The third edition of Fashion Cybershot! A section where I take pictures of cool alternative outfits and compile them in one post. On this occasion, I had the pleasure of going to the Harajuku Fashion Walk, an event made for Harajuku fashion wearers, to get together with each other and enjoy the community.

These kinds of events were very popular in Buenos Aires in the 2000s-2010s, with alternative fashion styles and subcultures, but as the people in those events grew, they started to disappear. These events were created on Facebook, and whenever I tried to find events like these to join now, in 2023, the pages would be inactive for longer than 5 years, so I was really happy to find this new gathering.

The gathering itself was also greatly organized. First, we walked near the Obelisco until we arrived at a park, where a contest was made of the outfits people were wearing. After that, we hung around a bit, and one of the participants, @damascosama on Instagram, did a singing performance. Later, we did a runway of all the outfits at the event and did a flash mob of a PrettyCure song. We finished up with a raffle of some products provided by sponsors.

I've been getting into trying the goth aesthetic a bit more. i'm particularly interested in Romantic Goth and Corp goth.

I went to the Harajuku Fashion Market again here in Capital Federal, so the second edition of fashion Cybershot is on the way!!

A new segment I guess. It's just a rant about what I want to wear based on some things I've seen lately and such.

On this occasion, I wanted to talk about my latest fashion inspo, Yakuza the game series. I been playing Yakuza for a few years now, and every time I play it I want to start dressing like my version of a yakuza.

For example, I tend to do this by using something one of my Hawaiian shirts, a padded leather coat, and some white pants with man's shoes. And for accesories, I use my trusted cross necklace. All of the male characters seem to have outlandish and even "trashy" but wealthy looks. I think it's a balance between bad taste and formality. (at least in the games)

It makes me feel masculine while being fun.

Here are some pictures of the yakuza characters, and some yakuza in movies (Which I think is the inspiration for the fashion in the series) just to compare. Maybe I'll do a deep analysis later on...
