Love The Unloved, Please.

My main reason for loving him because he was initially love obsessed, but the fucking writers decided, actually, men wanted love is too cringe, and scrapped that, but my version of him, my headmate of him, is love obsessed, a complete and utter philophile, just like me. I love the first season, and there are some good bits in season 2, but I will stand by my statement that season one was the only good season. I don't know what happened, the quality just tanked immediately.

But back to Homelander. I dunno, he just hooked me. I didn't get into the boys for, like, two years after its release because I saw no promotional stuff of him, none at all, and then one day I saw a gifset of him and just fell in love. Then, I found out he was from The Boys and was like :/ He is... Not a complicated character, BUT HE COULD HAVE BEEN. I have docs filled with how I would have directed the show, and really, how I would have handle Homelander, and maybe one day I'll post it, but right now, I'm fine with writing little vignettes of him.

I want him to be cunning and controlled in his anger, but I do also love that he's like that. My version of him is what if he got a redemption arc. He'd still act the time, still lie and kill, just less so. He's still be awful, but restrained in his awful, if that makes sense.

I've said it a thousand times, but I'll keep saying it; fanfic writers write Homelander 1000 times better. Read any Homelander x reader fic and you'll see.
