fuck, seriously… as kids, we learned that nazis WERE bad people, they were in the past. now kids see this. nazis are no longer in the shadows, and they ARE here, ARE bad people. what are kids learning now?

The way society rewards men for being even slightly decent is laughable. We’re taught that if a guy is “nice” we owe him something for some reason, as if being nice isn’t just a standard trait we should all have. If you break up with a guy who treated you well, there’s something way wrong with you bc- god forbid- you value other characteristics as well and/or you just weren’t into him for whatever reason! regardless of how kind/available/in love with you he was. My husband is currently reading books about fatherhood and the meat of most of them is basically saying “Just the fact that you’re reading this book means you’re already A GREAT FATHER because you care enough to read a book and you’re not gonna take off.” Soo being a good dad means just being physically present and not a piece of shit human being? I’ve yet to get any kudos for planning on being in my child’s life 🤔
