Charlotte walked the halls of the castle with a book in her hands. This was something sheâd perfected at a young ageâthe ability to walk and read at the same time. Her eyes scanned the page, each word like a memory of a distant time and yet she had never lived it herself. It always felt that way, carried her off and landed her in a world different from her own. She loved being able to feel the wind as if it were rustling the end of her dressâeven if she was standing indoors. Her fantasy came to an end when she very nearly flattened herself against a wallâor a person, who knew? She peeked over the edge of her book. âSorryâguess Iâm not used to this place yet.â
Gwyn was on her way to take Petra for a walk, and wasnât really paying attention to her surroundings, just in case her dog tried to pull on ahead. However, the moment she collided with someone, her hands were raising to make sure they wouldnât fall back and hurt themselves. Dark hues were apologetic, as she waved the otherâs apology off. âIâm pretty sure it was my fault. I was too busy making sure Petra didnât pull ahead, and wasnât paying attention to where I was walking. Are you alright? I didnât damage your book, did I?â She questioned, while moving back a step or so, as brown hues took in the other girl and checked for any damage.
