Vince read the message, over and over again, speechless. Helpless deer. Esmee Beausoleil Koizumi. Local. This was either the stupidest girl or the most obvious set-up he'd ever seen, and he didn't know which one was worse.

If it was real, that meant he wasn't being careful enough. It wasn't clear how much she had seen, or even what. Sure, this town was a lot more relaxed, but he still wanted as few eyes on him as possible. He didn't need some orphan running her mouth either. And if it was a set-up? Even worse.

Surprisingly fine as a business partner. He's respectful to people he views on the same level as him, and he won't go after their things usually. This extends to people close to them as well.
