Hard Day's Night || Veronica and Anton
It had been a strange day, and a creepy one to add on. Veronica seemed to be the victim of teasing once again. But she didnât suspect teasing this time. She was being tripped when no one was around. She  had her hair pulled when she was walking in the ravenclaw tower although no one was around to own up to it. She just guessed it was some sort of prank, but she heard giggles a few times and honestly it was starting to freak her out,Â
Perhaps it was ghost? But no one else had been reporting these sightings, Or had been sharing the same experience. Where was she to go now? Perhaps talking to the DADA Professor would be a good idea. She made sure that her brother would walk her to his office and wait outside. She didnât want  to be alone anymore and vunerable.Â
Veronica knocked on the door of his office. She stepped inside and made Zach wait outside. âHello Professor.â She felt bad for disturbing him but she had enough of this nonsense. âIâve been experiencing some troubles lately. Itâs probably nothing but Iâd like your opinion.â She took in a deep breath. âIâm used to being teased and picked on by the other students but..not like this. I donât even know if itâs a student. But I keep getting tripped in the hallway, I even got bitten on my arm. I justâŚDo you think itâs possible a ghost is haunting me?â Saying it out loud made her realize how stupid she must have sounded. âYou know whatâŚIâm sounding crazy Iâll just leave you be, forget I said anything.â
Anton stood as the Ravenclaw walked into the room, immediately putting his wand away as he processed how tense she appeared to be - having a wand pointing in your direction would not allow anyone to feel at ease. His eyes narrowed slightly at her words, and it took everything he had to stop himself from shaking his head and sighing. Teasing, or being 'picked on', and Veronica had worded it, were meaningless juvenile activities that added to nothing. What caused the sudden spark of anger within him was the fact that despite how many students tried to debate the situation, they were forms of bullying. Bullies were something Anton had a very low tolerance for and had all his life - the fact that the only two detentions he had ever received while at Hogwarts was because of the rather extreme actions he had taken while protecting a younger student proved that...
Still, as Veronica continued to describe her situation, his mind set off. It could be a student, one with an invisibility cloak or one that had mastered concealment charms, but he almost dismissed the thought immediately - the actions she had described did not seem to match. He raised an eyebrow rather sceptically as she mentioned being haunted before speaking. "It is not 'nothing'," he replied in a gravelly voice, "but something that should be addressed, which is why I am glad you approached me. As for your theory of a ghost... It seems unlikely, given that the Castle's ghosts are harmless. Could you perhaps tell me of a particular incident in more detail?"
