To rejecting the entitlement that comes with our fortunate status. To working harder and stronger - but not enslaving ourselves to pedantic academia. To embracing creativity and the odd and the unlikely and the it's-pretty-fucking-weird-but-i-should-give-it-a-shot. To slowly and purposefully shedding our pretensions and prejudgments. To taking on the responsibility of bringing even the slightest ray of beauty into an often dark and ugly world. To better understanding that we are only limited by the walls we build for ourselves, and true curiosity is almost limitless.
Here's to realizing that life is not objective but relative, that everything is relative. And so it's okay if your life doesn't always seem to match up to those of the people around you. To taking relief in the fact that yes, it's fine to feel like shit every now and then and bitch about every minuscule molecular thing going on, that you don't have to be guilty for being negative. But eventually you will learn to walk out of that shadow over your head and into the sun because you'll see that moping gets you nowhere and you're too busy for that.
So here's to learning, to mistakes, to unknown experiences and uncharted territories we are compelled to explore. To this madness that is at once exhausting and exhilarating, this brilliant madness we call life. here's to me, here's to you; here's to us and all that we were, are, and will be.
