When I initially started using Tumblr personally, I thought it would be a great way to share information with students. It could also be an interactive way for students to respond to each other by reblogging and liking each other’s posts. I could create a hashtag for the class and students would know the posts from their classmates. Then I realized that anybody can reblog on Tumblr, so a stranger can get involved in class topics. Also, you can find all types of content on this platform, and even though my students are adults, they would have to choose their content settings individually. Maybe Tumblr can come up with a classroom version of the site for educational purposes. 

This a short video reviewing our community vocabulary for the basic literacy class. We have been practicing reading words that relates to places in a neighborhood.
