Maria’s bubbling OPTIMISM was something that Georg had yet to completely gotten used to. It was refreshing however, and one of the many reasons why Maria was so endearing for the Captain, and as she was practically DANCING around with giddiness due to FABRIC, Georg could not help but smile; happy because she was happy.
“No, I hadn’t, but I seem to have a FEELING that I’ll be seeing quite a lot of it around soon enough.” He tells her, walking forward to stand closer to her. “Me?” A wider smile as he shakes his head, holding his hand out to pull her closer to him. “No, that’s quite alright. I’m very happy with my - what the children call ‘ d u l l ’ suits. But come, darling - Max INSISTS that he’s got a surprise for us.”
she’s bright, personality always shining through the darkest of times. it was one of her better qualities, one that the other sisters wouldn’t dare complain about. oh if they only knew she had turned curtains into play clothes. why they’d certainly would have a laugh about that followed by a scolding.
“oh yes! lisel has already expressed interest in learning to sew. perhaps i could have all the girls help. even the boys. it’s always useful to know one’s way about a sewing machine.” the captain nears her causing blue hues to look up at him. her smile only widening as a hand is extended out to her. she moves the pile of fabric under her arm and gently takes his hand. “you’re suits are hardly dull. though a tie made from this could liven them up a tad.” brows pull together at the mention of a surprise awaiting them, mind curious as to what it could be.
