So I hear the term "censorship" thrown around a lot in relation to social media. But to me, there is a HUGE difference between:

The government using actual state power to retaliate against people, organizations, and companies that say shit they don't like, and-

A company setting rules about what can be posted on their own platform, which all users freely agree to.

Now listen. "Corporate censorship" is an issue worth exploring.

But when someone excuses or supports Example #1 and only seems to have a problem with Example #2, it makes me think they don't really care about Freedom of Expression - and maybe they don't even know what the term actually means.
