âAre those the new limited-edition washed denim jeans?â you ask the stranger. You circle around his body as he waits outside the dressing room for the shopping attendant to help him.
âPardon?â Jermaine says, he turns around and faces you.
âSorry! Itâs just, those jeans are nice,â you say shyly.
Jermaine looks down at his jeans heâs wearing.
âYou think?â he asks.
âMhm,â you hum.
âWhatâs your name?â Jermaine asks you.

âDid you know that Cleopatra and Julius Caesar were having an affair?â you ask Jermaine.

âIâm being serious,â Jermaine says with a straight face.

âUGHHH,â you yell out of frustration.
Jermaine jumps in the bed, he rubs his eyes.
âWoman, what are you yelling for?â Jermaine asks.
âMy hair isnât curling the way I want it to,â you groan, you attempt to curl your silk press once more but it comes out funny.
Jermaine rolls his eyes and tries to go back to sleep.
âI wonder if poodles have this problem when they get up to curl their hair?â you say out loud.
âWhat?â Jermaine asks.
âPoodles have curly hair, they HAVE to wake up every single day, bright and early to curl their hair⊠right?â you repeat the question.
Jermaine thinks for a moment.
âI think they have their owners wake up and curl it for them,â Jermaine answers.

You, Tito, and Marlon are all chilling by the pool before Jermaine walks over to you.
âCan I borrow your platforms?â Jermaine asks you.
âSure! Go ahead and borrow my pants while youâre at it,â you say.
Tito and Marlon laugh at your remark while Jermaine leaves. 10 minutes later, Jermaine walks back out in your pants and boots.
âLooking good, baby,â you say to Jermaine, he winks at you.
âOh, they were being for real,â Tito says.
âDo you think it needs a fur coat?â Jermaine asks you, motioning to his outfit.

âI canât, love,â Jermaine says. âYou know that I have to eat healthier,â

âWould it?â he asks, he squints his eyes at you.
âYes, baby!â you answer.

âDamn it!â you whisper to yourself, quickly switching channels. âHey guys!!â you turn around to the boys.
âHey,â Jermaine says.
âWhatâs wrong?â you ask. âYou sound down,â
âHeâs upset that all the interviewers keep asking about you,â Michael answers for him.
âOooh, they ask about me?â you ask with a smirk.
âWere you not watching on the television?â Marlon questions. âIt was live,â
You open your mouth and close it.
âUhh, yeah, no, I was watching it,â You correct. âSo soâŠsad,â
âItâs not that theyâre asking about my Y/N, itâs the fact that they keep saying sheâs out of my league,â Jermaine explains.
âWelllll,â Randy says.
âRandy!â Jackie scolds him with a pointed finger.
âI think you two are perfect for each other,â Marlon says. âItâs like seeing two rocks talk,â
âJermaine, donât listen to the outside noise, weâre perfect for each other,â you add.
Jermaine sits down next to you and wraps you in a hug.
âMe and my baby are like Romeo and Juliet,â Jermaine says, gazing into your eyes.
âBoth died in the end,â Michael corrects. Jermaine side eyes him.
âMichael is right, weâre like Tony and Maria,â you say.
âIsnât that also just Romeo and Juliet?â Marlon asks Michael.
âLet them have this,â Jackie says to his brothers.
âââ
àŒ ËËË Argument
âYou never take me places, Jermaine!â you shout. Your pointer finger waves in his face.
âI took you to Paris!â Jermaine shouts back.
âWell I wanted to go to France,â you bark.
âFine! Iâll take you to France next time!â Jermaine faces his back to you.
âI swear you just donât listen to me anymore!â you storm out of the room.
âCan you guys believe her?â Jermaine scoffs. He walks over to the couch and sits with his brothers after the argument. âSheâs always complaining! I took her to Paris, so what itâs not France?â
His brother share worried glances.
âJermaine, itâs extremely important to me that you both know Paris is in France,â Jackie begs.

â â â â°ă € ă €Primetime Live interview, ABC News Studios, New York.
The interview had been going beautifully right up until the last subject change. Thatâs when things reached the point of no return.
Michael and Lisa Marie sat beside one another, close enough that their elbows occasionally brushed whenever either of them shifted. The room was set up in a way that felt purposefully intimate for the Primetime interview to give viewers a glimpse behind the âspectacleâ of their marriage. Michael had been relaxed for most of it, occasionally laughing into his hand when he became embarrassed by a question, his answers wandering into long explanations that Diane Sawyer patiently waited through. Lisa had been quieter but comfortable enough, watching him whenever he spoke with an expression that alternated between affection and amusement whenever he did something silly.
They had already discussed the wedding. The public fascination. The accusations that their marriage was a publicity stunt. Their respective families. The scrutiny surrounding their relationship. Michael had even been coaxed into talking about how difficult it was to have something so personal become something the entire world felt entitled to dissect.
Diane Sawyer leaned forward slightly. âI want to ask you about something else, Michael. Before we part ways.â
His expression changed slightly but Lisa noticed. It was the tiniest little thingâhis smile didnât disappear exactly, but it faltered as his heart skipped a beat, putting him in fight or flight mode. Michael hated when interviewers announced their next question as it usually meant the question was going to be invasive or uncomfortable for him. He was often left feeling bare and violated no matter how much he tried to regulate his inner self.
His eyes dropped for a moment and one hand moved against his knee as he braced for the questioning.
âYour previous relationships have been talked about almost as much, if not more than your marriage to Lisa,â She continued. âAnd obviously, one of the most significant was your relationship with your former wifeâ(Name).â
Michaelâs gaze remained lowered as he quietly processed her words, his expression giving little away. Beside him, Lisa subtly straightened in her chair before reaching over to give his forearm a reassuring squeeze.
âYou were together for several years. You were young, her even younger. I understand that you two had a mentor and apprentice kind of relationship in its early stages.â She pauses briefly. âYou eventually built a life together, had a beautiful child. But even after the divorce, people have continued to speculate about the two of you.â
Michael nodded slowly. âAh.. yes.â
âDo you think thatâs fair?â
He took a moment. âI think..â His fingers moved against the golden brace on knee some more. âI think when people see something that was very beautiful.. and then they see it end, they want to understand why. They want a reason. They want somebody to blame.â
Lisa watched the side of his face.
âWas it beautiful?â Diane asked. âYour relationship with (Name), I mean.â
There was no hesitation as he spoke. âYes.â
One word that felt instinctual and so certain in itself that there was no room to argue what he meant. Lisaâs eyes narrowed at his answer though, and Diane smiled faintly before speaking again. âYou donât hesitate on that.â
âNo.â Michael shook his head. âNo, I donât. It was. It really was.â He leaned back slightly, his expression becoming more distant.
âWe were very, very close. She knew me before a lot of awful things happened and took.. very good care of me during. She knew me before.. everything became so toxic. Before all the craziness. And she knew me as Michael. Not..â He made a vague gesture toward the room. âThis. I meanâsheâs a beautiful woman and has a beautiful, kind soul. I will always respect her.â
âYou seem very passionate about this.â
âYou could say that, yes..â
âAnd do you think that makes it harder to let go of somebody? Passion?â
Michaelâs lips parted and he seemed to consider giving the safe answer. He really did. Lisa could practically see him constructing it in his head. There were plenty of things he could say. He could say that people moved on. He could say that he wished her well. He could say that the past was the past. He could say that he was happily married now.
Instead, he said: âYou ever completely let go of people you loved.â
Lisaâs face stilled at his words and Diane caught it immediately, deciding to just go for it:
âDo you still love her?â
There it wasâthe question. The one they both had probably known was coming from the moment theyâd agreed to sit down and have this interview.
Michael gave a small, nervous laugh. âLove changes.â
Diane didnât let him take the cop out answer, continuing to press him. âThatâs not really an answer.â
Michael looked down as Lisa stared at him, rubbing his palms together. âI mean..â He sighed. âThere are different kinds of love.â
âIs that what you feel for her now?â
âSheâs the mother of my son.â
The interviewer raised her eyebrows. âWell, yes.. but I feel like youâre still not truly answering my questions with a straight answer.â
Michael smiled awkwardly as he looked toward the interviewer again, then briefly toward Lisa almost as though he were checking whether there was a way to navigate this without stepping directly onto a land mine. But Lisaâs expression said there wasnât.
âIâll always care about her,â Michael said. âAlways.â
âCare?â
âYes.â
âOnly care?â
His eyes narrowed slightly, not in anger but concentration. âI donât know if you can put a word on it.â
Diane smiled. âThatâs interesting.â
âHow so..?â
âBecause you seem very sure that what you had with her was beautiful, that you still care about her, and now youâre saying you donât know what you feel.â
Michaelâs mouth tightened. âI didnât say I donât know what I feel.â
She leaned back. âThen what do you feel? Really.â
He was quiet and a second passed then another before Michaelâs eyes fell toward his hands. âI think..â He paused again. âI think there are people who become a part of you.â
Lisaâs face hardened as Michael continued, seemingly unaware that every word was making the situation worse. âYou can go on with your life. You can meet other people. You can fall in love again. You can get married. You can have a whole different life. But that doesnât mean that what happened before just disappears.â
The blonde nodded slowly. âSo she is still a part of you.â
Michael looked up. âYes.â But apparently he realized that answer had been too direct because he quickly began trying to soften it, backtracking a bit.
âBut that doesnât mean..â He gestured vaguely between himself and Lisa. âIt doesnât mean anything bad. Lisa and I have our own relationship. This is completely different.â
Michael looked at her and she smiled.
It was a beautiful smile. But it was also the sort of smile that could have killed a man at twenty paces. Diane looked between them, clearly aware that something had shifted.
âMichael, if Iâm understanding you correctly, youâre saying that you can still have feelings for someone from your past without wanting to be with them.â
Michael nodded. âAbsolutely.â
âAnd you donât want to be with her?â
He hesitated feeling his wifeâs stare, his lips pressed together. â..No.â Lisaâs expression relaxed by approximately half a millimeter then Michael continued. âItâs about wanting to be with somebody.â And Lisaâs eyes closed just for a second, visibly attempting to regulate herself. Why couldnât he just stop talking about this woman!
Diane almost smiled. âWhat is it about?â
Michael looked genuinely thoughtful now, which was.. unfortunate for his wife sitting next to him. âItâs about knowing that if something happened to her, I would..â He stopped.
Lisa opened her eyes.
Michael swallowed. âI would feel it.â There was silence and Diane let it sit. Michael was starting to seem increasingly aware of the fact that he was digging himself into a hole but was apparently incapable of stopping.
âIâd always feel it,â He added quietly. âBecause sheâs important to me.â
Lisa looked at him again. Not the amused, affectionate look sheâd given him earlierânot even irritation. It was a stare so flat and murderous that when Michael glanced over, it startled him.
His eyes widened slightly. âWhat?â
Lisaâs smile returned, not a damn thing about it was reassuring. âNothing, Michael. Iâm just listening.â
Michael looked back toward the interviewer.
Diane, who had clearly decided she was going to let him continue destroying himself, asked, âAnd do you think part of you will always be in love with her?â
Michael froze. And this time, he knew exactly what was happening. He could have said no, it would have been easy. A clean, uncomplicated no. He could have laughed and said, âThatâs my past. Iâm married.â
Instead, Michaelâs expression softened.. and that was the answer before he even spoke. âI think,â He took a breath. âI think when you really love somebody, you donât just stop.â
Lisaâs face fell and Michael looked at her with the smallest flicker of realization in his eyes.
Too late.
The interviewer didnât move. âSo you still love her.â
Michaelâs gaze remained on Lisa before returning to the interviewer. âIâll always have love for her.â Lisaâs nostrils flared and Michael hurried on. âBut itâs not the same. It isnât what it was.â
âIs that because youâre married now?â
âOh, yes.â Michael looked at Lisa like he wanted to say something and she raised an eyebrow at him.
Michael finally turned toward the camera, his expression becoming comically resigned. âSheâs going to kill me later, guys.â
Lisa smiled. âI havenât that decided yet, maybe torture first.â
The interviewer laughed and Lisa leaned back against the couch, folding her arms. Then after a second, she added casually, âI think he answered the question, Diane.â
Michael looked at her. âI did.â
âVery thoroughly.â She added and Michael shifted in his seat.
The interviewer looked between them, âLisa, does it bother you to hear Michael speak about her this way?â
Lisaâs expression changed and for the first time since the subject had come up, she didnât look angry.
She looked tired. âWell,â she said carefully, âEverybody has a past. I have one. He has one. I donât expect him to pretend that his life started when he married me.â
Michaelâs eyes softened at her words and that somehow irritated her even more. âYou know,â She continued, âA lot of people say we went about our relationship the wrong wayâwhich he never cheated for the record, we were friends firstâbut in the end? He chose me,â She paused, searching for the next few words. âOr at least thatâs how I see it. And some people should just get over that instead of crying about it.â
Michael lowered his head.
Diane asked, âAnd do you think he still has feelings for her?â
Lisa looked at him and Michael looked very suddenly interested in the floor. Her mouth tightened before she spoke. âObviously. I donât get why he does, but I donât completely fault him for it because I know we got into this relationship so quickly.â
Michaelâs head snapped up, picking up on the small dig at (Name). âHey..â
She turned toward him, clearly irritated at him continuing to speak. âWhat, Michael? Seriously.â
âYou donât have to say it like that.â He lowers his voice, brows furrowed as he watches her.
âThen how should I say it?â
âI donât know.â Michaelâs expression became wounded. âBut not like that.â
Lisa looked at him then shook her head. âHonest, heâs in love with everybody.â
Michael stared at her. âThatâs not true.â
And that was the moment Michael realized that the interview wasnât going to be remembered for anything heâd said about marriage, privacy, or fame.
Tomorrow, the headlines would not be about Lisa Marie Presley. They wouldnât be about their wedding. They wouldnât even be about whether their marriage was real.
They would be about the fact that Michael Jackson had been asked whether he still loved his former wife and had somehow managed to answer yes without ever actually saying the word. And Lisa Marie Presley was sitting six inches away from him when he did it.
The fallout from the interview began almost immediately it aired. By the following morning, Michaelâs comments about (Name) had been pulled apart by every entertainment program and newspaper that could get its hands on them, with commentators dissecting his tone, his pauses, and the particular way his expression had changed whenever the interviewer brought up his former marriage. What might have been a relatively harmless acknowledgment of a complicated past had been transformed into a fresh round of speculation about whether he still loved her, whether his marriage to Lisa was already in trouble, and whether the two women were somehow competing for the same man. Her name appeared beside his in headlines she hadnât agreed to be part of, accompanied by photographs from years earlier that made the entire thing feel even more intrusive. Sheâd spent months deliberately stepping away from the spectacle surrounding Michaelâs personal life, only to find herself dragged directly back into it because heâd been unable to give a straightforward answer on television.
She watched the interview later that afternoon from the comfort of her own living room, Aladdin playing quietly in the adjoining room while she sat with the remote in her hand and increasingly narrowed eyes. She had expected the questions about his past. Sheâd known the interviewer would bring her up. What irritated her was the way Michael had answered them, circling around the subject instead of simply acknowledging that they had once been married and moving on. He hadnât said anything particularly scandalous, but there had been enough hesitation, enough softness in his voice, enough carefully chosen words to give the public something to chew on for weeks. By the time the segment ended, she had muted the television and stared at the blank screen for several seconds, her expression caught somewhere between disbelief and annoyance.
âMichael.â
She reached for her glass, taking a slow sip before setting it back down. She wasnât angry that heâd remembered their marriage. She was irritated that heâd managed to make their private history relevant to a marriage that had nothing to do with her. She had worked too fucking hard to separate herself from the constant speculation surrounding him, and now she was once again being discussed because apparently, she were an unresolved chapter in someone elseâs relationship.
The phone rang before she had fully decided whether she was more annoyed with Michael or with the people who had turned a fifteen minute interview into her problem because of their line of question. She stared at the receiver before answering.
âHello?â His voice came through.
âHey.â
âHi.â There was a brief silence. Neither seemed particularly interested in acknowledging what they both knew the call was about.
Finally, Michael sighed. â..Did you see it?â
Her eyebrows lifted. âHard to miss.â
He was quiet for a moment. âI didnât mean for it to.. become all of that.â
She let out a small, humorless laugh. âMichael, what on Earth were you thinking!â
âI wasnât trying to drag you into anything, Tink..â
âBut you did. And I told you not to call me that anymore.â Her voice remained controlled, but the irritation was unmistakable. âIâm not.. angry that you were asked about me. Iâm irritated that now everyone thinks thereâs some unfinished business between us that needs to be discussed.â
Another pause. âThere isnât?â
The question caught her off guard. She stared toward the window, her expression hardening. âIâm about to hang up.â
He seemed to realize heâd stepped somewhere he shouldnât. âPlease donât, Iâm sorry.â
âAre you?â
âYes.â His voice was softer now. âIâm sorry, really..â
She believed that he meant it, which somehow made the situation more frustrating. âJust.. be careful next time.â
âI will.â
Neither of them said goodbye, they lingered in the silence for another few seconds, both seeming reluctant to be the one to end the conversation, until she finally glanced toward the hallway.
âI have to go check on Aladdin. Heâs too quiet.â
âOkay.â
She hung up first.
A few days later, Michael came to pick Aladdin up for the afternoon and quickly noticed something different about her. She looked sexy, he hates to be crude but she did. Her hair had been styled pretty, her makeup was finished, and sheâd chosen an outfit that looked.. like she was intending to show a lot of skin. There was a small clutch sitting on the entryway table beside her keys, and a pair of heel that were clearly meant for going somewhere nicer than the grocery store rested near the door. Michaelâs eyes moved over the details unconsciously before he looked back at her face.
âYouâre going somewhere?â
She glanced down at herself as though sheâd forgotten what she was wearing. âYeah. I have an event.â
She turned back toward Aladdin, who was struggling to fit one of his toys into a small bag. Michael nodded once.
âOh.â He bent slightly to help Aladdin with the zipper, his expression carefully neutral. âWhat kind of event?â
She looked at him. âAn industry event.â
âMm.â He nodded again, pretending that answer had satisfied him. It hadnât.
He picked up Aladdinâs overnight bag and checked that everything was inside, but his attention kept drifting back toward her. âWhoâs going?â
(Name) looked at him with an expression that was nearly amused. âPeople.â
He blinked. âI meant, are you going with anyone?â
There was a tiny pause before she answered. âIâm going with friends.â
âOh.â Another nod. âWhich friends?â
That was when she understood exactly what he was doing. She studied him, watching the way he avoided looking directly at her while pretending to be intensely interested in the contents of Aladdinâs bag.
âWhy?â
âNo reason.â
âMichael.â
He finally looked at her. âWhat?â
She smiled faintly, but there was no warmth in it. âYouâre fishing.â
His mouth opened slightly before closing again. âIâm not, Iâm just curious.â
âSure.â She picked up Aladdinâs jacket and handed it to him. âAnd Iâm not telling you.â
He looked away, caught. She could see the faint frustration settling across his face, but she didnât indulge it. She simply crouched to straighten Aladdinâs collar and kissed the top of his head.
âHave fun with Daddy, okay?â
Aladdin nodded enthusiastically and grabbed Michaelâs hand.
Michael lingered at the doorway for a moment longer than necessary. He looked back at her, clearly tempted to ask again, but whatever question had been forming never made it out. (Name) stood there calmly, watching him with an expression that told him she knew exactly what heâd been trying to accomplish. There was no jealousy in her face, no defensiveness, no attempt to make him wonder whether she was seeing someone. She simply wasnât giving him access to that part of her life anymore. He had once known where she was going, who she was seeing, what she was wearing, and why she was going somewhere before sheâd even finished getting ready. Now he had to stand at the door and wonder. She gave him a small wave as he led Aladdin toward the car, and when the door finally closed behind them, she turned back toward the house without giving the interaction another thought. Michael, meanwhile, sat behind the wheel with his hands resting against it, staring through the windshield and wondering who exactly had earned the privilege of seeing her dressed like that tonight.
â â â 㠀㠀â㠀㠀July, 1995.
â â â â°ă € Neverland Ranch - Main Residence. Los Olivos, California.
The magazine had been open on the same spread for nearly fifteen minutes, although Michael had turned the pages enough times that Elizabeth suspected he had memorized the article by now. They were sitting together in the sunroom at Neverland Ranch, the afternoon light pouring through the tall windows and laying pale gold across the carpet, the gardens outside looking unnaturally serene beneath the California sun. Elizabeth had been enjoying her tea in the comfortable quiet of the room, occasionally watching Michael over the rim of her cup as he shifted in his chair and thumbed restlessly along the magazineâs glossy edge. He had been perfectly relaxed when heâd first picked it up. Now his posture had gradually stiffened, one ankle hooked behind the other, his shoulders slightly hunched forward as he studied the page with an intensity that would have been impressive if the subject werenât celebrity gossip.
The article was about his ex wife. That in itself wasn't unusual. Her name had been appearing with increasing frequency in entertainment magazines since the divorce, sometimes because of her work, sometimes because of her public appearances, and sometimes simply because the press seemed incapable of allowing a famous woman to exist without attaching a romantic narrative to her. This particular article had taken a more ambitious approach. Rather than linking her to one man, it had assembled an entire collection of them. There were photographs of her leaving restaurants with actors, laughing with musicians at industry parties, standing beside athletes at charity events, and talking with various famous men whose expressions suggested that their interest in her went considerably beyond professional admiration. The article itself was careful enough to acknowledge that not every encounter constituted a date, but the implication was obvious. Since her marriage had ended, men who had spent years admiring her from a safe distance apparently felt free to make their interest known.
One of them had openly admitted to having a crush on her. Another had been caught flirting with her at an awards event. A third had reportedly been trying to get her attention for months. The photographs didnât always show anything scandalous, which somehow seemed to bother Michael even more. There was no convenient villain here, no obvious indiscretion he could point to and condemn. There were simply men looking at his former wife and realizing she was available for the taking.
Michael turned another page and stopped, Elizabethâs eyes following the movement. He stared at the photograph before muttering, âThis is ridiculous.â
Elizabeth lowered her cup into its saucer with a quiet porcelain click and glanced toward the magazine. âWhat is, honey?â
Michaelâs finger remained tucked against the page. âThis. All of this.â He made a small, irritated gesture toward the article. âTheyâre taking every little thing she does and turning it into somethinâ.. she goes somewhere with a man and suddenly theyâre dating. She talks to another at a party and theyâre flirting. She laughs at something a man says and sheâs involved with him. Itâs irritating..â
Elizabethâs eyes moved from the magazine to Michael's face. He was trying very hard to sound irritated with journalism, and there was enough genuine annoyance in his voice that she might have believed him if he hadnât spent the previous ten minutes reading the same three paragraphs.
âTheyâre magazines, Michael.â
âI know what they are.â His eyes stayed on the page. âThatâs what makes it worse. They know people are going to read this. They know Aladdin is going to grow up and see these things about his mother. They donât care what they put in here.â
Elizabeth watched him, her expression becoming more thoughtful. Michael sensed the silence and finally looked up. âWhat is it?â
âNothing.â
His eyes narrowed slightly. âYouâre thinkinâ something.â
Elizabeth picked up her tea again, allowing the smallest hint of amusement to touch her expression. âIâm always thinking about something, my dear. You should know me better by now to know.â
Michaelâs mouth tightened as he looked back down at the magazine, apparently deciding that the safest course was to ignore her. âThis is about Aladdin.â
That made Elizabeth pause and she lowered her cup again. âOh, is it?â
âOf course, yes.â Michael answered too quickly, and the speed of it betrayed him before he could recover. He shifted in his chair then leaned forward to rest his forearms against his knees, the magazine hanging loosely from one hand. âSheâs his mother. Thatâs what people forget. They can write whatever they want about adults, but eventually.. heâs going to see this stuff. Heâs going to have people asking him questions about his mother and who sheâs seeing and why.. why sheâs always being photographed with different men.â He trails off. âI donât think that's fair to him.â
Elizabeth nodded slowly. âNo. It isnât.â Michael relaxed a fraction, then she added, âBut Iâm not sure thatâs the only thing bothering you.â
Michael gave her a long look before turning his attention back to the article. âI donât like the way theyâre handling it.â
Elizabeth leaned back against her chair, crossing one leg over the other beneath the table. âThe article?â
âThe whole thing.â
âWhat whole thing?â
âThe way theyâre making her look.â
Elizabeth waited and Michael's gaze remained fixed on the page. âLike sheâs going from man to man.â
There was a tiny pause. âWhy does it matter if she is?â
He looked at her and Elizabeth kept her expression perfectly neutral.
Michaelâs jaw moved, and it looked like he was physically swallowing on something. â.. It doesnât.â
âThen whatâs the problem?â
âBecause that's what theyâre implying.â His eyes dropped toward the photograph again. âTheyâre exploiting her. She doesnâtâshe doesnât know any better.â He said.
âMichael..â
âYes?â
âItâs.. it isnât your job to protect her anymore. Sheâs a big girl now, Iâve watched her grow and blossom into this.. beautiful flower. Sheâs not as naive as she was back then, itâs been almost ten years.â
That stopped him.
Michael stared at the page, his fingertip moving unconsciously along the edge of the paper. âYou donât understand. Even these no good rappers thinking they have a chance.. I meanâ(Name) isnât that kind of woman.â
Elizabeth watched him carefully. âYou seem to know quite a lot about which men have been trying to get her attention.â
Michael looked up and she lifted her cup and took a slow sip, giving him no satisfaction whatsoever.
The photograph beneath his hand showed her at some industry gathering, dressed elegantly and standing beside an actor whose attention was very obviously fixed on her. He had one hand near the small of her back, not quite touching her, while she laughed at something he had said. The picture wasnât intimate enough to prove anything, but it was intimate enough for Michaelâs imagination to supply the missing pieces, which was precisely why he had looked at it so many times.
He hated that she looked happy.
That was the part he couldnât explain away.
There was nothing forced about her expression. She wasnât posing for the cameras or giving them the pretty smile sheâd learned to use when she knew she was being watched. She was genuinely laughing, her head tipped slightly toward the man beside her, her entire face relaxed in a way Michael knew intimately.
His thumb stopped moving.
âShe looks happy,â He said and Elizabethâs eyes moved toward him. Michael seemed to realize only after the words were out that heâd said them aloud.
âShe does,â Elizabeth answered.
His eyes remained on the photograph. âShe doesnât even know him that well.â
Elizabethâs eyebrows lifted. âHow do you know?â
Michael hesitated. âI know.â
âYou know him?â
âNo.â
âThen how do you know how well she knows him?â
Michael finally looked at her, visibly annoyed by the direction the conversation had taken. âIâve heard about him.â
Elizabethâs mouth threatened to curve and Michael saw it. âDon't.â
She picked up her teaspoon and stirred the tea she had already finished sweetening, mostly because it gave her something to do with her hands. âMichael, you appear to know more about this womanâs social calendar than she probably does.â
His expression changed. âI have a child with her.â
âYes.â Elizabeth's eyes moved to him again.
âShe tells me a little bit.â Michael kept his gaze toward the windows.
The statement wasnât entirely untrue. On the rare occasions when they had to communicate, usually because of a mutual obligation, an industry event, or some other unavoidable overlap in their social circles, she would sometimes mention offhandedly that she was attending a particular function. He never thought much of it at first. But he started to noticed who appeared beside her in photographs. He noticed who seemed to be attending the same events. He noticed which men were mentioned more than once. He noticed when someone who had never previously been associated with her began appearing everywhere she went.
And, most humiliatingly, he noticed when she seemed to enjoy someoneâs company.
Michael closed the magazine halfway and rubbed his thumb against the spine. Elizabeth let him have the silence for perhaps ten seconds.
Then she said, âSheâs also single.â And Michaelâs eyes lifted. Elizabeth watched the reaction happen. âShe can go to dinner with somebody,â Elizabeth continued, her tone remaining calm and matter-of-fact. âShe can have friends. She can flirt. She can be photographed with men. She can date if she wants to date. Sheâsâsheâs owed that, honey.â
âI know.â Michaelâs response came quietly, defensively.
Elizabeth watched him turn the page. âAnd eventually she can fall in love again.â
His hand stopped and the page remained half turned beneath his fingers. Michael stared down at it and he carefully flattened the page and lowered his hand to the table. âI know.â
His voice was different now, the irritation had gone out of it as Elizabeth studied him. Michael leaned back in his chair and looked through the windows, his attention moving beyond the gardens to somewhere much farther away. His expression had become unusually still, and the silence that followed wasnât uncomfortable so much as revealing. The afternoon continued around them without concern.
Somewhere outside, birds moved through the trees. A faint breeze stirred the curtains beside the windows.
He knew she was allowed.
He knew that better than anyone.
The divorce had given her the right to rebuild her life without having to explain herself to him. She didnât owe him solitude. She didnât owe him a period of mourning that lasted long enough to make him comfortable. She didnât owe him the courtesy of making sure nobody flirted with her in public. She was allowed to have the dating life that twenty somethingâs were expected to have.
And yet seeing it was another matter entirely.
Michael finally looked down at the article again. âI donât like it.â He looked at her. âI donâ t like seeing her with them.â The admission was quiet enough that it disappeared beneath the sound of the teaspoon settling against the saucer.
Elizabethâs expression softened.
Michael seemed to regret saying it. He shifted in his chair, his fingers returning to the magazine. âI doâ't mean that I think she belongs to me. I donât. I know she doesnât. She can do whatever she wants.. And I donât care who she sees.â
Elizabethâs gaze dropped to the photograph beneath his hand. She knew well enough that he was trying to convince himself that his words were true.
Michael sighed, then leaned forward and closed the magazine again. He placed both hands flat against it, as though physically restraining himself from opening it again. âI just donât like the idea of some man coming around my son and acting like he knows her and my baby.â
âThat is a different concern.â She said.
âYes.â
âAnd a reasonable one.â Michael nodded at her words, feeling a bit of relief.
Elizabeth waited before adding, âBut youâre still jealous.â
His head lifted. âI am not jealous.â The answer was fast, indignant enough to be convincing. Elizabeth merely looked at him.
Michael held her gaze for a few seconds before looking away. âIâm not.â
âShe was my wife,â He said finally. âWe were together for a long time,â He repeated, quieter this time. âFor a long time.â
âI know.. and now sheâs not.â Elizabeth let the statement sit between them.
Michael swallowed. He looked like he was reminding himself of something he understood intellectually but hadnât quite accepted emotionally.
âI know she can be with whoever she wants,â he said. âI know that. I just...â His sentence trailed off, and he rubbed the heel of one hand against his palm before settling it back on the magazine. âItâs so strange.â Michaelâs eyes drifted toward the photograph again. âItâs strange seeing everybody else suddenly get to have her.. and I canât anymore.â
Elizabeth went still and Michael realized what heâd said almost immediately, looking back toward the window.
The words had escaped before he could reshape them into something safer, but there was truth in them. Not ownership exactly. Something more complicated and considerably more painful. There had been a time when he could look at her across a room and know that, whatever was happening around them, there was still a private bond between them that nobody else could touch. Even after the marriage became difficult, even after they hurt one another badly enough that divorce became inevitable, he had still possessed the strange security of knowing that the history between them belonged to both of them.
Now the world was moving around her as though that history had become irrelevant. Men who had once admired her from afar could approach her. Men who had always thought she was beautiful could tell her. Men who had watched her marry Michael Jackson could now look at her and see only a single woman.
Michael wasnât prepared for how much he hated that.

â â â â°ă € Bluebird Cottage Preschool - Hidden Hills, California
The preschool graduation was held on a warm June morning beneath a white canvas tent on the schoolâs back lawn, the kind of ceremony that was far more elaborate than any four or five year old could possibly understand and far more important to the parents than they would ever admit. Tiny folding chairs had been arranged in neat rows across the grass, each one decorated with a small paper name card, while a low wooden platform stood at the front beneath a banner congratulating the graduating class in bright, cheerful letters. There were flowers tied to the ends of the aisle, disposable cameras being passed between parents, grandparents whispering excitedly to one another, and a table covered in miniature cakes and fruit waiting for the reception afterward. Somewhere near the entrance, a teacher was trying unsuccessfully to keep a collection of children in tiny yellow caps and gowns from running off before the ceremony had even begun. (Name) stood among the other parents with one hand resting lightly against the strap of her handbag, listening with half an ear as another mother beside her talked about summer plans. She smiled when appropriate, laughed quietly at something she was told, and looked entirely at ease. There was nothing performative about it all, she wasnât scanning the crowd. She wasnât wondering whether Michael had arrived yet. She wasnât thinking about him at all. She was happy and today was Aladdinâs day.
Then the whispering began near the entrance, no need to turn around to know who had arrived.
A few seconds later, she heard the familiar murmur of recognition that followed Michael wherever he went, even when he was trying to attend something as ordinary as a preschool ceremony. She finally glanced over her shoulder and saw him standing with Lisa, both of them accompanied by a small cluster of people who had managed to make a four year oldâs graduation look like the president was here. Something inside her tightened, but it was fleeting. Lisaâs presence was not unexpected. Michael had brought her into the life they had once shared, and there was no reason to pretend that history had somehow ceased to exist simply because the marriage was over. Still, seeing them arrive together produced a small, involuntary ache beneath her ribs, the kind of feeling that belonged to an older version of herself. She swallowed it before it could become anything more, turned back toward the stage, and adjusted the sleeve of her dress. That was all. She did not stare. She didnât react, not allowing the sight of another woman beside her former husband to become the center of a day that belonged to her son.
Michael, however, had been looking at her since the moment heâd walked through the gate.
And for several seconds, he genuinely couldnât breathe properly.
It wasnât the sentimental kind of reaction heâd expected from seeing her again. It wasnât simply that she looked good. She looked absolutely fucking devastating. There was something disorienting about it, because he had spent so long remembering her through the worst period of their marriage that his mind had unconsciously preserved an older version of her. The woman he remembered had been beautiful, certainly, but there had always been tension beneath it. Exhaustion around her eyes. A guardedness in her expression. The faintly distracted look of someone whose thoughts were perpetually somewhere else, usually worrying about him. This woman had none of that. She looked rested. Healthy. Completely present. Her face seemed softer without being diminished, her posture effortless, her clothes elegant without appearing calculated. Her hair had changed, falling around her shoulders in a way he didnât recognize, and when she laughed at something the woman beside her said, the sound carried across the lawn with such effortless warmth that his stomach actually turned.
He looked away, then looked back.
That was the problem.
He couldnât seem to stop.
His mouth went dry. A strange pressure developed beneath his ribs, followed by the sudden, almost nauseating awareness of his own heartbeat. He swallowed hard and shifted his weight, as though changing his physical position might somehow restore his composure. It didnât. She was still there, still laughing, still completely unaware of him, and the fact that she wasnât looking at him made it worse. He had expected resentment. He had expected anger. He had even expected her to look older, more tired, somehow marked by the time theyâd spent apart. Instead, she looked like someone who had been released from a weight he hadnât realized heâd been watching her carry. She looked happy. The unguarded kind that made him feel as though he were witnessing something he no longer had any right to see.
Michael felt genuinely ill.
It was an ugly realization, because beneath the admiration was something painfully close to grief. He had known this woman more intimately than anyone else in the world. He had watched her wake up with tangled hair and sleep still in her eyes. He had known what she looked like when she was sick, when she was exhausted, when she was furious, when she had just finished crying and tried to pretend she hadnât. He had once been able to reach across a room and touch her simply because she was his wife. Now he was standing several yards away, watching her laugh with someone else and realizing that he had somehow managed to lose access to a person who had once been woven into nearly every ordinary part of his life.
And she hadnât even noticed he was staring.
Lisa noticed.
She noticed the direction of his eyes, following his line of sight toward (Name) before looking back at him. She said nothing. Michael seemed to realize only afterwards that heâd been caught staring and finally looked away, rubbing his thumb absently against the side of his hand. He tried to redirect his attention toward the ceremony preparations, toward the people around him, toward anything that wasnât the woman standing across the lawn, but his eyes kept betraying him. Every time she moved, his attention followed. When she bent down to fix the strap of her sonâs little graduation cap, he watched. When she tucked her hair behind her ear, he watched. When she laughed, he watched. He was angry with himself for it, because none of this was useful. Beauty didnât change anything. Missing her didnât change anything. Feeling sick over how beautiful she looked didnât undo the years between them.
Then the children were called forward.
One by one, the little graduates appeared in their miniature caps and gowns, some walking proudly toward the platform while others clung to their teachers or stared blankly at the audience with the solemn confusion of children who had no idea why so many adults were crying. When Aladdinâs name was finally announced, (Name)âs entire face changed. She straightened, her eyes lighting with unmistakable pride as she watched him walk toward the stage with his cap sitting slightly crooked on his head. She looked radiant in that moment, because she was completely absorbed in her son. Michaelâs chest tightened again. He watched her applaud, watched her smile, watched the pride spread across her face as Aladdin accepted his little certificate, and something inside him twisted painfully with the realization that this was what she looked like when she wasnât waiting for him anymore.
Aladdin eventually spotted them in the crowd and waved both hands enthusiastically despite being told repeatedly to keep them at his sides. (Name) laughed, covering her mouth, while Michael found himself smiling despite everything. When the ceremony ended, Aladdin ran toward his mother first, throwing himself against her legs before proudly presenting the certificate heâd been given. She crouched, straightening his cap and kissing his cheek while he talked over himself trying to explain every detail of the ceremony. Michael approached more slowly, giving them space, and when Aladdin finally noticed him, he reached for his fatherâs hand without hesitation. Michael crouched beside him, his expression softening as his son proudly announced that he was âgraduated now.â The years between them seemed to disappear. There was simply a father, a mother, and their little boy standing together beneath the afternoon sun.
When someone suggested taking a picture of Aladdin with both his parents, (Name) agreed without hesitation. She moved beside Michael because it was the simplest thing to do, positioning herself on Aladdinâs other side while the photographer raised the camera. She was completely focused on their son, smoothing down the front of his little gown and reminding him to hold up his certificate properly. Michael stood beside her, close enough to smell the faint perfume sheâd worn, and the proximity nearly undid him. He could see the details of her face from inches away now, the little changes time had made, the confidence that hadnât existed the last time heâd stood this close to her. She didnât look at him once. She didnât seem remotely conscious of the fact that he was looking at her.
The camera flashed.
Michael looked at her instead of the lens.
She never noticed.
When the photographer took another picture, (Name) laughed and leaned toward Aladdin, completely unaware of the man standing beside her looking at her stupid because he had just been confronted with the full consequence of his own decisions. Michaelâs stomach turned again, that same awful mixture of attraction, grief, guilt, and disbelief twisting beneath his ribs. She was still the most beautiful woman heâd ever seen. Somehow, after everything heâd done, after everything theyâd survived, after the years they had spent apart, she had become even more beautiful.
And the worst part was that she had no idea.
She simply took Aladdinâs hand when the photographs were finished and walked away with him, laughing at something he said.
Michael watched her go.
She never once looked back.
â â â 㠀㠀â㠀㠀 September, 1995.
â â â â°ă € MTV Video Music Awards - Radio City Music Hall, NYC.
The MTV Video Music Awards had the particular kind of chaos that seemed to exist nowhere else. Music blared from somewhere beyond every corridor, production assistants hurried past with headsets pressed to their ears, celebrities disappeared behind curtains only to reappear moments later beneath a storm of camera flashes, and every hallway seemed to contain someone waiting to be interviewed. (Name) had been prepared for the spectacle. She had attended enough award shows to know how to move through them without being swallowed by the noise, how to smile for cameras when necessary and disappear into the background when she wanted to. What she hadnât anticipated was Michaelâs performance. She knew he was performing âYou Are Not Alone,â but knowing the title and being emotionally prepared to watch him stand beneath a spotlight were two entirely different things.
She was somewhere in the audience when the lights finally dropped, the noise of the arena dissolving into anticipation. Michael appeared onstage to an eruption of screaming, and for the first few moments she forced herself to watch him the same way everyone else was watching him. He was performing. That was all. It should have been easy to separate the man onstage from the man she had once known intimately, but there were too many small things she recognized. The tilt of his head. The way his hand moved when he became particularly absorbed in a lyric. The subtle shift in his expression when the performance stopped feeling like choreography and started feeling personal. She tried to tell herself that she was imagining it, that years of knowing someone could make ordinary gestures feel meaningful when they werenât.
Then he turned toward the audience.
His arm extended.
His finger pointed.
The camera immediately cut to the crowd, and the arena erupted all over again.
(Name)âs breath caught.
It lasted barely a second, but it was enough. Her mind betrayed her before she could stop it, instantly searching the direction of his gesture, trying to determine who he had been looking at. She knew there was no rational reason to assume it had been her. Lisa was there. Thousands of people were there. The gesture could have been directed toward anyone, or toward no one at all. It could have been nothing more than part of the performance. Yet something about the timing, the expression on his face, the strange familiarity of the way he had looked into the crowd made her heart begin pounding so hard that she could feel it in her throat.
By the time the performance ended, the audience was on its feet. The reaction was enormous, and within minutes the gesture had become one of the things people were talking about. Cameras replayed the moment. Commentators speculated about its meaning. Someone somewhere inevitably asked whether Michael had been pointing toward Lisa, while another person insisted that the gesture had been aimed somewhere else in the audience. It took nearly no time at all for (Name)âs name to begin circulating alongside his, dragged back into the conversation despite her having done absolutely nothing to invite it.
She lasted several minutes before the room became too much.
The applause, the music, the cameras, the whispers, the people who kept glancing toward her as though they were trying to determine whether she had reacted to the performance, all of it began pressing inward until she could no longer distinguish one sensation from another. She excused herself quietly and slipped into one of the bathrooms, locking herself inside a stall for several minutes while she tried to breathe normally. She pressed her palms against her knees and closed her eyes, furious with herself for being affected at all. She had spent years learning how to live without him. She had built a life that no longer revolved around what Michael was doing, who he was with, or what the public thought of their history. Yet one stupid gesture from a stage could still make her feel sixteen different emotions at once.
When she finally stepped out of the stall, she nearly walked directly into Lisa.
Both women stopped.
It was an absurd coincidence, the kind of encounter that might have been funny under literally any other circumstances. Instead, the air between them became tense. Lisaâs expression changed first, recognition followed by something harder. (Name) straightened instinctively, wishing she had stayed in the stall.
âAre you okay?â The question sounded polite.
(Name) nodded. âIâm fine.â
Lisa studied her. âYou didnât look fine out there.â
Something in her tone made (Name)âs shoulders stiffen. âI said Iâm fine.â
Lisa exhaled slowly, but whatever restraint she had been trying to maintain seemed to fray as quickly as she regained her composure. âI watched you during his performance.â
âAnd?â
âAnd you looked like you were going to fall apart.â
(Name)âs expression hardened. âI was overwhelmed.â
âWas it because he pointed at you?â
She simply stared at Lisa. âI donât know who he pointed at, Lisa.â
âThis is ridiculousâyou think I donât know that he loves you? You think I want to hear about you every time heâs upset?â Lisa demanded. âYou think I wanted to feel like there was another woman standing in the room every time he talked about his past?â
âThen maybe you should ask your husband about this instead of thinking Iâm the problem.â
âDo you have a problem with me?â Lisaâs voice was sharp enough to cut through the noise of the bathroom, and (Name) turned toward her slowly, still trying to understand why she had followed her into the room in the first place.
âNo. Do you have one with me?â
âAlright. Then have you been fucking my husband?â
âExcuse me?â
âYou heard me.â
(Name) stared at her, genuinely stunned before the disbelief gave way to anger. âAre you fucking serious right now?â
âIâm asking you a question.â
âAnd Iâm telling you, that youâve lost your goddammed mind.â
Lisa folded her arms, her expression hardening. âLook, we donât need to keep having this back and forth. Iâm bigger than this. Besides, Iâm sure you have somewhere to be. Like taking care of your kid.â
The insult landed exactly where Lisa intended it to and (Name)âs expression changed. âBitch, where the fuck are your kids?â
Lisaâs jaw tightened. âNot watching me pop pills.â
The silence afterward lasted perhaps half a second?
Then (Name) hit her. Square in the nose.
There was no warning for either woman to reconsider. Her hand moved before the anger had even caught up with it, the impact snapping Lisaâs head back as she stumbled backward before she grabbed at (Name), and whatever thin thread of restraint had remained between them finally disappeared. They collided hard, knocking into the counter before losing their balance and crashing onto the tiled floor.
Someone screamed. Another voice shouted for security.
By the time the bathroom door swung open, both women were tangled on the floor, hair disheveled, clothes pulled askew, each trying to get the upper hand while several horrified staff members rushed forward to separate them. One of the people who had entered froze for a fraction before reaching for the radio clipped to their belt.
âGet security in here!â
âIâve got them!â
âDonât fucking touch me!â
The entire thing became chaos within seconds. People crowded the doorway. Someone recognized Lisa. Someone else recognized (Name). A production assistant backed away with wide eyes, whispering into a phone. The bathroom that had been empty moments earlier suddenly became the center of a miniature backstage emergency, with staff trying to pull the two women apart while both continued shouting over one another.
And, because humanity apparently cannot witness a disaster without very quickly turning it into content, someone outside the bathroom had already begun telling people what had happened. Within minutes, the story had transformed from a private argument into the nightâs most coveted piece of backstage gossip.
Two women. One man. A screaming match. A physical altercation. And somewhere in the building, a few thousand people were still applauding Michael Jacksonâs performance, completely unaware that his unresolved past had just exploded in a bathroom a few corridors away.
The days following the VMAs left a residue neither marriage could quite scrub away. Michael was furious with Lisa for putting her hands on (Name), and while he understood that the argument had escalated on both sides, he could not get past the fact that Lisa had chosen to engage the mother of his child in that way. He made that distinction repeatedly in his own mind, insisting that his anger had nothing to do with lingering feelings and everything to do with Aladdin. She was his sonâs mother. She was someone he had once promised to protect. Whatever existed between them now, whatever had been destroyed years earlier, there were certain lines he still believed should never have been crossed. Yet, even as he tried to frame his reaction in terms of fatherhood and basic decency, Lisa began noticing how instinctively protective he remained of (Name), and how quickly his composure changed whenever her name entered a conversation.
Lisaâs suspicion didnât come from any dramatic confession or one incriminating incident but from accumulation. Michael seemed to know too much about (Name)âs life for someone who insisted their relationship was limited to co-parenting. He knew when she was traveling, which events she had attended, what projects she was working on, and occasionally details he could only have learned through conversations that had nothing to do with Aladdin. Whenever Lisa questioned him, he retreated behind the same explanation: (Name) was Aladdinâs mother, and naturally that meant there would always be some degree of communication between them. It was technically true, which made it all the more frustrating. Lisa could not point to a single thing and call it evidence of an affair. There were no secret meetings, no physical betrayal she could prove, no obvious infidelity. What she could see was the difference in him. He never sounded as though (Name) were simply the mother of his child. There was history in his voice. Familiarity. A tenderness he seemed completely unaware of until someone else pointed it out.
In the following weeks their arguments became increasingly centered around that uncomfortable space between what Michael insisted was true and what Lisa could plainly observe. He continued to reduce the relationship to its most defensible definition, while Lisa became increasingly convinced that the word âjustâ had never belonged anywhere near (Name). Michael could say that he had moved on. He could insist that his marriage to Lisa existed independently of his past. He could remind her that he and (Name) had been divorced for years. None of it changed the fact that the past remained emotionally active inside him, even if he refused to name it. Eventually, their arguments stopped being about (Name) herself and became about the larger question Lisa had begun asking herself: whether she had married a man who was actually available to her.
The answer became increasingly difficult for both of them to ignore. Their marriage had begun to feel less like a relationship and more like two people occupying the same emotional space while avoiding the obvious emptiness between them. Michael withdrew further into himself, spending longer hours working, retreating into private rooms, finding reasons to be elsewhere whenever the atmosphere at home became too heavy. Lisa stopped pressing as often because she was beginning to understand that there was no question she could ask that would force him to confront something he wasn't ready to admit. Their home became quieter. The arguments became less explosive and more exhausted, which was somehow worse. Anger still implied investment. Silence suggested resignation. Lisa started to contact her ex-husband again, to which, Michael had his suspicions confirmed through a mutual friend.
Meanwhile, (Name)âs life continued moving in a direction that had nothing to do with either of them. She had continued seeing other men casually, without the frantic quality that might have suggested she was trying to replace Michael or prove something to herself. She went to dinners. She accepted invitations. She attended events with people who made her laugh. She allowed herself to be flirted with and, occasionally, to flirt back. Dating no longer felt like an act of rebellion against her past. It was simply something a young woman was allowed to do when she had finally stopped treating her divorce like a permanent state of her love life. She had spent years being someoneâs wife, someoneâs mother, someoneâs partner, and she was beginning to enjoy the novelty of being herself without having to explain what that meant.
Then another magazine appeared, and this one was different than the one he read with Elizabeth months prior.
The photograph on the cover showed (Name) leaving a restaurant beside a man whose face had begun appearing beside hers with increasing frequencyâMatthew Lillard. There were no sensational claims about a whirlwind romance, nothing definitive enough to be called a relationship, but the article noted the pattern that had begun developing around them. They had attended several of the same events. They had been photographed together more than once. He had been seen leaving her home. They were no longer simply appearing in the same social circles by coincidence. There was something developing, something sufficiently consistent that even the magazine seemed to recognize the difference between another casual dinner and a relationship that might actually have somewhere to go.
Michael found the magazine and pretended he hadnât been interested in it. The conversation he has with Elizabeth a while back plaguing his mindâit feels like deja vu.
He sat with it open in his hands far longer than necessary, his eyes moving slowly across the article while his expression remained blank. He read every paragraph. He studied every photograph. He lingered on the ones that showed (Name) laughing, particularly the photographs in which she looked completely comfortable beside this man. There was something about her expression that unsettled him more than the manâs presence itself. She looked happy, genuinely at ease. There was no visible trace of the woman who had once been consumed by their marriage. She looked as though she had reached a point where Michael was no longer the central fact around which her life organized itself.
He kept telling himself the article didnât bother him.
He turned the page.
Then he went back and looked at the photograph again.
The realization that followed was unpleasant precisely because he could not justify it. He had no claim on her. He had given that up years ago. She was allowed to date whoever she wanted, to fall in love, to marry again, to build an entirely new life if she chose. None of those things belonged to him anymore. He knew that intellectually. What he couldnât explain was why the possibility of another man becoming familiar with the parts of her he had once considered exclusively his made something dark and possessive twist inside him.
Across the room, Lisa noticed the magazine. She noticed how long he had been holding it. She noticed that he hadnât turned the page in several minutes.
And, more importantly, she noticed that Michael wasnât reading the article anymore.
He was staring at the photograph.
For the first time, Lisa didnât need to ask what he was thinking.
â â â 㠀㠀â㠀㠀 November - December 1995.
â â â â°ă € Los Angeles, California.
Thanksgiving arrived with the strange negotiated rhythm that had become normal for Aladdin. He spent part of the holiday with (Name), surrounded by his motherâs warmth, food spread across a table that had been set with far more care than necessary for a little boy who was mostly interested in dessert, and then crossed the city later in the day to spend time with Michael. The arrangement had once seemed impossibly sad to (Name), the idea of dividing holidays into blocks of hours and deciding which parent got which traditions. But by then, she had learned that children did not experience time the way adults did. Aladdin didnât sit at the table counting how many hours he had left before he had to leave. He was simply happy to be loved in two different homes, and watching that happiness made the arrangement easier to bear. When Michael arrived to pick him up, there was no tension between them. They exchanged the kind of quiet acknowledgment that had become increasingly common, a simple recognition that the day belonged to their son and neither of them intended to make it about the past.
Christmas was more complicated, simply because Christmas had once belonged to all three of them. There were traditions that had survived the divorce accidentally: certain decorations, certain foods, the same ridiculous childrenâs movies playing in the background while Aladdin tore through wrapping paper with the enthusiasm of someone convinced every box contained the greatest gift ever manufactured. This year, they agreed to spend part of Christmas morning together for his sake. It was surprisingly peaceful. There was no performance of reconciliation and no attempt to pretend they were still a family in the conventional sense. They simply occupied the same room without fighting. Michael sat on the floor helping Aladdin assemble one of his toys while (Name) sat nearby, drinking coffee and watching their son struggle with a piece that clearly did not belong where he insisted it belonged. At one point, Aladdin became frustrated and demanded that both of them help him, and the absurdity of the situation made (Name) laugh. Michael looked over at her, and for a fleeting moment, there was something that felt warm between them. They had spent years doing this together. They knew how to parent the same child. They knew how to communicate without speaking when Aladdin was being particularly difficult. For a few minutes, the history between them seemed less like an open wound and more like something old and complicated that could simply exist without any added drama or attention.
Michael found himself unexpectedly grateful for the memory. He had spent so much of the year thinking about everything he had lost that he had forgotten there were still pieces of the old life that could exist without destroying either of them. Watching (Name) laugh with Aladdin, watching her kneel beside him when he wanted to show her something, watching the three of them occupy the same space without anger, made him briefly understand that divorce had not erased everything they had built. It had only changed what they were allowed to call it. When it was time for him to take Aladdin, there was no bitterness or hesitation. (Name) helped their son into his coat, kissed his cheek, and reminded him to behave for his father. Michael thanked her quietly, their eyes meeting before he turned toward the door with Aladdinâs hand in his.
The contrast became painfully obvious when he returned to Lisa. Their own holiday celebrations were perfectly pleasant on the surface. There were gifts, dinners, photographs, appearances, and all the expected rituals of a couple spending Christmas together. Nothing was outwardly wrong. They could sit beside one another, smile when necessary, exchange presents and participate in conversations with family and friends without anyone realizing how little they were actually sharing. Yet the intimacy had begun to feel absent from everything they did. Michael could be physically present while seeming miles away, and Lisa had stopped trying to pull him back every time he disappeared into his own thoughts. She began noticing how often his attention drifted toward his phone, how easily he became distracted, and how much more animated he seemed when talking about Aladdin than when discussing their life together. Even when (Name) was never mentioned, Lisa could feel the presence of that history sitting quietly between them.
By the end of the holiday season, Lisa had stopped asking herself whether she was imagining the distance. She wasnât. The marriage had become something neither of them seemed willing to name, but the silence surrounding it had started to feel like an answer. She had once believed that if they loved each other enough, the complications surrounding Michael would eventually become manageable. She had believed there would be a point where the past stopped being present, where his history with (Name) became exactly that: history. Instead, she was beginning to understand that the problem was not necessarily that Michael wanted to return to his former marriage. It was that some part of him had never actually left it emotionally. He had moved forward in every practical sense while carrying pieces of it with him, and Lisa was exhausted from pretending those pieces werenât taking up space in their relationship.
Christmas ended quietly. There was no dramatic confrontation, no sudden declaration that everything was over. Just two people returning to a home that had begun to feel less like a marriage and more like a place they happened to occupy together. Michael was increasingly withdrawn, retreating into himself whenever the atmosphere became too heavy, while Lisa became increasingly aware that she was waiting for a version of their relationship that might never return. The holidays had given them a temporary illusion of normalcy, but once the decorations came down and the visitors left, there was nothing left to distract them from the truth.
Their marriage was already beginning to unravel. The paperwork would come later. The legal language would eventually give the separation a date, a filing number and a formal ending. But emotionally, the ending had begun long before either of them was willing to call it that.

The separation did not remain private for long. By the first week of January, photographs of Michael and Lisa appearing separately were being accompanied by increasingly confident reports that their marriage was in trouble, and within days the speculation had become an accepted fact in the entertainment press. The moment the separation became public, however, the story acquired a third character. (Name)âs name began appearing in headlines and television segments alongside theirs, usually accompanied by some variation of the same insinuation: that Michael had never gotten over his first wife, that Lisa had finally become tired of competing with his past, and that (Name) was somehow responsible for the collapse of their marriage. The fact that (Name) had been divorced from Michael for years seemed irrelevant. The press had already decided that the story was more interesting if she were positioned at its center.
She was furiousâabsolutely furious. She had spent the better part of two years rebuilding a life and now strangers were casually assigning her responsibility for the failure of a marriage she had not been a part of. She began seeing her own name in articles she had never spoken to, reading descriptions of her supposed relationship with Michael that bore little resemblance to reality. The more she tried to ignore it, the more absurd it became. Her divorce had already been public enough. She had no desire to become the villain in another womanâs marriage simply because the man at its center had unresolved feelings.
Michael refused to discuss her publicly. Whenever reporters asked whether (Name) had played a role in the separation, he declined to answer. He wouldnât confirm anything, wouldnât deny anything, and wouldnât offer the press even a sentence they could use to close the subject. From his perspective, he was protecting her. He knew that anything he said about their history would be dissected, exaggerated, and turned into another headline, and he had no intention of feeding it. Unfortunately, silence was not interpreted as protection. It was interpreted as confirmation.
(Name) eventually called him and she was far less diplomatic than the reporters had been.
âYou need to say something.â
Michael was quiet on the other end. âIâm not talking about you.â
âThatâs exactly the problem.â
He sighed. âI donât want to give them anything.â
âYouâre already giving them something.â There was a pause. âTheyâre saying I broke up your marriage! And youâre letting them!â
âIâm not letting them do anything.â He says through the receiver.
âYou are when you refuse to correct them.â
Michael rubbed his forehead, staring blankly at the floor. âIf I say your name, theyâll make it worse.â
âTheyâre already making it worse.â She says. âI donât need you to defend me by pretending I donât exist in your life.. I need you to understand that when you say nothing, people fill in the blanks themselves. And they never fill them in with anything kind.â
He knew she was right. He had spent so much of his life trying to control what the public knew about him that he had forgotten there were circumstances where withholding information could create more damage than providing it. His silence was meant to keep (Name) out of the story, but the story had already swallowed her.
On January 18, the divorce filing became official.
The paperwork was filed quietly, but nothing involving Michael remained quiet for long. By that afternoon, the news had spread through the entertainment press and the speculation intensified. The filing gave the rumors a concrete shape. This was no longer merely a troubled marriage or an uncertain separation. It was a legal process now, and once again, (Name)âs name surfaced alongside it.
When she and Michael eventually spoke after the filing, neither seemed to know how to begin.
There was something strangely awkward about hearing him discuss the end of another marriage. She knew she shouldnât care. She had no claim to his emotional state, no responsibility for what happened between him and Lisa, and certainly no desire to become involved simply because their shared history made everything more complicated.
Still, she worried about him. And she hated that she did.
âYou know what everyone is going to say now.â
âI know.â
âTheyâre going to assume you filed because you want to come back to me.â She almost laughed. âAnd Iâm not going to be your rebound.â
He understood.
She wasnât talking about dating or talking about whether he would ask her out or whether they would eventually find their way back to one another. She was talking about the emotional vacuum that existed after a marriage ended, the dangerous temptation to reach backward toward something familiar simply because the future was frightening.
When he finally spoke, his voice was soft. âYou're not a rebound.â
She looked down at the floor. âThen what am I?â
He had no easy answer, and that silence told her more than she wanted it to.
â â â 㠀㠀â㠀㠀 February, 1996.
â â â â°ă € Los Angeles, California.
Michaelâs calls to (Name) became more frequent without either of them acknowledging that they had. At first, there was an obvious reason for every one of them. He would call to ask what time Aladdin had eaten, whether he had remembered to bring his favorite pajamas to Neverland, whether he was still insisting on sleeping with the same stuffed animal he had carried everywhere for years. Sometimes it was a question about school or a minor scrape he had gotten during play. Nothing inappropriate. Nothing that could not reasonably be attributed to two divorced parents trying to stay informed about their child. (Name) answered because Aladdin was involved, and that distinction mattered to her. She kept their conversations polite, practical, and deliberately contained. If Michael asked about Aladdin, she answered about Aladdin. If the conversation ended there, she considered it a successful call.
Then the calls began stretching.
A question about Aladdin would somehow become a discussion about something Michael had seen on television. That would become a complaint about an upcoming appearance. That would become him telling her about something that had happened at Neverland, or asking her opinion about a decision he was trying to make, or simply talking because he seemed reluctant to hang up. There were evenings when she would realize several minutes had passed without either of them mentioning their son at all. She began recognizing the pattern before he did. âHowâs Aladdin?â had become less of a question and more of an entry point, a socially acceptable excuse for hearing her voice.
Michael rarely seemed to notice when the conversations crossed that invisible line. He would call expecting to discuss something small and then find himself talking to her for nearly an hour. Sometimes he sounded restless before she answered, as though he had been pacing with the phone in his hand and had finally convinced himself that calling her was reasonable. Other times he sounded exhausted, his voice quieter than usual, and she would listen while he talked about his day without ever quite admitting that what he had actually wanted was someone familiar on the other end of the line. There were pauses that lasted too long, times when neither of them spoke and neither seemed particularly eager to end the call. (Name) began noticing those silences. She also began noticing that Michael had stopped finding reasons to apologize for them.
She was careful not to encourage it. She had learned too much about emotional dependence to mistake it for intimacy. There was a dangerous difference between someone wanting you and someone needing you because they had not learned how to stand alone. Michael was freshly divorced, overwhelmed by the press, increasingly isolated, and still trying to figure out what his life looked like without the structure he had built around his marriage. She understood why he reached for something familiar. She simply refused to pretend that familiarity automatically made it healthy.
Still, there were times when she found herself softening despite herself. She knew the sound of his voice when he was genuinely happy. She knew when he was forcing himself to sound fine. She knew when he was tired before he ever admitted it. Years of loving him had left her with instincts she could not simply erase because the marriage was over. The difference now was that she no longer allowed those instincts to dictate her life. She could care about him without making his emotional state her responsibility, and that distinction became increasingly important as Michael began relying on her in ways he had not during their marriage.
Aladdinâs visits to Neverland became another source of contact between them. Michael adored having his son there, and Neverland offered Aladdin an entire world designed around the kind of childhood Michael wanted him to experience. There were rides, animals, enormous gardens, movie nights, games, and enough distractions to keep a child occupied from morning until bedtime. Michael sent (Name) updates constantly at first, almost as though he needed to reassure her that everything was going well. Photographs would arrive of Aladdin riding a carousel, feeding an animal, or asleep beneath an absurd pile of blankets after exhausting himself running around the property. Sometimes Michael called simply because Aladdin had done something funny and he wanted her to hear the story rather than waiting until she picked him up.
Those calls were easier for her to accept.
There was something comforting about hearing Aladdin laughing in the background while Michael talked. Their son remained the one uncomplicated piece of their connection, the one reason they could still occupy the same emotional space without either of them having to explain why. When (Name) visited Neverland to pick him up, she could see how happy Aladdin was there, and that mattered more than her discomfort with the memories the place carried. Michael would walk them toward the entrance, sometimes carrying Aladdin when he was sleepy, and they would exchange a few words before she left. Nothing dramatic happened. Nothing needed to.
But increasingly, Michael seemed reluctant to let those moments end.
He would linger beside her after Aladdin had already climbed into the car. He would find another question to ask, something unnecessary about school or a schedule they had already discussed. Sometimes he would simply stand there, hands tucked into his pockets, looking as though he had forgotten what he had intended to say. (Name) began recognizing that look, too. It was the same hesitation she heard over the phone when he called with no real reason at all.
The irony was that Michael had once spent years insisting that he needed space from her, that her concern felt like pressure, that everyone around him was constantly asking something of him. Now, with the marriage to Lisa ending and the life he had built afterward collapsing around him, he was slowly finding his way back to the person who had once represented the very thing he had tried hardest to escape.
And (Name) noticed.
She simply didnât yet know what she intended to do about it.
â â â 㠀㠀â㠀㠀 March, 1996
â â â â°ă € Neverland Ranch - Main Residence. Los Olivos, California.
The toys had taken over the living room.
Plastic dinosaurs stood shoulder to shoulder with race cars, brightly colored action figures, and a sprawling train track that had long since abandoned any resemblance to the instructions that came in the box. The afternoon sunlight filtered lazily through the floor-to-ceiling windows, catching on polished hardwood floors littered with tiny pieces that Michael had nearly stepped on twice already. He didn't mind. The mess meant Aladdin was here, and there were very few things in the world Michael treasured more than the weekends he got to spend with his son.
At his age, Aladdin possessed the limitless imagination only children seemed capable of. Every toy had a voice, a backstory, and an important job. One minute they were astronauts rescuing dinosaurs from the moon. The next they were superheroes chasing a runaway train. Michael followed every impossible plot twist with complete commitment, crawling across the floor on his hands and knees, making exaggerated explosion sounds that sent Aladdin into another fit of laughter.
âYou gotta save him!â Aladdin squealed, pointing dramatically toward a tiny plastic firefighter lying beneath the coffee table.
âIâm trying!â Michael laughed, stretching his arm beneath it. âHeâs stuck! I canât reach him.â
âYou can do it, Daddy!â
The word never failed to soften him.
Daddy.
No screaming fans. No magazine covers. No sold-out stadiums.
Just Daddy.
Michael finally fished the toy out from beneath the table and held it triumphantly above his head.
âI got him!â Aladdin erupted into applause so enthusiastic it was impossible not to laugh with him.
Michael shook his head, smiling to himself as he gathered a few of the newer figures into his lap. They looked expensive. Better made than most of the toys he'd bought in recent months. He turned one over in his hands, studying the packaging that Aladdin had left nearby.
âThese are nice,â He murmured.
Aladdin barely looked up, completely engrossed in arranging another battle. âTheyâre my favorites!â
Michael smiled. âMommy got you new toys?â
âNuh.â His answer came so casually that Michael almost missed it.
âNo?â
Aladdin continued pushing a toy truck across the carpet. âMy other Daddy did!â
...
Everything seemed to stop. The train noises. The laughter.
Even the grandfather clock in the corner of the room seemed to disappear beneath the ringing that suddenly filled Michael's ears. His fingers tightened ever so slightly around the action figure still resting in his palm. He looked at his son, expecting him to laugh, to explain, to correct himself.
Instead, Aladdin simply kept playing.
Children had a remarkable way of saying things without realizing they had done anything at all. Michael forced his mouth into the same gentle smile he'd been wearing all afternoon, though he could already feel it becoming difficult to hold.
âOther Daddy?â He repeated carefully.
âUh-huh.â The little boy nodded as though it were the most ordinary thing in the world. âHe got me the train, too!â
Michael swallowed. The movement felt strangely difficult. â..Did he?â
Another nod. âHe said we could get whatever I wanted!â
Michael stared at the toy in his hands, he wasn't hearing the words anymore.
Only those two.
Other Daddy.
Questions crashed into one another so quickly he couldn't separate them. Had she introduced someone? Was this serious? Had Aladdin started calling another man Daddy because someone had asked him to? Or worse.. because it had happened naturally? How long had this been going on? Why hadn't she told him?
He hated himself for how quickly his thoughts spiraled.
He knew children misunderstood things.
He knew they invented names.
He knew they repeated phrases they'd overheard without understanding them. But knowing that did nothing to stop the ache spreading through his chest.
He set the toy down with careful hands. âSo..â he began, keeping his voice impossibly soft. âYou had fun?â
âThe best!â Aladdin beamed.
Michael smiled. âIâm glad.â He meant it.
God, he meant it.
His son deserved every happy memory imaginable.
That didnât make it hurt any less.
The rest of the afternoon unfolded exactly as it had before, at least on the surface. Michael laughed when Aladdin made ridiculous jokes. He let himself be tackled onto the rug during an imaginary dinosaur attack. He helped build an impossibly tall tower out of plastic blocks only to gasp theatrically when Aladdin knocked it over with a toy airplane. Anyone watching through the windows would have seen a father completely absorbed in his little boy.
Only Michael knew how hard he was working to keep his thoughts from showing on his face.
When Aladdin eventually wandered into the kitchen after announcing he was âstarving forever,â Michael remained kneeling on the living room floor.
The silence settled over the house with startling speed.
He stared blankly at the scattered toys for several long moments before slowly rising to his feet. His legs felt heavier than they should have. The cordless phone rested on its charging cradle beside the piano. He crossed the room without thinking, lifted the receiver and dialed a number he still knew by heart despite every reason he had to forget it.
One ring.
Two.
Three.
Four.
The line clicked.
âHello?â Her voice.
Familiar enough that, for a fleeting second it felt like nothing had changed. Michael closed his eyes because there was going to be no greeting. No polite conversation. No attempt to pretend he'd called for any other reason.
When he finally spoke, his voice was quiet enough that it nearly disappeared into the receiver. â..Whoâs âOther Daddyâ?â
There was a pause on the other end of the line.
Not the kind that came from a bad connection or someone searching for the right words. Michael could hear the faintest movement on her end, something shifting in the background, and then nothing at all. He opened his eyes and stared at the piano across the room, his free hand curling against his hip.
âMichael..â
âWho is he?â
His voice remained quiet, too quiet.
She exhaled slowly. âWhat are you talking about?â
âYou know what I'm talking about.â His jaw tightened. âAladdin just told me.â
Another pause.
Michael looked toward the hallway where his son had disappeared into the kitchen. He could hear cabinet doors opening and closing, followed by the unmistakable sound of a child rummaging through things he had been told not to touch.
âHe said somebody got him those toys,â Michael continued. âHe said his other Daddy got them for him.â
The word sounded worse coming from his own mouth.
He hadn't planned to repeat it. He certainly hadn't planned to give it that much weight. But hearing himself say it made something inside his chest constrict all over again.
âMichael, listen to me.â
âNo, I'm listening.â His voice sharpened despite himself. âI'm asking you a question. Who is âOther Daddyâ?â
âHe doesnât have another father.â
Michael laughed once, but there was no humor in it.
âThen why is he calling somebody else Daddy?â
âWhat on Earth are you talking about?â
The irritation in her voice finally reached him, and some small, rational part of him recognized that he was being unfair. He knew that. He knew he was calling her without any context, demanding explanations before she'd even had a chance to understand what exactly Aladdin had said.
It didnât matter.
He had spent years accepting the pieces of fatherhood he was allowed to have. He had accepted the schedules, the distance, the missed mornings, the birthdays he couldn't always attend, the holidays that had to be arranged around his work. He had accepted that there were entire ordinary portions of his son's life happening without him because that was the reality of being Michael Jackson and having a child who needed something resembling a normal childhood.
But there were certain things he had convinced himself belonged to him.
Daddy was one of them.
âIs there somebody youâre seeing?â he asked.
Silence.
Michael's stomach dropped. âAre you?â
âMichael, thatâs not what this is about.â
âThat sounds like a yes.â
âItâs not a yes.â
âThen tell me no.â
She went quiet again.
Michael turned away from the piano. âTell me thereâs nobody.â
âWhy are you doing this?â She asked.
âBecause my son told me another man is calling himself his daddy!â
âHe said that?â She sounds shocked. âTo your face?â
âHe said other Daddy.â
âMichael, heâs a little boy.â A sigh.
âI know how old he is.â
âThen you should know better than to take everything he says literally.â That stopped him and Michaelâs mouth parted slightly because he knew she was right. That was the worst part.
He knew exactly how children spoke. Aladdin could call a stuffed bear his brother one afternoon and insist the following morning that the same bear was actually his mailman. He could create entire relationships between toys and then forget them by dinner.
Michael rubbed his forehead. âThen what does it mean?â
âIt means thereâs a man in his life who he likes.â
His eyes closed again. âSomebody you brought into his life.â
âYes.â The answer was simple.
Michaelâs shoulders stiffened. âDoes he live with you?â
âNo.â
âDoes he spend the night?â
âMichael.â
âIâm asking.â
âNo.â
âDoes Aladdin see him often?â
A pause. âSometimes.â
Michael stared toward the kitchen. Sometimes. He hated that word. It was vague enough to conceal practically anything.
âHow long?â
âWhat?â
âHow long has he been around?â
âI donât know what youâre trying to accomplish.â
âIâm trying to understand.â
âNo, youâre trying to figure out how serious this is.â
Michael went still. Because that was exactly what he was doing. He leaned his hip against the edge of the piano, staring down at the carpet.
âIs it serious?â
She didn't answer and Michael swallowed. âIs he your boyfriend?â
âDonât do this, please. My therapist said this isnât good for mââ
Michaelâs face hardened as he cut her off. âI have a right to know whoâs around my son.â
âIâm not saying you donât!â
âThen why does this feel like Iâs the last person to know?â
âYou arenât! Youâd have a fit if you were.â
âOh, really? Because I didnât know there was some man buying my kid toys and letting him call him Daddy.â
âHe didnât teach him that! Neither did I!â
Michael stopped. âWhat?â
âYou heard me.â
The anger that had been building inside him faltered slightly. âWhat does that mean then?â
âIt means Aladdin started saying it on his own.â
Michael didnât speak and the room suddenly felt too large. âHe started it on his own?â
âHe had to! Because I donât know anything about this.â
Michael stared at nothing.
The answer should have made him feel better but it didnât. If anything, it was worse. Because if someone had taught Aladdin to say it, Michael could have been angry at him. He could have blamed somebody for crossing a boundary. He could have told himself that Aladdin didnât understand what he was saying.
But if Aladdin had simply started calling another man Daddy because that was what felt natural to him.. Michael couldnât decide which possibility hurt more.
âDoes he call him that all the time?â
âI donât know, Michael. I told you this is news to me..â
Michaelâs eyes lowered. âJesus.â
Another silence.
This time, she sounded tired. ââŠMatthew is somebody Iâve been seeing..â
Michaelâs fingers tightened around the phone. He turned his face toward the windows. Outside, the afternoon was still bright and peaceful. Cars moved down the street. Somewhere nearby, somebody was mowing a lawn. The world had apparently decided that nothing particularly devastating had happened, which Michael found mildly offensive.
âHow long?â
âMichael..â
âHow long have you been seeing him?â
âA few months.â
He nodded slowly, though she couldnât see him. A few months. That wasnât a fling. That wasnât somebody sheâd met last Tuesday and decided to bring around because she was bored. A few months meant Aladdin knew him.
It meant there had been dinners and afternoons and probably weekends Michael hadnât known anything about. It meant this man had been introduced into the private little world Michael had always felt protective over, and apparently heâd managed to become important enough that a little boy had given him one of the names Michael had spent his entire life believing belonged to him.
âDoes Aladdin like him?â She didnât answer and Michael gave a quiet, humorless laugh. âThatâs a yes.â
âOf course he likes him.â Something ugly twisted in his chest. âHeâs good with him.â
Michael's expression tightened. âIâm sure he is.â
Michael looked down at the toy firefighter heâd rescued earlier. It was lying on its back near the coffee table, one tiny plastic arm sticking awkwardly into the air. He crouched and picked it up. âDoes he love him?â
The question came out so softly that she almost didn't hear it. âWhat?â
âAladdin.â Michael swallowed. âDoes he love him?â
There was a long silence before she answered. âHe cares about him.â
Michaelâs face fell. He understood the distinction.
Children loved easily. They loved their teachers, their grandparents, their favorite television characters, dogs they met once at the park. But there were different kinds of love, and Michael knew exactly which one he was afraid of. âDoes he know heâs not his father?â
âYes.â
âHave you explained that?â
âMichael, he knows who his father is.â The reassurance should have helped. Instead, Michael heard the unspoken correction beneath it.
You are his father.
His eyes burned suddenly, and he blinked hard. âThen why did he say other Daddy?â
âBecause heâs little!â
Michael looked toward the kitchen again. His son was humming to himself now, completely unaware. and completely happy.
âMichael, You need to calm down.â
âI am calm.â
He rubbed his thumb against the edge of the plastic firefighter. âI just donât understand.â
âWhat donât you understand?â She asked, doing something on the other line.
âHow another man got close enough to my son that my son gave him my name.â
There. That was the real thing. Not the toys or the boyfriend. Not even the possibility that she had moved on.
That.
His voice had changed when he said it. The anger had drained out of it, leaving something much more vulnerable underneath. She didn't answer and Michael stared at the little plastic figure in his hand.
âI know I'm not there all the time,â he said quietly. âI know that. I know I miss things. I know sometimes Aladdin needs somebody and I'm somewhere else because I'm working or traveling or doing something I can't get out of. I know that.â
âMichael..â
âBut thatâs my name.â His voice cracked slightly. âThatâs the one thing I donât want somebody else taking.â
She was quiet as Michael inhaled slowly through his nose and looked toward the ceiling, willing himself back into composure.
âI donât care if he has somebody else around him,â He said. âI donât. If youâre happy, then.. fine. If Aladdin likes him, fine. I want him to have good people around him. I do.â The words were sincere, which made what came next harder. âBut donât let another man become his father.â
Michael looked down, his grip loosening around the toy. Then Aladdinâs voice rang out from the kitchen.
âDaddy!â Michael's head lifted. âDaddy, can I have cookies?â
Michael closed his eyes, his expression softened despite everything. âHold on, baby!â He called back.
Then he brought the receiver closer to his mouth. âI have to go.â
âMichael.â
âWhat?â
âHeâs not replacing you.â
Michaelâs eyes opened and didnât answer.
âHe isnât,â she repeated. âYou need to stop thinking that.â
His gaze moved toward the kitchen. Aladdin appeared in the doorway a minute later, holding an open package of cookies in both hands and looking deeply pleased with himself.
Michael stared at him; bare feet and a head of messy hair. Crumbs already on his shirt despite not technically having permission to open the package.
His son.
Michaelâs expression softened completely.
âIâll talk to you later,â he murmured and hung up before she could answer.
Aladdin tilted his head. âDaddy?â
Michael looked at him. âYeah, baby?â
âCan I have two?â
Michael glanced at the cookies, then at his son. âTwo?â
Aladdin nodded solemnly. âThree.â
Michael laughed despite himself. âThree?â He stared at him and there was a beat of silence before he laughed. He couldnât help it. A real laugh, too, the kind that bent him slightly at the waist and made the heaviness in his chest loosen for the first time since Aladdin had said those two words.
âCome here,â Michael said, opening his arms.
Aladdin ran toward him and Michael caught him around the middle and lifted him off the floor, earning an indignant squeal before Aladdinâs arms wound around his neck.
âDaddy!â Michael closed his eyes, his cheek pressed against his son's hair. He held him longer than necessary. Maybe he was being ridiculous. Maybe he was jealous.
Maybe he was scared of something that wasnât even happening.
But there was another man in his sonâs life now, and Michael would have to learn how to live with that. Aladdin deserved more people who loved him, not fewer.
Michael knew that.
He really did.
Still, as Aladdin curled against him, Michaelâs arms tightened slightly. Because whatever else changed, whatever new people came into their lives, whatever names Aladdin eventually invented for the people he loved, Michael wanted his son to always know one thing.
There was only one Daddy.
And Michael wasnât ready to share that name.
â â â â°ă € (Name)âs POV.
The conversation happens a few days later, after Michaelâs initial reaction has cooled enough that the issue can actually be explained to a little boy who thought Santa and the Easter bunny existed. (Name) isnât trying to make Aladdin feel guilty for liking her friend. Sheâs trying to explain the difference between someone being important to him and someone being his father, while also making it clear that Michael is sensitive about the name.
The afternoon had been unusually quiet.
Aladdin was sitting cross-legged on the living room rug with a coloring book spread open in front of him, his tongue poking slightly from the corner of his mouth as he concentrated on staying inside the lines. (Name) sat nearby on the sofa, sorting through a small pile of laundry that had accumulated during the week, occasionally glancing down whenever Aladdin asked her to admire something he'd colored.
It had been a few days since Michaelâs phone call.
She hadnât forgotten it.
She also hadnât forgotten the way his voice had changed when he'd talked about Aladdin calling somebody else Daddy. Michael could be possessive in ways he didnât always recognize, particularly where his son was concerned. It wasnât necessarily about distrusting her or even disliking the man she had been seeing. It was something much more basic than that.
Michael wanted to feel irreplaceable.
And, unfortunately for everyone involved, kids had no concept of emotional landmines.
She folded another little shirt and set it aside. âAladdin?â
âMhm?â He didn't look up.
She watched him color a dinosaurâs tail purple. âDo you remember what you called Mommyâ friend the other day?â
His crayon stopped and Aladdin looked up slowly. âWhich friend?â
She gave him a look.
He immediately knew. âThe other Daddy?â
Her eyebrows rose slightly. âYeah.. that one.â
Aladdinâs attention returned to the dinosaur. She set the piece of clothing in her lap and leaned forward, resting her forearms against her knees.
âI wanted to talk to you about that.â
âOkay.â He didnât sound worried. He sounded mildly interested, which was very much a childâs response to a conversation that his mother had clearly decided was important.
(Name) tried not to smile. âYou know you only have one Daddy, right?â
Aladdin nodded. âUh huh.. my Daddy's name is Michael.â
âRight.â She reached down and gently smoothed his hair away from his forehead. âDaddy Michael is your daddy. Nobody else is your daddy, okay?â
Aladdinâs brow furrowed. âWhy?â
âBecause thatâs just how it is.â She paused, trying to find a way to explain something complicated without turning it into a lecture. âYou can have lots of people who love you. You can have Mommyâs friends, Daddyâs friends, grandparents, aunties, uncles, people who take care of you and play with you. But that doesnât mean theyâre your mommy or daddy.â
Aladdin considered this while coloring another section of the dinosaur. âSo heâs Mommy's friend?â
âYes.â
âNot my friend?â
She smiled. âHe can be your friend too.â
Aladdin seemed satisfied with that. âOkay.â
âBut,â she added.
He looked up with a pout. The dreaded but. Children could hear a conjunction and suddenly know they were about to be subjected to legislation. She pointed gently at him.
âYou shouldnât call Mommy's friends Daddy.â
Aladdinâs face scrunched. âWhy?â
âBecause Daddy doesnât like it.â That got his attention.
His crayon lowered. âWhy?â
She hesitated.
Because Daddy is jealous.
Because Daddy spent half a phone call trying to pretend he wasnât jealous.
Because your father has a complicated relationship with sharing anything that makes him feel like he can be replaced.
None of those were particularly useful explanations for a child.
âBecause Daddy is your daddy,â she said instead. âAnd sometimes when you call somebody else Daddy, it makes him feel upset.â
Aladdin looked genuinely puzzled. âBut I donât mean Daddy Michael.â
âI know.â She reached over and gently tapped his knee. âI know you don't mean him. And I know you probably donât understand why it bothers him. But you need to remember that Daddy is Daddy Michaelâs special name with you. So donât give it to Mommyâs friends, okay?â
Aladdin stared down at his coloring book his little eyebrows knitted together. âBut..â
She knew she was about to regret beginning this conversation. âBut what?â
Aladdin put the purple crayon down and turned around to face her properly.
âMommy kisses him.â
(Name) went still. Gagged.
âWhat?â
Aladdinâs expression was perfectly innocent. âMommy kisses Maffew like she does Daddy.â
There was a silence and she stared at him and.. Aladdin stared back.
She slowly lowered the shirt in her hands. âAladdin.â
âWhat, mommy?â
âWhy are you paying attention to who Mommy is kissing?â
His shoulders lifted. âI dunno..â
She watched her son, trying to decide whether to laugh, panic, or immediately revise her entire understanding of how observant children were.
Apparently, they saw everything. Everything.
And then they stored it away until the most inconvenient possible moment, because apparently childhood came with its own little intelligence agency.
(Name) cleared her throat. âOkay. Well, Mommy kissing somebody doesnât make him your daddy.â
Aladdinâs forehead wrinkled. âBut you kiss Daddy.â
âYes.â Used to, but yes.
âAnd you kissed him.â
âYes.â
âSo.. heâs Daddy too?â
âNo.â She closed her eyes briefly and could already feel the headache forming. âAladdin, people can kiss each other without being married or being somebody's mommy or daddy.â
He considered that. âWhy?â
âBecause adults are complicated.â He waited and stared at him. âThat is the explanation.â
Aladdin didnât look convinced.
She sighed and shifted closer, pulling him gently between her knees so she could face him. âListen to me. Mommy likes him. Heâs Mommyâs friend, and maybe Mommy likes him in a special way. But that doesnât make him your daddy. And it doesnât mean you have to call him Daddy just because Mommy kisses him.â
Aladdinâs little face remained serious as she brushed her thumb over his cheek.
âDaddy wants you to know that heâs your daddy. He doesnât want you to think somebody else is taking his place.â
Aladdin looked toward the floor.
âOkay?â She repeated, gentler this time. âSometimes grown ups get feelings that are bigger than what they need to be.â
Aladdin thought about this then he asked, âLike when Daddy gets mad when Mommy talks to Uncle Jackie?â
Her eyes widened and Aladdinâs face remained completely serious, she inhaled slowly. âThatâweâre not going to talk about that right now.â
âWhy?â
âBecause Mommy said so.â
Aladdin frowned and she reached for his face and gently squeezed his cheeks together. âStay out of grown up business.â
âMommy!â
âYou're a very nosy little boy.â She boops his nose.
âIâm not!â
âYou are the nosiest little boy I've ever met.â Aladdin squirmed in her arms, laughing. And before long, he's back to coloring and she's folding clothes.
â..Mommy?â
(Name) closed her eyes. âWhat, baby?â
âDoes Daddy know you kiss him?â
Her head dropped back against the sofa. âAladdin. Color your dinosaur.â

For a while, (Name) decided the only way to keep the boundaries from becoming blurred was to make them painfully simple. If Michael called about Aladdin, she answered. If he wanted to know about school, she told him. If there was a change in the schedule, a doctor's appointment, a birthday invitation, or anything else that directly concerned their son, she was cooperative without hesitation. Everything else was different. If he asked how she was doing, she gave him a polite answer and redirected the conversation. If he mentioned something about his divorce, she told him she hoped everything worked out and changed the subject. If he called without an obvious reason, she found one for him.
âIs something wrong with Aladdin?â became her quiet way of forcing him to admit why he had actually called. More often than not, he would hesitate, realize she had caught him, and find some insignificant question to ask before ending the conversation. She wasnât cruel about itâwasnât punishing him. She simply refused to become his emotional landing place while he was still trying to figure out what his life looked like without Lisa.
Michael noticed the distance. He pretended he didn't. That was becoming one of his more reliable habits. He told himself that he respected her boundaries, that she was simply busy, that their relationship was naturally different now that they were divorced and both had their own lives. Yet he found himself checking the phone more often than he wanted to admit. There were times when he would reach for it automatically before remembering that he had no reason to call her. He missed the ease of their conversations. He missed hearing her laugh without having to earn it through a conversation about their son. He missed being able to tell her something insignificant simply because she was the first person who came to mind. None of those feelings were particularly convenient, so he gave them other names. Loneliness. Stress. Habit. Nostalgia. Anything except what they actually were.
They were forced into each otherâs orbit again when Aladdin had another school function that required both parents to attend. It was nothing particularly glamorous, just another afternoon surrounded by parents, teachers, and children, but the circumstances made it strangely intimate. They had to sit beside one another during the presentation, exchange quiet comments about Aladdinâs behavior, and coordinate afterward when he insisted on showing both of them the same drawing approximately fourteen times. Somewhere in the middle of it, something shifted. They stopped thinking about how carefully they were supposed to behave and simply fell back into the old rhythm that had once existed between them. (Name) made an observation about one of the teachers, Michael understood what she meant without requiring an explanation, and she laughed when he gave her that familiar look he had used for years whenever they silently agreed about something. For a few minutes, it felt effortless. Not like they were married again, but like the divorce had temporarily stopped being the most important thing in the room.
Michael seemed startled by how natural it felt. He looked at her while she was laughing, and something in his expression changed. He began to say something, then stopped. She noticed the hesitation and turned toward him, waiting. He looked as though he had reached the edge of a sentence he had been carrying around for weeks and suddenly realized that saying it aloud might change everything. His mouth opened slightly, then closed again.
âWhat?â She asked.
He shook his head and gave her a small smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. âNothing.â
She didn't believe him, but she didnât press. Whatever he had almost said, he had decided he wasnât ready to deal with the consequences of saying it.
What concerned her more was how unstable he seemed becoming. There were days when Michael appeared perfectly composed, charming and professional as ever, and others when his mood seemed to change without warning. He was exhausted more often. Distracted. Increasingly sensitive to criticism. There was a restlessness underneath him that (Name) recognized because she had seen it before, long before their marriage had ended. She knew the difference between someone being upset and someone quietly beginning to come apart. She didn't know whether she had the right to intervene anymore, and that uncertainty frightened her almost as much as his behavior did. She could see the warning signs without being willing to step back into the role of caretaker, and for the first time she understood just how cruel that position could be. Caring about someone did not automatically mean she had to save them.
Meanwhile, Michaelâs divorce from Lisa became increasingly ugly in the public eye. What had begun as quiet speculation became a steady stream of reports about disagreements, lawyers, competing narratives, and the reasons behind their separation. Every new article seemed to resurrect the same old question: was (Name) involved? Commentators began revisiting Michaelâs previous marriage as though it were evidence in the current one, dragging photographs and old interviews back into circulation and treating every interaction between the former couple as proof that something had been happening behind the scenes. Michael continued refusing to discuss (Name), but his silence only seemed to make the speculation more persistent.
Then Lisa gave an interview.
She never directly accused (Name) of anything. But. There were enough carefully worded comments about Michaelâs unresolved past, the difficulty of being married to someone whose previous relationship remained emotionally complicated, and the presence of âanother womanâ in the background of their lives for the press to do the rest. Within hours, the interview was being summarized in headlines that made the implication far less subtle than Lisa's actual words had been. (Name)âs name was once again everywhere.
She was livid.
She had spent so long refusing to participate in their drama, separating herself from Michaelâs marriage and repeatedly making it clear that whatever happened between him and Lisa belonged to them. Yet somehow she was still being dragged into it. She hadnât married Lisa. She hadnât filed for divorce from Lisa. She hadnât given interviews about their relationship. She wasnât responsible for whatever had happened between them, and she was becoming increasingly resentful that everyone seemed determined to make her responsible anyway.
The worst part was that she knew Michaelâs silence would probably continue.
He would avoid the cameras. He would refuse to answer. He would say nothing about her, believing that he was protecting her, while the press continued filling the silence with whatever version of the story sold the most magazines. And she was beginning to understand that there was no clean way out of it. The more Michael tried to keep her separate from his divorce, the more obvious it became that she was still occupying some kind of emotional space in his life.
That realization unsettled her far more than the headlines did. She could handle being misunderstood by strangers. She could handle gossip. What she wasn't sure she could handle was the growing suspicion that Michael's inability to let her remain entirely in the past was no longer something she could dismiss as nostalgia.
â â â 㠀㠀â㠀㠀 June, 1996.
â â â â°ă € Beverly Hills, California.
It happened outside a charity luncheon in Beverly Hills.
(Name) had barely stepped beyond the entrance when the familiar burst of camera shutters erupted around her. Security instinctively closed in, guiding her toward the waiting car parked at the curb, but she was used to this choreography by now. Smile. Keep walking. Answer what she wanted to answer. Ignore the rest. Most of the questions were harmless enough, asking about Aladdin, whether she had new music coming, or what projects she had planned for the summer. She answered a few with easy professionalism, never slowing her pace, until one voice rose above the others.
â(Name)! Is it getting serious with Matthew?â
She hesitated, but she nodded.
It lasted no more than a heartbeat, but it was enough for every photographer to notice. The questions multiplied, overlapping one another from every direction.
âIs he your boyfriend?â
âHave you introduced him to Aladdin?â
âIs this your happiest relationship since the divorce?â
Security gently urged her forward again, but she turned with a small, amused smile rather than the practiced expression celebrities usually wore. There wasn't any hesitation in her face now, only a quiet warmth that hadn't existed in public for a very long time.
âWhat do you like most about him?â
She laughed softly, almost to herself, as though the answer had arrived before sheâd had the chance to think about it.
âHe makes me laugh.â
The words came so naturally that they caught even her by surprise. She looked down, shaking her head with an embarrassed smile before glancing back toward the reporters.
âI donât know..â She admitted. âLife got really heavy for a while.â
Her smile softened. âHe makes it feel light again.â
Another reporter called after her. âDo you love him?â
She only laughed, ducked into the waiting car, and closed the door without answering, leaving the question hanging in the air as the vehicle pulled away.
By the following morning, the clip was everywhere. Entertainment programs replayed it on an endless loop, magazine columnists commented on how relaxed she looked, and television hosts remarked that it was the happiest theyâd seen her since before her divorce. The quote itself wasnât particularly remarkable. It wasnât dramatic or scandalous. If anything, its simplicity was what made people believe it. She hadn't spoken about wealth, romance, or grand gestures. She had simply smiled and said, He makes me laugh.
Michael saw the interview before noon.
He hadnât intended to watch it more than once. Instead, he replayed the clip until he could anticipate the exact minute her smile appeared. It wasnât the words that stayed with him. It was the expression on her face before she spoke them. There was an ease about her that he hadnât seen in years, the kind of unguarded happiness that couldnât be manufactured for cameras because it arrived before sheâd remembered she was being watched. He sat motionless, the remote forgotten in his hand, realizing with a dull ache that he couldn't remember the last time he'd made her smile like that.
Not the tired smiles sheâd worn near the end of their marriage when she was trying to reassure him everything would somehow be alright. Not the polite smiles theyâd exchanged after the divorce for Aladdinâs sake. A real one. Effortless. The kind that reached her eyes before she even seemed aware she was smiling. Once upon a time, that had been him. Somewhere between rehabilitation, lawyers, silence, Lisa, and all the small decisions that slowly became permanent ones, he had stopped being the person who made her life feel lighter.
Now somebody else did.
For reasons he couldnât fully explain, that realization hurt far more than learning she was dating at all. It wasnât simply jealousy. It was grief. Because laughter wasnât something people gave to strangers. It belonged to the people they felt safest around. Watching the interview, Michael understood something he had spent months refusing to acknowledge.
He was no longer the safest place in her world.
Michael told himself it was because the press refused to let it die, replaying the same twenty second clip across entertainment programs and splashing the same smiling photograph across magazine covers for weeks afterward. Every time he walked past a television, someone seemed to be discussing Matthew. Every checkout line carried another headline speculating about whether the relationship had become serious. He tried not to look. Tried not to read them. Yet somehow, every article found its way into his hands anyway. He would skim a headline out of idle curiosity, only to realize several minutes later that he'd read the entire piece, searching between the lines for something he couldn't have explained if anyone had asked.
The fear arrived quietly.
It wasn't the dramatic sort that announced itself all at once. It crept in through ordinary thoughts, through moments that should have meant nothing. He would wonder what she was doing that evening and, for the first time, the answer no longer felt predictable. She might be having dinner with Matthew. She might be watching a movie with him after Aladdin had gone to bed. She might be introducing him to friends, laughing with him in ways Michael had once believed belonged only to them. The life she was building no longer paused when he wasn't there. It continued without him, and the more permanent Matthew became, the more Michael found himself confronting a truth he had spent months avoiding. She wasn't simply recovering from their marriage anymore.
She was moving beyond it.
The phone calls became more frequent after that.
They almost always came late at night, after he knew Aladdin would already be asleep. Sometimes he'd convince himself he had a reason to call. Heâd think of a question about school or wonder whether Aladdin had mentioned something during the week. Other nights, he dialed her number before heâd even settled on an excuse. She would answer after a few rings, her voice quieter than usual, softened by the late hour and he often said nothing at all. He simply listened, comforted by the fact that she had answered.
One night, after several weeks of the same strange routine, she finally broke the silence. âMichael?â
â..Yeah.â
âIs something wrong?â
âNo.â
Another pause settled between them. âIs this about Aladdin?â
â..No.â
She sighed softly. âThen why do you keep calling me?â
He closed his eyes. And trust, he had asked himself the same question countless times. âI..â He stopped, searching for an answer that refused to come. âI donât know.â
The confession lingered between them. âYou donât know? And you call me three or four nights a week?â And what she didn't want to say was Matthew was getting a little concerned.
âI'm sorry, really..â
âYou sit there without saying anything.â
âI know.â
âSo why are you calling?â
He rubbed a hand across his face, exhausted by the truth before he even spoke it. âI don't know.â There was no manipulation in his voice, only confusion.
He genuinely didnât understand what he was looking for each time he reached for the phone. He only knew that hearing her voice settled something inside him for a little while, and when the line went dead, the quiet in his house somehow felt even louder than before.
(Name) sat in silence, turning his words over in her mind. There had been a time when she would have stayed on the phone until sunrise if sheâd thought it might help him. She would have coaxed him into talking, patiently untangled every fear he couldnât name, and quietly carried pieces of him he no longer seemed able to hold himself. That instinct still flickered somewhere deep inside her, but it no longer dictated her choices.
âMichael,â She said gently, âYou canât keep calling me because youâre lonely.. you have to find someone else to talk to.â
Another long silence. â..Yeah.â
She wished he sounded like he believed it.
Outside of those calls, Michael was becoming increasingly isolated. Friends noticed that conversations with him rarely stayed on one subject for long anymore. Family dinners passed with him sitting quietly at the edge of the room, contributing only when someone spoke to him directly. He seemed distracted even when he smiled, forever somewhere else in his own thoughts. Some days he talked endlessly, unable to let a conversation end. Other days he barely spoke at all. His moods shifted without warning, his patience seemed thinner than it had ever been, and he carried around this restless energy of someone who couldn't find comfort anywhere, even in his own home.
Elizabeth noticed it before anyone said it aloud. She watched him drift through afternoons that should have been beautifully ordinary for a superstar as as himself, catching him staring absently out windows or falling silent in the middle of conversations. More than once she overheard him mention (Name) without realizing he had done it, bringing her into stories that had never been about her in the first place. It wasnât obsessive, at least she didn't think it was. It was subtler than that. She had become the reference point his mind kept returning to, as though every road eventually curved back in her direction.
The people who loved him began exchanging worried glances when he wasn't looking. None of them were concerned because they believed he still loved his former wife.
They were concerned because he no longer seemed to know how to exist without reaching for her, even after she had spent two years teaching herself how to live without him.
â â â 㠀㠀â㠀㠀 August 10, 1996.
â â â â°ă € Los Angeles, California.
The divorce was finalized quietly.
After months of negotiations, headlines and private conversations that had slowly drained whatever remained of the marriage, the paperwork was signed, filed, and completed with the same cold detachment that had defined much of the process. A marriage that had once existed in front of millions of people was reduced to signatures on documents and a date stamped onto a page.
August 20.
Michael had spent months believing that reaching the end would bring some kind of relief. He thought the uncertainty would disappear. He thought the constant tension, the arguments, the questions about whether the marriage could survive, would finally quiet once there was nothing left to fight over. He had imagined waking up afterward and feeling lighter, as though closing one door would somehow make the confusion behind it disappear.
Instead, he woke up feeling exactly the same. The silence in the house felt heavier than before.
He sat alone for a long time, staring at nothing in particular, waiting for some kind of emotional release that never came. There was no sudden clarity. No peace. No moment where everything finally made sense. He had spent months telling himself that the pain he felt was because of the marriage ending, because of the pressure surrounding it, because of everything that had gone wrong.
But with the marriage officially over, the truth became impossible to avoid.
Ending things with Lisa had not changed what he felt for (Name). It had not erased the years they had shared. It had not erased the memories or erased the way his mind still searched for her whenever something felt unbearable.
He had been unconsciously waiting for something to shift. He had convinced himself that once he was no longer tied to Lisa, once the complications were gone, he would finally understand what he wanted. Instead, all he felt was the same ache he had been carrying long before the divorce was finalized.
The problem had never been Lisa. The problem was that he had lost someone he had never truly allowed himself to grieve.
He had spent so much time trying to justify his choices, trying to convince himself that he had done what he needed to do, that he had avoided the simplest truth: he missed (Name). He missed the familiarity of her. The ease of her. The person who had known him before everything became complicated. The person who had been there before the world started telling him who he was.
But missing someone didnât mean they were waiting. That was the part he struggled with most. Because while Michael remained caught between regret and longing, (Name) had continued moving forward. She wasnât sitting at home hoping he would eventually figure things out. She wasnât watching the news for signs that he had changed his mind or preserving the space he had left behind.
She had built a life beyond him.
She had Aladdin.
She had her career.
She had friends, routines, and a sense of peace that had taken years to rebuild. She went to events without wondering whether Michael would be there. She made plans without considering how they would affect him. She laughed freely. She dated someone who made her happy. She existed in a world where Michael was no longer the center of every decision.
And that realization was devastating because it meant there was no grand gesture waiting for him where everything could simply return to the way it was.
There was no going back to before.
He had assumed, somewhere deep down, that because their connection had been so significant, it would remain untouched by time. That no matter how far apart they drifted, some invisible thread would always keep them tied together.
But threads could stretch. They could weaken and sometimes they could break. Michael had spent years believing that losing someone meant they left. Now he was realizing something much more painful.
Sometimes people stayed. Sometimes they loved you. Sometimes they gave you every opportunity to choose them.
And sometimes, after you failed to, they learned how to live without you.
â â â 㠀㠀â㠀㠀 September, 1996.
â â â â°ă € Los Angeles, California.
In the hills above Los Angeles, the afternoon settled lazily across the Tuscan estate she had spent nearly a year making her own.
The house no longer felt unfamiliar.
When she'd first walked through its heavy wooden doors, she'd struggled to imagine herself living there. Every room had echoed. Every hallway had reminded her of another house, another marriage, another life she'd mistaken for permanence. Now the stone floors carried the comfortable sounds of everyday living. Children's toys sat abandoned beneath an antique console table. Fresh flowers rested in handmade ceramic pitchers on the kitchen island. Framed photographs had gradually filled shelves that had once stood empty. Music drifted softly from somewhere deeper inside the house, competing with the distant splash of the pool just beyond the open French doors.
She sat cross-legged on the living room rug in a pair of linen trousers and an oversized sweater, helping Aladdin fit the last few pieces into a dinosaur puzzle spread across the Persian carpet. Sunlight poured through the tall windows, warming the room until it smelled faintly of jasmine drifting in from the garden outside. She laughed quietly when he proudly forced a piece into the wrong place, gently turning it in his small hands before helping him find where it actually belonged.
Her phone began to ring and she glanced toward the coffee table. An unfamiliar number and for a minute, she considered letting it go to voicemail.
Instead, she reached for it. âHello?â
No one answered then a man cleared his throat. â..Hi... is this (Name)?â
She frowned. â..Yes.â
âMy name is John. Iâm Michaelâs manager.â
Everything inside her went still.
The smile disappeared from her face so quickly it startled her. She rose instinctively to her feet, absently brushing invisible lint from her trousers as she stepped away from the puzzle.
âJust one second, sweetheart,â She told Aladdin gently, forcing a reassuring smile that didnât quite reach her eyes before walking toward the open terrace doors. By the time she stepped outside beneath the warm California sun, her heart had already begun to race. â..Is he alright?â
The hesitation on the other end of the line answered the question before the man ever spoke. âHe.. had a difficult morning.â
"What happened?"
âWeâre on a commercial shoot.â His voice carried the unmistakable discomfort of someone making a phone call he knew he shouldn't have to make. âHeâs locked himself in his dressing room.â
Her grip tightened around the phone. âAnd..?â
Another pause. âHe wonât come out.â
She stared across the rolling hills beyond her property, watching the breeze stir the cypress trees lining the driveway. âWhat does that have to do with me?â
The production manager exhaled quietly. â..Heâs asking for you.â
Silence. âHe keeps saying he won't come out until youâre here.â
She closed her eyes.
Behind her, through the open French doors, she could hear Aladdin humming softly to himself as he continued working on the puzzle, completely unaware that the life she'd fought so hard to leave behind had just called her from the other side of the hills.
When she finally spoke, her voice was calm.
âIâm not the person to call.â
âNo.â The honesty landed heavier than any apology could have.
She rested one hand against the warm stone balustrade overlooking the gardens, breathing slowly as she looked out over the home sheâd built from the wreckage of another life. It occurred to her then that this was the first time Michael had reached for her since sheâd finally stopped letting him have access to her.
John spoke again apologetically.
â..Would you be willing to talk to him?â
She didnât answer.. because despite everything.. some voices remained instinctive, even after they no longer belonged to your life.
Finally, she closed her eyes. â..Text me the address.â
John was quiet for a beat before answering, his voice barely above a whisper. âThank you.â
The call ended, leaving her standing alone on the terrace with the phone still loose in her hand. The late afternoon breeze drifted through the gardens, carrying the familiar scent of lavender and citrus blossoms as it rustled the hedges lining the property. For the first time since the divorce, she turned her back on the life sheâd built and walked willingly toward the one sheâd sworn she would never return to.
The drive across Los Angeles stirred memories. Studio lots hidden behind towering security gates. Anonymous beige buildings that concealed million dollar productions behind unremarkable walls. Endless soundstages and parking lots that had once felt as familiar as her own driveway. She had known this world intimately once. Now it felt like someplace sheâd visited in another lifetime, familiar enough to recognize but distant enough to no longer belong. Aladdin sat quietly in the backseat, absentmindedly swinging his feet against the leather seat. He only asked once where they were going.
âTo see Daddy?â
She caught his eyes in the rearview mirror. âJustâits quiet time, baby. Okay?â
By the time she reached the studio gates, someone was already waiting. The production manager hurried toward her before sheâd even shut off the engine, relief written so plainly across his face that it was painful to look at.
âThank you for coming.â
She stepped out, smoothing a wrinkle from the front of her blouse that hadnât been there to begin with before opening the rear door for Aladdin.
âStay right beside me, sweetheart.â He nodded without complaint, slipping his small hand into hers as naturally as breathing.
Only then did she turn back toward John. âWhere is he?â
He pointed toward one of the nearby soundstages. âIn his dressing room.â
â..Is he safe?â
A nod. âHe hasnât come out.â
âOkay..â
âHe hasnât said much since I spoke to you.â John hesitated, glancing briefly toward the building. âJust.. he keeps asking if youâre here.â
Something in her chest tightened.
Her gaze drifted toward the open soundstage doors where crew members lingered in clusters. Their conversations stopped the instant they noticed her approaching. Heads turned, eyes followed and no one spoke. They simply looked.. relieved. As though her arrival meant someone else had finally taken responsibility for a problem none of them knew how to solve. She hated that feeling. It reminded her far too much of the life sheâd left behind.
John led them quietly through winding production corridors lined with costume racks, tangled coils of cable, makeup stations, and crew members who instinctively stepped aside without being asked. The usual organized chaos of a working set had vanished, replaced by an uneasy stillness that seemed to stretch through every hallway. Even Aladdin appeared to sense it, his small hand tightening around hers as curious eyes wandered over the unfamiliar surroundings.
At last, John stopped outside a plain white dressing room door. Two security guards stood several feet away, their presence creating an odd bubble of privacy in the otherwise busy hallway.
âHeâs in there,â John said quietly.
She stared at the door. It looked painfully ordinary, yet everyone on the set had apparently spent the better part of an hour staring at it. â..Has anyone spoken to him?â
âHe answers occasionally.â
âAnd he still wonât come out?â
John gave a quiet shake of his head. âNo.â
Silence settled over the hallway and she crouched slightly, brushing a gentle hand through Aladdinâs hair. âSweetheart, would you stay here with Mr. Branca for just a minute?â
He looked from her to the closed door before nodding. â..Okay.â
She smiled faintly, squeezed his shoulder and let his hand slip from hers before walking the remaining few steps alone. Every footfall echoed softly against the polished floor until she found herself standing directly before the door. She simply looked at it, struck by how something so mundane could suddenly feel so heavy.
Slowly, she raised her hand and her knuckles hovered for a heartbeat before tapping softly against the wood.
Once. Then twice.
The hallway fell completely silent.
She swallowed. â...Michael?â
Nothing.
After another moment, she tried again, lowering her voice until it was meant only for the man on the other side. â...Itâs me... itâs (Name).â
For a long while, nothing happened. The hallway remained perfectly still. No footsteps. No voices. Just the faint hum of the air conditioning and the quiet anticipation of everyone lingering several yards away, pretending not to listen. Then came the soft click of the lock turning. So quiet she convinced herself sheâd imagined it. The door eased open only a few inches, just enough for her to slip through after giving John one reassuring glance over her shoulder. The door clicked shut behind her, sealing her inside.
The dressing room was swallowed in darkness. Heavy blackout curtains covered every window, leaving only the thin strip of light beneath the bathroom door and the faint glow outlining the entrance sheâd just come through. It took several seconds for her eyes to adjust, but even then the room remained little more than shadows. Garment racks stood like looming silhouettes, the makeup mirror sat dark in the corner, and somewhere deeper inside she could hear him breathing. Slow. Uneven. Too loud against the silence. A knot tightened in her stomach.
â...Michael?â she called softly. âWhatâs going on? Why do you have the lights off?â No answer came. Assuming the darkness itself might be making whatever this was worse, she reached toward the wall beside the door, fingertips searching for the light switch. She found itâor almost did.
Before she could press it, another hand wrapped gently around her wrist warm but unsteady as her breath caught. She turned toward the touch. For the first time she could just barely make out his outline standing only inches away, nearly invisible against the darkness.
â..Donât.â His voice was scarcely more than a whisper. He released her wrist a moment later and she slowly lowered her hand.
â..Talk to me.â
Silence stretched between them before he finally spoke.
âThey think Iâm a monster.â The words barely carried across the room. She frowned.
â..Who?â
âEveryone.â His breathing faltered. âI heard them. They donât think I could tell.. but I heard them.â A hollow, humorless laugh escaped him. âI scare them because I don't look right..â His voice cracked on the last sentence, and another long silence settled over the room before he asked, so quietly it hardly sounded like him at all, â..Are you scared of me too?â
She could only look at him, struggling to reconcile the quiet voice in front of her with the frantic phone call that had brought her here. Even in the darkness she could make out the faint rise and fall of his shoulders, the uneven rhythm of his breathing, the way every inhale seemed to catch before it could become a full breath. Whatever had happened before sheâd arrived hadnâr stayed behind on the set. It had followed him into this room, wrapped itself around him, and settled into every inch of his posture. He looked exhausted, but not from work. He looked like someone who had spent the last hour fighting himself.
â..What on earth are you talking about?â
He didnât answer but instead, a quiet laugh escaped him, brittle enough to break apart before it had fully left his throat. âThe commercial.â
His voice came out rough and strained. âThey wanted..â He swallowed hard, the words sticking. âThey said the lighting wasnât matching. They kept talking about my face.â
She remained silent, letting him continue.
âThey brought out makeup.â His breathing hitched. âNot.. normal makeup.â
He lowered his gaze to his hands, flexing his fingers as though he could still feel the brush against his skin.
âThey wanted to darken my skin.â The words lingered heavily between them. âAnd..â Another pause stretched painfully long. âSomeone said my nose wasnât reading right on camera. They started talking about putty. About making it look.. fuller.â
His jaw clenched so tightly she heard his teeth click together. âThey kept saying, âIt'll look more natural.ââ His voice cracked on the final word. âNatural.â
He pressed the heels of his hands into his eyes until his knuckles turned white.
âIâve spent years having people tell me I donât look right. Too dark. Too light. Too thin. Too strange. Too much surgery. Not enough surgery.â He released a shaky breath that sounded as though it hurt to let go. âEvery time I walk into a room somebody has an opinion about my face.â
Silence settled over the room again, broken only by the faint hum of the ventilation above them. âWhen they brought out the putty..â He whispered, â..I just kept thinking.. I canât fix this anymore.â
His shoulders folded further inward, every inch of him collapsing into himself. âI don't even know what they want me to look like.â
Another long pause passed before he spoke again.
âSo I came in here.â Almost unconsciously, his hand drifted toward the uneven ends of his hair. âI found a pair of scissors.â And his voice became so small. âI just.. started cutting.â
The confession lingered in the darkness between them. She didn't answer, there were no words capable of undoing what had happened before sheâd walked through that door. Nothing she could say would erase the comments, the makeup brushes, the putty sitting on a countertop somewhere outside this room. All she could do was stand beside him.
â..Is that why you wonât let anyone turn the lights on?â
He nodded once. âI didnât want them to see.â His hands tightened into fists. âThey were already looking at me like I was crazy.â He swallowed. âI couldnât let them see what Iâd done.â
Neither of them moved. The darkness no longer felt suffocating. It felt protective, wrapping itself around him like a blanket, concealing him from the eyes that had spent the day dissecting every feature of his face. She knew him well enough to understand this wasn't about hiding from everyone else. It was about hiding from the version of himself he imagined reflected in their expressions.
She stepped a little closer, careful not to crowd him. â..Can I please turn on the lights, Michael?â
He didnât respond, his head remained bowed and breathing uneven as though agreeing to something so simple required him to confront every fear that had driven him into this room.
âI wonât laugh,â she said gently. âIâm not here to judge you.â
Another long silence passed, then too faint to notice, he nodded. â..Okay.â
She waited one more heartbeat to make sure he wasnât retreating again before slowly reaching behind her. This time, nothing stopped her. The switch clicked beneath her fingertips, and warm light gradually filled the dressing room. It softened the shadows instead of chasing them away, revealing the room piece by piece until her eyes finally settled on him.
The breath caught painfully in her throat.
His pretty curls were gone.
Not entirely, but enough that the familiar silhouette sheâd known for years had vanished. The carefully shaped layers heâd spent so long growing had been hacked away in uneven sections that zigzagged around his head without any pattern or purpose. Some pieces had been cut so close they barely covered his scalp, while others jutted outward where the scissors had slipped through trembling hands. Dark curls littered the bathroom floor around his shoes, clung stubbornly to his shirt, and gathered around the sink where a pair of silver scissors still rested exactly where heâd abandoned them.
But it wasnât the hair that broke her heart.
It was him.
He stood with his shoulders curved inward as though trying to make himself smaller, eyes fixed on the floor and hands hanging uselessly at his sides. Tiny cuts crossed several of his fingers where the blades had nicked him in his panic, thin red lines that hadnât even been cleaned. He didnât look like someone whoâs impulsively cut his hair. He looked like someone whoâd spent the last hour trying to carve himself into a picture the world would finally stop criticizing, only to discover there was nothing he could change.
She said nothing, rendered speechless because she could see the fear written plainly across his face. He wasnât waiting for her opinion of the haircut. He was waiting for confirmation that sheâd see him the way everyone else did.
One hand rose instinctively to cover her mouth as her expression softened. âOh, honey..â There was no shock in her voiceâno disgust but only heartbreak.
His eyes squeezed shut. âI know,â he whispered. âIt looks awful.â A humorless laugh escaped him before collapsing into silence. âI ruined it.â His chin trembled, and he couldnât bring himself to lift his eyes from the floor. âI ruined everything.â
She remained where she was taking in the sight of the dressing room. Hair lay scattered across the tile like dark ribbon. Makeup brushes had been knocked onto the counter. A garment bag had slipped halfway from its hook. The aftermath of someone who had simply run out of places to put his feelings and acted outward.
She exhaled quietly. â..Whereâs Elizabeth?â The question seemed so obvious that she asked it without thinking. He didnât answer.
Assuming she was missing something, she glanced around the room. His jacket was draped over the back of a chair. His wallet sat beside an untouched bottle of water. His phone wasnât visible.
âShe should probably be here.â She began walking slowly around the room, looking across the vanity, the small table beneath the television, the sofa. â..Whereâs your phone?â She spotted it resting on the far end of the makeup counter and reached toward it.
âIâll call her.â Before her fingers could close around it, his hand caught her wrist. Not roughly but enough to stop her.
â..Donât.â
She looked back at him, genuinely puzzled. âWhat?â
âI donât..â He swallowed. âI donât want her right now.â
The sentence landed with a strange and childish simplicity. There was no explanation attached to it. No attempt to soften it. It sounded less like the decision of a grown man and more like a frightened child insisting on one specific person after a nightmare.
She studied his face, her confusion written plainly across her own. âMichael..â
âI donât want her.â His grip loosened, as though heâd only just realized heâd stopped her at all.
âI want you.â The room fell quiet again.
She spoke carefully â..Where is she? Should I call Lisa? You told me you two were on okay terms after..â
He stared at the floor. âShe.. took a trip.â
âWith work?â
His jaw tightened. â..With her ex.â
(Name) blinked. âIâm sorry?â
He let out a slow, shaky breath. âShe went away with him.â The words sounded surreal coming from his mouth and it seemed like he still hadnât figured out how to make sense of them himself.
âI havenât..â He stopped, rubbing tiredly at his forehead. â..I havenât talked to her in almost a monthâshe told me she would always be there.. it doesnât feel like it.â
(Name) felt a tightening around her eyes with slightest hesitation in her breathing. The words had landed somewhere old. She knew what it felt like to wait for the phone that never rang. She knew what it was like to tell yourself there had to be an explanation, because the alternative was admitting the person you loved had simply stopped choosing you. She knew the peculiar loneliness of watching someone slowly hand pieces of themselves to another person while insisting nothing was wrong.
For the briefest moment, those memories stirred.
She remembered sitting alone in rooms that had felt far too large. Wondering whether he was alright. Wondering whether he was thinking about her. Wondering whether she should call again or whether one more unanswered message would finally become too humiliating to bear. She remembered all of it. But then just as quietly as it had come, the feeling passed.
She wasnât that woman anymore. Healing hadnât erased the memories. It had simply taught her that they no longer had the authority to decide who she became. She looked at him standing in front of her, shoulders folded inward, hair uneven where panic had guided the scissors, and instead of feeling vindicated, she felt something infinitely more complicated.
Compassion. And no, he hadnât earned it. She had. Because she had fought too hard to let bitterness become the only language she spoke.
She drew a slow breath. âIâm sorry,â she said softly. âI really am.â
The words werenât about Lisa. They werenât even about the haircut. They were about the unmistakable loneliness standing in front of her.
Michael finally looked up and his eyes were red from crying, his face exhausted in a way that reached far beyond simple fatigue. He took a step forward and dropped to his knees in front of her, face buried in her womb as he held her hips.
Then he finally spoke: â..Can you fix me?â He swallowed. â..Like you always do.â
The sentence hung between them with heartbreaking innocence.
The instinct of someone whose worst times had, for years, always ended the same way. She would sit on the floor beside him. She would talk until his breathing slowed. She would make tea he never finished. She would distract him, reassure him, stay awake with him until morning if that was what it took.
His mind had reached backward to the only pattern it remembered.
â..Please,â he whispered. âI donât know what to do.â
(Name) felt something tighten painfully in her chest because there had been a time when she wouldâve. Without hesitation. She wouldâve canceled meetings, ignored her own exhaustion, and stayed until the world felt safe again for him. That version of her had loved him with such complete abandon that she never stopped to ask who was doing the same for her.
She scooped up his face, her expression impossibly gentle as she caressed his cheek. âMichael...â She paused, choosing her words with extraordinary care. âI can sit with you.â Her voice remained soft. âI can make sure youâre not alone today.â
babe please write something about this youâre the OG thick michael expert and that video literally has me ********* so bad
( ˶°ă °) !! ââ1.4k, nsfw ) thick, husband!michael jackson x fem afab wife!reader <3
cws: WATCH THE LINKED VIDEO; it is sfw but oh my gawd... SMUT AHEAD!! car sex, semi-public(?) sex, michael being teasing, bra-pulling (but michael is not mean/aggressive abt it), implied multiple rounds (only one described srry), michael has a happy trail, reader has bush (not described in detail), bouncing on michael's thick thighs
âââââââit's nearly impossible to remain composed after seeing his thigh recoil onstage like that. those fitted, golden pants have already done you several favors tonight, highlighting the curve of michael's ass, the meat of his thighs, and, if you looked for more than five seconds, the outline of something just as big as the rest of him. you'd already managed to sneak a make-out session before the show, causing him to go onstage with flushed cheeks and adorably dorky grin, but damn. damn! the more you watch him dance, practically salivating as his thighs jiggle, his newfound weight showing itself off, the more you're convinced you'd be needing him after the show, too.
fortunately for you, after seeing you backstage, michael's thinking similar thoughts.
his adrenaline was already high, contributing to the feeling, but nothing's more arousing for him than seeing you already aroused. it's an almost sadistic pleasure, watching you desperately try to tamp it down while knowing you can't (never could, really) control yourself. you weren't embarrassed of your sexuality, not truly, but there's a certain vulnerability in admitting you need another person for anything, even sex. as stubborn as you are, you'd rather die most days than say the words "i need you". so, is it really sadistic of michael to watch you squirm, or is this something you're doing to yourself? either way, it makes the moments where you do break down, initiating intimacy with a blunt, needy beg or a very obvious touch, all the more satisfying.
the privacy partition's already rolled up, sealing you both off in the back of a blacked out suv. he's all sweaty post-performance, no longer panting but still taking those deep breathes that fill his lungs to the brim, making his chest rise and drawing attention to his body. michael knew from the moment he first ended the show and saw you backstage that you'd be all over him tonight; he's simply waiting for you to stop acting so poised. it's about two minutes into the car ride that his wish comes true, your eyes tracing from his chest down before your lips part to speak.
"that was a good show," you start carefully, licking your top lip briefly. "this part of the car is sound-proofed, right?"
he chuckles, shaking his head at you, his sweat-slicked black curls moving this way and that. "that's got to be the most romantic way you've ever asked for me." despite his sarcastic teasing, michael's large hands reach towards your waist, taking hold in order to slide you along the plush backseat until you're by his side.
"shut up, you got the message," you mutter, seizing the opportunity to crawl onto his lap. his legs spread for you, encouraging you to position yourself right against his hardening length. as you do so, you sigh in relief, feeling him through his and your pants. your gaze meets his as you rock a little, grinding, "you're so sexy in these pants, baby."
"yeah?" he breathes out, his hands sliding from your waist upwards to the hem of your top. carefully, he slides it off of you, humming in approval when he sees the bra you're wearing. "i like this on you," michael compliments, tracing a hand along the lace almost casually.
"you're just so... such a man now," you go on, breath hitching when you manage to drag yourself against him in a particularly pleasing way, "your big hands... your belly... that growing trail, down there..." biting your lip, you recall how his happy trail had looked the last time you saw it, curly black strands growing in as he grew too busy or too lazy to trim it down. "your butt, baby... even just your thighs, oh, god."
with an ease that shouldn't be attractive but is, he hooks two fingers under the middle of your bra, pulling you closer by gently tugging on the fabric. it stretches just enough for one of your nipples, already pebbling, to slip out. the straps of your bra dig into your back as michael asks gently in your ear, "you like bouncing and sliding along my thighs, sweet girl?"
"yes!" you don't even have to think about it, and if you had shame at one point, you definitely don't have it anymore. "yes, yes, yes." you're rutting like a dog without a damn in the world, humping as hard as you can in search of more friction. his cock twitches, tip leaking precum underneath the fabric of his pants as your ass jiggles and shakes with every rock of your hips against his thigh.
"you're like a rabbit," he mocks quietly, "so eager, all the time." michael pulls on your bra a little more, using it like a reign or leash to egg you on. his free hand palms your butt, gently massaging and gripping it while his eyes watch, fascinated by the sight. his hand is big enough to hold the curve of your ass well, and as he squeezes and feels the roundness, he grins. "i'm not complaining, though," he chimes a while after, letting go of your butt to lightly pinch along your freed nipple.
the entire backseat moves as you continue chasing your high, eyes closing as you start to whine and whimperâ "fuck, ohâ yes, baby, yesâ" you're doing a majority of the work, moving your hips, gripping his shoulders, pressing down hard, and yet you're still praising him like he's fucking you from behind! michael would laugh if he wasn't close to coming himself, his lips brushing the shell of your ear as he starts grunting and (finally) thrusting up into you.
"you look so pretty like this," he whispers, "so gorgeous, baby." yes, with your hair a mess, your forehead and neck covered in sweat, your eyes half-lidded, and your jaw nearly slack; you look like an animal in heat and michael's adoring every second of it. "c'mon pretty thing, take it, take what you need," he encourages you, tugging your bra once more to make sure you don't drift away in the moment.
your head comes to rest against his shoulder, eyes squeezing shut as you grind a few more times. when your orgasm does hit you, it's nothing short of heavenly, even as your legs buckle and spasm. cum and slick fill your underwear, undoubtedly sticking along your bush as you cry out in pleasure against michael's neck. white globs trail and drip down michael's pants, past his ankle and onto the floor of the car, his own breathing labored as he soaks in how much you're glowing. it's so unfairâ you look so good, he just wants to do it all again! whereas you oftentimes start the first round, michael tends to initiate the second. sometimes it's because he feels bad for teasing and wants something tender, and other times (like this time) it's because you look so good all dazed and fucked out, he can't help but want to keep you that way.
"pretty girl," he manages to coo after a few moments, taking off your bra and kissing along one of your nipples, "can you take your pants off for me? i want to see..." he cups you through your pants, letting his thumb trace your pussy lips for a moment. michael swears he can feel your wetness and cum through the fabric, a thought that only strengthens his desire for more. michael hums, reaching for your waistband, "are you too tired? want me to do it for you?"
slowly, you nod, "mmhm..."
his voice sounds saccharine as he reassures you, "aww, baby, i've got it."
...by the time the driver alerts you both over the speaker system of the car that you're nearly "home", only about five minutes away from the hotel your staying in, you're fully nude, scrambling as much as you can to put your clothes back on. everything's puffy, from your nipples to your lips to your poor clit, sensitive against the softness of your panties. meanwhile, michael's even sweatier than when he first came offstage, staring at you lovingly with his golden pants around his ankles. the smooth expanse of his right thigh is covered in lipstick and light teeth imprints, thoroughly marked up by you. his left thigh still tingles, as though your fingers were still gripping it. awkwardly, he grabs his pants and tugs them up, his eyes still focused on you even as he grunts, adjusting his clothing.
"i love you," michael purrs out afterwards, nudging your jaw with his nose. as he looks into your eyes, he grins wide, "we can finish in the hotel room, okay, baby?"
and you, too fucked out to focus on more than one thing at a time, just nod, slipping your shirt back on. "uh-huh..." you mumble, head bobbing, "yeah, baby... yeah..."
looking for more?
posting mildly later than usual but i hope this does well bc i do quite like this piece... i love all my thick michael pieces though LMAO i dont know if i focused on his thick juicy voluptuous thighs enough here but i was thinking so hard abt just feeling ur thighs against his, fucking urself against him and his thighs. like holy shit!!! sigh... come back thick michael we (i) need you.

đđđđđđđđđ the thunderous roar of eighty thousand fans still vibrated through the stadium beams. outside the room, roadies rolled heavy trunks across the floor. inside, you sat on the leather sofa staring at the monitor feed. watching michael perform tonight had been pure torture. the monitor caught every sharp movement: his dark curls, his jawline glistening, the silver buckles on his black pants clinking as he popped his hips. every high-pitched belt and possessive grip on his mic stand sent a sudden surge of heat straight between your thighs. by the time "man in the mirror" faded, you were squirming, skin burning with a desperate ache.
the heavy oak door swung open. michael stepped in, surrounded by a faint cloud of stage mist. he had discarded his leather jacket, wearing only a damp black v-neck and his buckle-adorned pants. he looked utterly exhausted, sweat dripping from his chin, curls plastered to his neck. but the moment his deep brown eyes landed on you, his entire face illuminated.
"baby..." he breathed out, his raspy, post-show voice thick and gravelly. he tossed his hand towel aside and opened his arms, hurrying over to sink into you. "oh man, i missed youâ"
before he could pull you in, you reached out. your hands hooked firmly into the silver buckles at his waistband, giving a sharp tug that yanked him straight down between your parted knees, chest flush against yours.
michael gasped softly, caught off guard, wide brown eyes searching yours.
"i need you," you whispered, your voice dropping low and sultry. "right here. right now, michael."
a dark, electric heat swept across his face. a low, raspy groan vibrated in his chest as he took in your flushed cheeks and hungry eyes. he didn't hesitate. turning to the vanity counter, michael swept his hand across the glass top, sending jars of stage makeup, wet wipes, and hairsprays clattering onto the floor in one swift motion.
in a flash, his large hands gripped your waist, effortlessly lifting you up and sitting you right onto the edge of the mirror counter.
"you're driving me crazy," michael rasped into your neck, his hot breath fanning against your pulse point as he stepped right in between your parted legs. his long fingers hooked into your underwear, pulling the fabric aside as he slid his hand down to brush against your core. he let out a sharp, breathy gasp as he felt just how completely drenched and warm you already were for him.
"look at you..." michael growled softly, his voice thick with raspy heat as he guided his thumb over your slick center. "you're so wet for me..."
"you were so sexy out there tonight, mike," you whimpered into his ear, hands tangling frantically into his damp curls, pulling his head down as you tilted your head back. "watching you move... watching those hips... you were so bad."
"yeah?" michael murmured, a wicked smirk touching his lips as he unbuckled the front of his pants. "show me how bad i was."
he didn't wait. positioning himself at your slick entrance, michael drove his hips forward in one long, heavy, unrelenting thrust that buried him completely inside you in a single stroke.
a loud, breathless scream tore from your throat as your hands dug frantically into his broad shoulders. the sensation was overwhelming, a sharp, explosive fullness that made your entire core pulse tightly around his length.
"fuck, baby..." michael choked out, head snapping back, jaw clenching tight. his hands clamped around your hips with a possessive grip, holding you pinned flat against the counter.
he set a fast, relentless, frantic pace. because the crew was right outside the door and time was running out, there was no slow buildupâjust raw, desperate, urgent friction.
every time his hips slammed forward, the heavy silver buckles on his leather pants clinked loudly against each otherâclink, clink, clinkâa metallic rhythm that mingled wildly with his heavy, ragged gasps and your breathless moans. the intoxicating scent of his stage sweat, expensive cologne, and warm skin filled your senses, driving you completely wild.
"you like it when i perform for you, huh?" michael rasped, voice gravelly and completely undone as he drove into you, hitting that exact, swollen spot deep inside you with every single punishing stroke. "you like seeing your man up there?"
"yes! oh god, michael, yes!" you sobbed out, legs wrapping tightly around his waist, pulling his body as deep into yours as physically possible. "don't stop... please, mike!"
"i'm not stopping," michael growled, his face burying into the side of your neck, his hot lips pressing feverish, open-mouthed kisses along your jawline as his thrusts turned faster, harder, and relentlessly precise. "you're taking all of it... every bit of it, mama."
the slick, heavy friction between your bodies built up a blinding heat. the sound of the roadies shouting outside in the hallway and the clinking of his belt buckles only heightened the forbidden, desperate rush of the moment.
"michaelâi'm close! i'm gonna come!" you whimpered, body shaking uncontrollably under his powerful rhythm.
"come for me, then," michael rasped in your ear, voice tight, desperate, and right on the edge of breaking. "let it go, baby... give it to me!"
with a loud, stifled scream into his shoulder, your body gave in completely. your internal walls clamped down around him in tight, uncontrollable, pulsing spasms of pure ecstasy.
feeling your core clench violently around his length shattered michael's self-control. he let out a deep, guttural growl, his grip on your hips tightening as he thrust hard and deep three more desperate times before burying himself as far inside you as he could go. his entire body locked up, a long, raspy gasp spilling from his lips as he poured everything into you, shuddering violently against your chest.
for two minutes, you both stayed locked together on the vanity, chests heaving, breathing frantic in the quiet room.
michael pulled back slowly, pressing a sweet, lingering kiss to your swollen lips, dark eyes glowing with satisfaction. "how was that for an encore?" he murmured with a boyish grin.
"unbelievable," you giggled breathlessly, smoothing down your clothes as he stepped back to adjust his pants and re-buckle his belt.
within five minutes, the makeup was quickly cleared from the floor, clothes were straightened, and your hair was brushed back into place. by the time a sharp knock came at the dressing room doorâa roadie calling out, "five minutes to the motorcade, mr. jackson!"âyou were both standing side by side, looking composed, elegant, and completely innocent.
michael turned to you, slipping on his dark sunglasses, offering you a quiet, handsome wink before sliding his warm hand into yours to walk out into the night.
girl, that's just my baby daddy đ âïž Ę ÛȘ à§
bad!michael x black reader. part one here !
synopsis: After a few weeks of your last encounter with your baby daddy michael, you kinda ghosted him, and he did not appreciate that. So he decides to let naomi stay with katherine for the week and insisted on taking you to italy.....your dream date, cute.
warning: baby this even more nastier than the first one, dad!michael, mentions of pregnancy, traveling, cocky!michael, edging, cursing, use of toys, multiple positions (a few described), this is kinda long got carried away, mdni please !!!!
The grand bedroom is drowned in pale blue early morning light. The heavy velvet curtains are drawn, but thin beams of sunlight slice through the room, landing across the massive king-sized bed.
Michael is fast asleep, sprawled out on his stomach with one arm thrown over your empty side of the bed, his dark curls messy across the pillow, face completely relaxed.
Youâre standing near the foot of the bed, fully dressed in yesterdayâs outfit, quietly putting your shirt on. Your hands are slightly trembling. You glance over at Michael, your heart aching with a familiar, terrifying mix of love and panic.
You stare at his sleeping face. Last night was magic soft words, gentle hands, and that lingering feeling that nobody could ever replace him. But as the sun comes up, reality hits you like ice water. Heâs Michael Jackson. He has the world at his feet. What if youâre just a habit he canât break? What if youâre the only one drowning in these feelings while heâs just enjoying the convenience?
Swallowing hard, you pull your shoulder bag over your arm, turn on your heel, and tip-toe out of the master suite, carefully clicking the heavy oak door shut.
You quietly make your way down the hall, heading towards your daughter's room, making sure you don't bump into anything or make any unnecessary noise
Naomi is sound asleep under her canopy bed, her thumb tucked lightly in her mouth, and her stuffed rabbit hugged to her chest.
You gently sit on the edge of her mattress and shake her shoulder lightly you whisper tenderly. "Nae... sweetie, wake up. Time to go home."
Naomi rubs her eyes, let out a tiny yawn, and blinks up at you in the dim room. Voice groggy" Is Daddy awake? Where's Daddy?" She asked
You started smoothing her hair down, keeping your voice steady. "Daddyâs sleeping, baby. He worked really hard yesterday, so weâre gonna let him rest. Come on, put your shoes on, okay?:
Naomi nods sleepily, swinging her little legs over the edge of the bed putting her small bedroom shoes she had that her dad gave her.
You waited for her, once she was done you grabbed her hand walking down the stairs making sure to be extra quiet not to wake michael or any of the cleaners up.
You made your way outside, closing the door silently behind you. The morning air is crisp and cool. The ranch is dead silent except for the faint chirping of birds and the distant rustle of leaves.
You hold Naomiâs small hand as you quickly walk down the front steps toward your car parked in the driveway. You open the back door, buckle Naomi into her car seat, and shut it gently.
Before getting into the driver's seat, you stop and glance back at the main house. You look up at the second-floor window where his bedroom is, biting the inside of your cheek as a lump forms in your throat. You sighe to yourself
"I can't keep doing this to myself, Michael..."
You get into the car, turn the key, and drive through the iron gates before he even wakes up.
Three weeks have passed. Youâve deliberately avoided his calls, ignored his messages, and completely ghosted him. Every time you think about him, your stomach twists in knots. Youâre in the kitchen folding laundry while four-year-old Naomi sits on the living room rug, coloring in a giant coloring book.
RIIING. RIIING.
The landline phone on the wall starts ringing. You glance at the caller ID.
CALLER ID: WESTLAKE STUDIOS / PRIVATE
Your heart jumps straight into your throat. You freeze, holding a bath towel against your chest. You take a slow breath, trying to harden your heart, and refuse to pick it up.
RIIING. RIIING.
You called out toward the living room. "Naomi! Sweetie, come pick up the phone! Itâs your daddy!"
Naomi instantly drops her red crayon, her little eyes lighting up as she scrambles off the floor and runs over to the wall phone, grabbing the receiver with both hands.
Naomi excitedly squealed into the phone. "Daddy!!"
Michael smiled over the phone, his voice instantly brightening. "Hey, my big girl! Hi princess! How are you doing today?"
"I'm coloring a big dinosaur! Mommy bought me new crayons with glitter!"
He softly started chuckling over the line. "Glitter crayons? Wow, you're living fancy, huh? Did you draw a picture for me?"
"Uh-huh! I drawed a elephant drinking water for you and bubbles!"
He laughing warmly. "I can't wait to see it. ...Hey, Nae? Is mommy right there with you? Can I talk to her real quick?"
You immediately shake your head frantically at Naomi from across the kitchen island, mouthing "NO" and making a swiping motion across your neck.
Naomi looked at you, completely innocent. "Mommy's right here! She folding towels."
You glare at your daughter, slapping a hand over your forehead in exasperation.
his tone instantly shifting dropping low, smooth, and laced with quiet frustration. "She is, huh? ...Nae, baby, hand the phone to mommy for a second, please?"
Naomi held the phone out to you. "Mommy, Daddy wants to talk to you."
You started whispering angrily. "Tell him I'm in the bathroom!"
Naomi looked at you utterly confused, then held the phone back to her ear. "Daddy, mommy said to tell you she's in the bathroom!"
You close your eyes, letting out a long, defeated sigh while Michael's smooth, unmistakable chuckle echoes through the speaker, loud enough for you to hear even from a foot away.
"Tell your mommy sheâs a terrible liar, baby. And tell her I know sheâs been dodging my calls for three weeks." He said leaning back into his chair.
You snatch the phone from Naomi's hand, placing your palm over the mouthpiece briefly as you look down at her. "Nae, go back to your coloring book, sweetie. Go on."
Naomi happily skips back to her crayons. You drag the phone to your ear, leaning your hip against the counter, your wall coming right back up to shield your breaking heart.
You rolled your eyes as if he could see them, your voice cold, slick. "You know it's really low to use your daughter to get at me michael, i dont appreciate that shit."
His voice low, velvety, and dripping with dangerous charm. "Well, since you've been acting like a ghost every time I ring your house, I gotta get creative, tinka. Why are you runnin' from me?"
You raised a brow. "I'm not running from anybody. I'm busy living my life and taking care of our child. Something you should try focusing on instead of blowing up my house phone."
He couldn't tell if he was hearing the words you said correctly, he scratched his head. "You got a real smart mouth for somebody who snuck out of my bed at six in the morning like a thief in the night."
Your breath hitches. Your grip on the plastic receiver tightens until your knuckles turn white. "That was a mistake, Michael. A lapse in judgment. I told you before, we aren't together. We're divorced."
his voice dropping into that deep, possessive register. "Didn't feel like a mistake when you had your arms wrapped around my neck, baby. Didn't feel like a mistake when you were kissing me back and clenching all on this di-"
You started biting your lip hard, heart pounding against your ribs. "Shut up, Michael. Seriously, we were just in the heat of the moment and y'know that so don't start that shit with me today before I hang up on your ass."
His voice dropped to a softer tone. "I miss you. Both of you. Come back to neverland we can have family time again y'know..." he tapped his free hand against the table.
You swallowed down the ache in your chest, trying desperately to stay strong. "No. I'm not doing this game with you, michael. If I come I'm only dropping nae off."
He chuckled smoothly, right before you hang up. "I'll see you Friday, pretty lady. You can't hide from me forever."
You slam the phone back onto the wall mount, standing alone in the kitchen, leaning against the counter as your breath catches in your throatâterrified of how much you still love him, and even more terrified of letting him break your heart again.
"Fuckin prick, can't stand his good dick good for nothing ass....ugh!" You rubbed a hand on your forehead trying to calm your nerves.
Later that night, close to around 7 pm, you bathed naomi, fed her, the same old night routine that the two of you settled into that suited you both comfortably. Around 8 pm, she was out like a light. You did not play about that sleep schedule.
Eventually, you took you a shower and changed into a comfortable pajama set. Settling down on the couch just thinking about everything that's been happening in your life and maybe even michael, you sighed, taking a sip of your wine.
Your mind replayed all the filthy things he did and said to you, causing you to take a deep breath
"Right there mama?, I got you"
Each slow roll of his hips when he said "all ova"
Each and every time he sped up his pace.
It all replayed in your head like a broken record, causing you to get extremely frustrated with yourself. "I can't stand that man fuck" you took another sip of your wine. The wine starting to catch up with you. You eventually made your way to the kitchen and cleaned the cup out before wandering off to your bedroom.
You unfolded the sheets, getting beneath them. Today's events finally took Atoll on you, and you eventually drifted off to sleep.
The red digital numbers on your nightstand clock read 3:14 AM.
Your bedroom was pitch-black, save for the faint slant of moonlight cutting through the blinds. You were fast asleep, tangled in your blankets, when the harsh, shrill ring of the landline on your nightstand shattered the quiet.
You jolted awake, your heart instantly leaping into your throat. At three in the morning, a phone call usually meant bad news. Panicked, you threw off the covers and snatched the receiver off the cradle before the third ring could wake Naomi in the next room.
"Hello?!" you hissed into the phone, your voice thick with sleep and laced with panic. "Is everything okay? What happened?"
A quiet, low breath came over the line, followed by the faint sound of music playing softly in the backgroundâa slow, classic jazz tune softly echoing through a recording studio control room.
"Hey, baby..."
Michaelâs voice was smooth, velvety, and completely unbothered. It was that deep, late-night rasp he only got when heâd been up all night working, his tone carrying a quiet, intimate warmth that immediately made your heart do an unwanted flip.
You let out a harsh, exasperated breath, sinking back against your pillows and rubbing your hand over your face.
"Michael? Are you out of your mind?!" you whispered angrily, keeping your voice down so you wouldn't wake your daughter. "It is three o'clock in the morning! I thought somebody was in the hospital!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he murmured softly, letting out a low, breathless chuckle that vibrated right through the receiver. "I didn't mean to scare you, tinka. I just... I couldn't wait till morning to call you. I've been thinking about you all night."
"Well, stop thinkin' about me and go to sleep," you snapped back, slick as ever despite being half-asleep. "Normal people sleep at night, michael. What do you want?"
"Pack a bag," he said simply.
You blinked in the dark, pulling the phone an inch away from your ear to look at it before pressing it back. "What?"
"Pack a bag," he repeated, his voice dropping into a tender, persuasive murmur. "Come to Italy with me."
The room went dead silent for three full seconds. You sat up straight in bed, the rest of your sleepiness instantly evaporating.
"Italy?" you repeated, your voice incredulous. "Michael, have you lost the rest of your sanity? I am not going to Italy with you."
"Why not?" he asked gently, the smile in his voice obvious. "Youâve been talking about wanting to see Florence and Rome since the day I met you. You used to look at those travel books in the living room at Hayvenhurst for hours. I have a break in my schedule for four days before I gotta be back in the studio. Let me take you."
"Michael, no," you said firmly, trying to harden your heart against the sudden, overwhelming wave of yearning in your chest. "First of all, I have a life here. Second of all, I have a four-year-old child! I can't just drop everything and fly across the Atlantic Ocean on a random night because you had a sudden burst of spontaneity."
"Naomi is taken care of," he said immediately, his voice soft, steady, and completely prepared. "I already talked to Joseph and Mother. Katherine is more than happy to watch her at Hayvenhurst for four days. You know Mother loves having her over, and Naomiâs gonna be spoiled rotten the whole time. Itâs already set up, baby."
Your jaw dropped slightly in the dark. "You talked to your mother before you even asked me?!"
"Because I knew youâd use her as your first excuse to say no," he replied softly, letting out another quiet chuckle. "I'm eliminating your excuses, pretty lady."
"It's not an excuse, Michael, it's reality!" You gripped the phone tightly, your pulse racing. "We are not together! You can't just buy me a trip to Europe and act like we didn't spend the last three weeks arguing and ignoring each other. Do you think a plane ticket fixes everything?"
The line went quiet for a moment. The playful, cocky edge in Michael's tone suddenly faded away, replaced by a raw, heavy sincerity that made your breath catch in your throat.
"I don't think it fixes everything," Michael said, his voice dropping so low it was almost a whisper, deep and vulnerable against your ear. "I just... I need to get away, tinka. And I don't wanna go without you. I don't want the press, I don't want the bodyguards crowding us, I don't want the noise. Just a quiet villa in the countryside. Just you and me."
"Michael..." you breathed out, your voice softening against your will.
"Please," he murmured. The word was so soft, so genuine, coming from a man who rarely had to beg for anything in his entire life. "Please, baby. Just say yes. Stop fighting me on this. I miss you. I miss talking to you without you having one foot out the door. Just give me four days. If you still hate me when we get back, Iâll leave you alone. I promise. But please... come with me."
You closed your eyes tightly, biting your lip so hard it almost bled. Hearing him sound so soft, so desperate for just a piece of your time, completely shattered the high walls you had spent weeks building up. You loved him God, you loved him so much it terrified you, and hearing the raw need in his voice was a weapon you couldn't defend against.
"You are relentless," you whispered, a quiet, defeated sigh escaping your lips. "You know that, right? You are an absolute menace."
A slow, breathless chuckle rippled through the phone line, rich with satisfaction and relief.
"Is that a yes, pretty lady?" he asked softly, his tone dipping back into that dark, velvety charm.
"When is the plane leaving?" you asked, rubbing your forehead.
"Driver's picking you and Naomi up at eight in the morning," Michael said smoothly, a triumphant smirk practically radiating through the speaker. "We drop Naomi at Hayvenhurst, and the jet leaves at ten."
"Eight in the morning?!" You sat up sharply. "Michael, it is almost three-thirty right now!"
"Then you better get to packing, baby," he purred teasingly, his low laugh echoing softly in your ear. "Wear something pretty. Iâll see you in a few hours, tinka."
Before you could fire off one last slick remark, the line went dead. You stared at the glowing red clock on your nightstand, letting out a long, dramatic groan as you threw your head back onto the pillows, knowing deep down that you were running straight back into the fire and you weren't even sure you wanted to be saved.
The red glow of the digital clock seemed to mock you every time you glanced at it: 4:15 AM, then 5:30 AM, then 6:45 AM.
You hadn't slept a single wink. Instead, you spent the rest of the night frantically throwing outfits into a suitcase for yourself trying to strike the impossible balance between "I don't care about you, michael" and "I want to look gorgeous in Italy"âwhile carefully packing Naomiâs small pink trunk with four days' worth of clothes, favorite toys, and her nighttime blanket for her stay at Hayvenhurst.
By the time the sun began to filter through the blinds, your head was pounding, your eyes were burning, and your patience was completely nonexistent. You were running on pure exhaustion, a cup of lukewarm black coffee, and intense regret for letting Michael Jackson sweet-talk you into this at three in the morning.
At exactly 8:00 AM, a sleek black town car pulled up to the curb outside your apartment building.
"Come on, sweetie," you grumbled, hauling the two heavy suitcases toward the door while Naomi happily trotted alongside you, holding her stuffed rabbit and completely oblivious to the chaos.
The driver helped load the bags into the trunk, and within twenty minutes, you were pulling up the winding driveway of Hayvenhurst.
Michael was already standing on the front porch waiting for you. He looked frustratingly handsome and entirely too rested, wearing a dark fedora, red button-down shirt, and sunglasses tucked into his collar, holding a warm cup of tea. The moment the car stopped and you stepped out, his eyes locked onto yours, and that slow, insufferable, triumphant smirk spread across his lips.
"Good morning, my two favoriteâ" Michael started, stepping down the stairs.
"Don't 'good morning' me, Michael," you snapped before he could even finish the sentence, throwing your purse over your shoulder with enough force to tear a seam. "I haven't slept, my back hurts, and if you start with all that cocky shit I'm goin home."
He stopped in his tracks, his smirk instantly softening into an amused, knowing grin. He knew exactly what a sleepy, cranky version of you looked like, and he found it entirely too cute.
"Mhm," he chuckled softly under his breath, kneeling down as Naomi sprinted into his arms. "Looks like somebody didn't get her beauty sleep, huh princess?"
"Mommy was loud packing bags all night!" Naomi announced loudly to her father.
"Is that so?" He teased, kissing Naomi's cheek before looking up at you from the ground, his dark eyes sparkling behind his curls. "You could've just come over last night and let me pack for you, baby."
"In your wildest, most delusional dreams, michael," you rolled your eyes, snatching Naomiâs small bag from the trunk.
Katherine stepped out onto the porch with a warm, welcoming smile, rescuing the moment. You gave her a tight, loving hug, making sure Naomi was settled in with her grandmother before giving your daughter a dozen kisses goodbye.
"Be a good girl for Grandma Katherine, okay?" you whispered, smoothing Naomi's hair.
"I will! Bye Mommy! Bye Daddy!" Naomi cheered, running inside to show Katherine her stuffed rabbit.
"Alright, pretty lady. Time to go," Michael said smoothly, sliding his hand gently against the small of your back to guide you toward the waiting black SUV that would take you both to the private airport.
You shot his hand a sharp look, shoving your hands into your jacket pockets instead. "Touch me again before I've had real sleep, and see what happens."
"Feisty," he whispered in your ear, letting out that low, raspy laugh that made you want to slap him and kiss him at the same time.
The interior of the heavy SUV was quietâor at least, it should have been quiet.
Bill, Michaelâs long-time head of security, was sitting in the front passenger seat, staring straight ahead at the highway with the posture of a man who had seen too much and endured too many long car rides.
In the back row, the tension was thick enough to cut with a knife.
"I just think it's hilarious," you said, staring out the tinted window with your arms crossed tightly over your chest, "that you think four days in Italy is supposed to make me forget how arrogant you've been."
Michael was leaning back against his leather seat, completely relaxed, one leg crossed casually over the other while he played with the silver buckle on his belt.
"I'm not trying to make you forget anything, tinka," he said smoothly, turning his head to look at you with that maddeningly cocky grin. "I'm just giving you what you've always wanted. You should be thanking me. Most women would kill to have Michael Jackson call them at three in the morning to fly 'em to Rome."
You slowly turned your head, glaring at him with pure venom. "First of all, I am not 'most women.' Second of all, don't talk about yourself in the third person. It makes you look like a tool. And third of all, you didn't fly me out because you're generous. You flew me out because you missed me and couldn't handle me ignoring your phone calls!"
He let out a breathy, arrogant laugh, leaning slightly toward you in the backseat. "Oh, is that right? You think I was sitting by the phone crying over you?"
"Yes! Exactly that!" You shot back, slick as ever. "You were sitting in Westlake Studios, pouting into your microphone because I made Naomi answer the phone instead of me!"
"I don't pout," he said, tilting his head with a smug click of his tongue. "I improvise. And clearly, my improvisation worked because who's sitting in the back of my car right now?"
"Because you bribed me with your mother watching my child!"
From the front seat, Bill let out a deep, heavy, long-suffering sigh, resting his forehead directly against his hand and staring out the windshield as if praying for strength.
"Are you two gonna do this all the way to Europe?" Bill asked quietly, his voice deadpan and exhausted without even turning around. "Because if so, I'm asking for a raise the second we land in Florence."
"Maybe." You and Michael said in exact unison.
Michael looked at you, a sudden smirk breaking through his tough act, clearly enjoying the argument way too much. "See? We still agree on some things."
"Shut up, Michael," you grumbled, pulling your jacket tighter around yourself and slumping back against the leather seat, closing your eyes.
"Make me, baby," he murmured softly under his breath, just quiet enough so Bill wouldn't hear, his fingers lightly brushing against your knee under the blanket. You slapped his hand away without even opening your eyes, though the heat rising in your cheeks betrayed you completely.
Twenty minutes later, the SUV pulled up directly onto the tarmac at the private airfield.
Standing right, there was Michaelâs private jet, its massive silver body gleaming under the morning sun. The stairs were unfolded, and the flight crew was waiting at the top to greet you.
Michael stepped out of the car first, putting his sunglasses on and offering you a hand as you climbed out. You ignored his hand entirely, grabbing your own purse and walking right past him up the stairs, your denim skirt swaying with every step.
"Always gotta have the last word," he chuckled to himself, following right behind you up the airstrip stairs.
As soon as you stepped inside the cabin, the luxury was overwhelming deep cream leather seats, warm wood paneling, fresh flowers on the table, and a private bedroom set up toward the back.
You tossed your purse onto one of the broad executive chairs and sank into it with a loud groan, resting your head back against the leather.
He walked into the cabin behind you, taking off his hat and tossing it onto the table. He stood over your chair, leaning down until his face was just inches from yours, his dark eyes locking onto your tired face with a look that was equal parts of beautiful yet so playful.
"Welcome aboard, pretty lady," Michael whispered, his voice low and smooth. "Now... are we gonna keep fighting for the next twelve hours, or are you gonna let me take care of you?"
You glared up at him through heavy eyelids, taking in the way he hovered over you the subtle scent of his perfume filling your nose, his dark curls spilling past his forehead, and that infuriatingly smooth expression that said he knew he had you right where he wanted you.
"Taking care of me would mean letting me sleep for the next couple of hours without you whispering in my ear, michael," you grumbled, though you didn't actually push him away.
"I can do that," he murmured softly, his thumb gently catching the underside of your jawline, holding you still for just a second. "I can lay right back there with you and keep quiet. But you gotta promise to be good f'me mama."
"I don't make promises I can't keep," you shot back, a tiny smirk tugging at the corner of your lips despite your sheer exhaustion. "Especially to cocky men on private jets."
Michael let out a low, breathless laugh, his big eyes sparkling with that deep, dangerous affection that always made your stomach do backflips. "But you love this cocky man."
He straightened up, extending a hand out to you. "Come on. The flight attendants already turned down the bed in the back. Go lie down before you pass out in this chair."
You stared at his outstretched hand for a beat, your brain screaming at you to maintain your boundaries, to stay strictly in the leather chair, and to keep up the unbothered facade. But your aching muscles and burning eyes won the argument. With a quiet, defeated sigh, you slipped your fingers into his warm palm.
"Fine," you muttered, letting him pull you up from the chair. "But if you start running your mouth while I'm trying to sleep, I'm kicking you out the room."
"Deal," He whispered, leading you down the carpeted aisle toward the back compartment of the jet.
The private bedroom was dimly lit, the plush king-sized mattress fitted with crisp, high-thread-count white sheets and heavy silk pillows. A small basket of fresh fruit and two covered glasses of ice water sat on the nightstand beside the built-in window, which was already shaded against the glare of the morning sun.
You kicked off your shoes without ceremony, practically collapsing onto the soft mattress and burying your face into the oversized pillows. The sheer comfort was so overwhelming that an involuntary groan escaped your throat.
"Told you," he said from the doorway, leaning against the frame with his arms loosely crossed over his chest, watching you with a soft, fond expression.
"Shut up," you mumbled into the pillow, pulling the heavy duvet up over your shoulders. "I'm trying to sleep here."
He chuckled quietly, stepping into the room with that silent, effortless grace of his. He reached down to gently pull the duvet up higher, tucking it carefully around your shoulders. His hand lingered on the side of your head, his long fingers lightly stroking through your hair in slow, soothing motions.
The touch was so gentle, so full of that quiet tenderness he only showed when the rest of the world wasn't watching, that it instantly melted away the last bit of fight left in your body.
"Get some rest, baby," Michael murmured, his voice dropping into a whisper-soft against the quiet hum of the jet's engines starting up. "We got a long flight."
"You're not staying?" you asked softly, your eyes half-closed as you looked up at him, the sudden, raw vulnerability slipping through your cranky wall before you could stop it.
Michael paused, a faint, genuine smile touching his lips. The cocky, teasing front completely vanished, leaving only that deep, intense gaze that always made you feel completely exposed.
"You want me to?" he asked softly.
You bit your lip, turning your face back toward the pillow so he wouldn't see the blush creeping up your neck. "Only because you'll distract the flight attendants if you're out there. Just stay quiet."
"Whatever you say, pretty lady," Michael whispered, a low, contented chuckle vibrating in his chest as he carefully unbuttoned his collar and slid onto the top of the sheets beside you.
He didn't push it. He simply reached out, sliding one heavy, warm arm over your waist, pulling your back flush against his chest as the plane slowly began to taxi down the runway. His warm breath fanned softly against the back of your neck, his fingers resting gently over your hip.
And as the jet lifted smoothly into the sky, taking you miles away from home and straight toward Italy, you finally let out the breath you felt like you'd been holding for weeks wondering how on earth you were going to survive four days alone with the only man who could completely dismantle you with a single touch.
The twelve-hour flight had been a blur of heavy sleep and low, quiet conversations whenever you woke up. But as the private jet finally touched down at the airport near Florence, the sheer reality of what you had agreed to hit you all over again.
The heat of the Italian afternoon air greeted you the moment the cabin door opened. Bill was already down on the tarmac, coordinating with the private security team and making sure the tinted Mercedes sedan was pulled up directly alongside the plane.
Michael slipped his sunglasses over his eyes and put his black fedora back on, catching your arm gently as you walked down the stairs. "Stay close to me, tinka," he murmured, his voice dropping into that protective, sharp tone he used whenever he stepped into public spaces.
Within twenty minutes, the car was winding through the narrow, ancient streets of Florence, passing grand stone archways, historic plazas, and sun-bathed villa estates.
The car eventually pulled into the private, cobblestone courtyard of a breath-taking 15th-century boutique hotel tucked away in the Tuscan hills. It was secluded, luxurious, and surrounded by sprawling olive groves completely hidden from the press and screaming fans.
Inside the opulent lobby, the hotel manager personally greeted Michael with low bows, handing over the brass keys to the top-floor master suite before discreetly bowing out.
The moment Bill unlocked the door to the suite, you stepped inside and dropped your purse onto the armchair. The room was stunning high vaulted ceilings, hand-painted fresco murals, exposed dark wood beams, and a private balcony overlooking the red-tiled roofs of the city.
Then, your eyes landed on the center of the room.
There was one bed. A massive, grand king-sized four-poster bed draped in crisp white Egyptian cotton and plush pillows.
You stood dead in your tracks, staring at it before slowly turning around to face Michael, who had just stepped inside after thanking Bill.
"No," you said plainly, crossing your arms tightly over your chest.
He paused, taking off his sunglasses and looking at you with that maddeningly innocent expression. "No, what?"
"No. Absolutely not," you scoffed, pointing a finger at the gigantic bed. "Where is the second room, Michael? Where is the sofa bed? Where is the second mattress?"
He clicked his tongue, a tiny smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he set his hat down on the dresser. "Baby, this is the grand penthouse suite. It's the most private room in the whole estate. They don't put twin beds in a luxury romantic suite."
"Then you can call the front desk and tell them Michael Jackson needs a room with two beds." You said. "Because I am not sleeping in the same bed as you. We are divorced. I am not falling back into your little web just because we're in Italy."
"Tinka, listen to yourself," he chuckled, taking a slow step toward you, his hands resting casually on his hips. "The bed is huge! Itâs practically the size of a football field. You could sleep on one side, I could sleep on the other, and we wouldn't even touch each other."
"I don't care if it's the size of the State of California," you snapped, glaring at him. "You stay on your side of the room, michael. I'll take the couch."
"You are not sleeping on the couch," he said, his tone instantly shifting from cocky to firm, his dark eyes locking onto yours with intense sincerity. He walked right up to you, closing the distance until you had to tilt your chin up to look at him. "I brought you out here to relax, not to make you sleep on a wooden sofa frame. Please, baby."
"Michaelâ"
"Please," he repeated softly, his voice dropping into that quiet, velvety murmur, his hand coming up to gently rest against the side of your waist. "I promise I'll stay on my side. I won't cross the middle line. Just sleep in the bed. Don't be stubborn just to fight me."
You looked at the couch, which, actually, looked entirely too small and stiff for a good night's rest and then back at his pleading eyes. You let out a long, heavy sigh, rolling your eyes dramatically.
"Fine," you muttered, shoving his hand away from your waist with a small frown. "But if you so much as breathe too loud on my side of that mattress, im sleeping on the couch."
"Fair enough," Michael grinned, white teeth flashing as he leaned in real quick to press a lightning-fast kiss to your cheek before you could swat him away. "Now go get dressed. I'm taking you to dinner."
By eight o'clock, the sun was setting over Florence, casting a brilliant orange and pink glow across the skyline.
He had reserved the entire rooftop terrace of a private, family-owned trattoria overlooking the Ponte Vecchio. It was lit entirely by soft candlelight and string lights woven through grapevines overhead. A private waiter quietly served fresh pasta, warm bread, and deep red wine, while a soft accordion played somewhere in the distance below.
Michael had traded his fedora for a sharp, dark tailored jacket, his curls styled soft and loose around his face. Sitting across from you at the small round table, the flickering candlelight reflected in his dark eyes, making him look almost overwhelmingly handsome.
"So," he murmured, leaning his chin on his hand as he watched you take a sip of wine. "Are you still mad at me for calling you at three in the morning?"
"Michael," you replied, setting your glass down with a slight smirk. "It is kinda crazy that you did call me at 3 in the morning. Why wouldn't I be upset?"
"Mhm," he chuckled, reaching across the small table. His long fingers gently slid over the tablecloth, lightly wrapping around your hand. He didn't pull away when you gave him a sharp look. Instead, his thumb just slowly stroked the back of your knuckles. "You say that, but you looked pretty happy when we were looking at the view-"
"The view of Florence is beautiful," you said, trying hard to ignore the warmth spreading up your arm from his touch. "That has nothing to do with you."
"You're terrible," he whispered, a low, rich laugh vibrating in his chest. His eyes softened, his gaze trailing over your face with that raw, undeniable affection he could never quite hide. "I missed this, y'know. I missed just sitting with you... no press, no music execs, no screaming fans. Just you talking trash to me."
You bit the inside of your cheek, the slick remarks suddenly dying on your tongue. The ambient music, the warm Italian breeze, and the intense, quiet devotion in his eyes were making it almost impossible to keep your walls up.
"You're a pain in my ass, michael," you whispered softly, not pulling your hand away from his.
"Yeah," he smiled, his thumb continuing its gentle circles over your skin as he leaned slightly closer across the candlelit table. "But you still love me though, baby."
The four days in Italy had gone by in a golden, dreamlike blur. You had spent the afternoon hours wandering down quiet cobblestone alleys, ducking into tiny local leather shops, and indulging in fresh gelato while Michael disguised in an unbuttoned linen shirt, dark glasses, and a low hat walked right beside you, his hand occasionally slipping into yours whenever he thought you weren't looking.
For the first time in months, there were no cameras, no rushing schedules, and no heavy expectations. It was just the two of you, constantly trading slick remarks, laughing until your ribs ached, and slipping back into that effortless, magnetic rhythm that had drawn you to each other in the first place. Now, on the fourth and final night, the warm Italian air was still and quiet outside.
Instead of going out to a fancy restaurant, you both decided to stay inside the penthouse. The French balcony doors were pushed wide open, allowing a cool evening breeze to drift into the grand bedroom, carrying the faint sound of distant street music and the scent of night-blooming jasmine.
You were sitting cross-legged on the edge of the massive four-poster bed, stripped down to a silk slip dress, swirling a half-empty glass of deep red Tuscan wine in your hand michael had completely ditched his shoes, jacket, and hat, lounging back against a pile of plush velvet pillows in just an unbuttoned black shirt and pants, his dark, damp curls framing his sharp jawline.
A second bottle of wine already sat empty on the nightstand. "I'm just saying," you said, pointing your wine glass at him with a slight, hazy giggle, "you were terrible at keeping secrets back then. Even now you're horrible at keepin secrets with that loud mouth of yours."
"That is not true!" He protested softly, letting out a rich, breathy laugh that echoed warmly in the quiet room. He reached out and took a sip from his own glass, dark eyes sparkling under the dim amber lamps. "I was discreet, tinka. There's a huge difference, y'know."
"Michael, you literally bought me a giant bouquet of white roses and had the assistant deliver them to my desk in front of everyone," you scoffed, a fond smile breaking through your usual tough exterior. "Very subtle, mikey."
"Well..." he hummed, a lazy, gorgeous smirk spreading across his face as he set his glass down on the nightstand. "I wanted them to know you were taken. There's nothin' wrong with that."
"We weren't even officially dating yet!"
"Doesn't matter," he whispered, his voice dropping an octave, smooth and heavy like silk. "I already knew you were gonna be mine."
You rolled your eyes, but the faint blush rising on your cheeks betrayed you instantly. You took another small sip of your wine, looking out at the glittering lights of Florence visible through the balcony doors. "I can't believe we have to leave tomorrow," you murmured softly, the playful edge slipping away from your voice, replaced by a sudden, quiet ache. "Back to reality, i guess."
He didn't answer right away. The atmosphere in the room shifted, thick with a sudden, unspoken intensity. Slowly, he shifted his position on the bed, crawling forward with that effortless, panther-like grace until he was sitting right beside you. He reached out, his long fingers carefully taking the wine glass from your hand and placing it on the nightstand next to his.
"Michaelâ" you started, your breath catching.
"Don't talk about tomorrow," he said softly, his tone dropping to complete gentleness. "We're still here right now."
Before you could fire off a protective, slick response, he reached out and gently laid his hand on your knee. His skin was warm, his touch sending a rush of electricity straight up your spine. Slowly, deliberately, his fingers slid up along your thigh, pulling you just an inch closer to him on the soft mattress.
"You've been extra mean to me this whole trip, y'know that mama?" He murmured, a quiet, teasing glint in his eyes, though his gaze was intensely focused on your lips. "You deserved every bit of it," you whispered back, trying to keep your voice steady despite your racing heart. "Someone has to keep your ass in check round here."
"Mhm..." he hummed, leaning in closer until you could feel the warm fan of his breath against your cheek. "And who's gonna keep you in check, pretty lady?"
His touch became bolder, his hand sliding up to rest at the small of your back, pulling your body flush against his chest. The familiar, overwhelming scent of his cologne wrapped around you, completely dismantling whatever logical defenses you had left. He tilted his head, his dark eyes locking onto yours with a heavy, intoxicating yearning. "You still love me, baby?. You disappeared that night, and it really bothered me and I-"
"You are infuriating," you breathed out, your hands coming up to rest against his chest. But instead of pushing him away, your fingers instinctively curled into the soft fabric of his unbuttoned shirt.
"Just tell me you love me," he whispered, his voice dropping into a raspy, irresistible murmur right against your mouth. "You and i both know what we have is real, that night before you left, that was magical baby."
You opened your mouth to give him a sharp, clever comeback, but Michael didn't give you the chance.
He shifted, sliding his hand up to cup the back of your neck, his fingers tangling tightly into your hair. Instead of capturing your lips, he buried his face into the sensitive crook where your neck met your shoulder, pressing his lips firmly, warmly against your sweet spot. A shaky, helpless gasp tore from your throat, your eyes fluttering shut instantly as an intense wave of heat coursed through your entire body.
"Michael..." you gasped out, your grip on his shirt tightening as your head fell back against his arm. "Stop... we saidâ"
"I know what we said," he murmured against your skin, his voice deep, gravelly, and completely breathless. He didn't stop. He dragged his lips slowly up the side of your neck, leaving a trail of hot, lingering kisses right over your pulse point, making your heart hammer frantically against your ribs. His thumb softly stroked your jawline, holding you right in place as he placed another deep, tender kiss right on that exact spot that made you completely weak.
"Michael, I'm serious..." you tried to protest, but the words came out soundless, a soft sigh escaping your lips as his hands smoothed down your waist, holding you possessively against him.
"I love you, baby," he whispered against the shell of your ear, his breath hot and ragged as he pulled back just enough to look at you, his wide eyes fierce with emotion. "I never stopped. Not for a single second."
Looking up at him in the dim, candlelight glow of the penthouse feeling the heat of his skin, the genuine desperation in his voice, at that very moment. You knew you were absolutely fucked.
You stare up at him, your hands still clutched tightly in the front of his unbuttoned shirt. You try so hard to conjure up one last slick remark, some clever defense to protect your heart, but looking into his dark eyes so raw, desperate, and utterly exposed the slick remarks completely dry up.
â"You're a liar, michael," you breathe out, your voice trembling slightly.
â"I'm not," he pleads softly, his thumb tracing over your bottom lip, his dark eyes searching yours with a feverish intensity. "I swear to you, tinka, I'm not lying. I know I mess up. I know I drive you crazy and I get caught up in work and everything else... but nobody holds me down like you. Nobody has my heart like you do. Please..."
âHe leans in closer, his forehead resting gently against yours, his warm breath fanning across your lips.
â"Please give me another chance," he begs, his tone so tender and vulnerable it makes your eyes sting. "Just let me love you, baby. Iâll be good. Iâll be a good boy for you, I swear... just don't keep running from me."
âHearing Michael Jackson, the most famous man on the planet literally begging you, promising to be good just to keep you in his arms, shatters the very last wall standing around your heart.
â"You better keep that promise, Michael," you whisper softly.
âA breathless, euphoric smile breaks across his face, and before you can say another word, Michael captures your lips in a deep, desperate kiss. âThe moment your lips meet, all the built-up tension, the weeks of ghosting him, the petty arguments, and the endless yearning melt away. The kiss isn't rushed or rough itâs intense, heavy with months of missed touch and lingering love. Michael's hand slides up into the hair at the back of your head, holding you flush against him as he pulls you into the kiss, drinking you in like heâs been starving.
âYou let out a soft, surrender moan against his mouth, your arms finally winding around his neck, pulling him down as close as humanly possible. He groans softly, his free hand wrapping firmly around your waist, pulling your body completely into his lap as he tilts his head to deepen the kiss, tasting like deep red wine and pure devotion.
âEvery time you try to catch your breath, he presses another warm, lingering kiss to your lips, then down to your jawline, and right back to your lips again unwilling to let a single millimeter of space come between you.
â"Michael..." you gasp out weakly against his mouth, your mind spinning, completely intoxicated by his warmth.
â"I got you, baby," he murmurs against your lips, his dark eyes glowing with absolute triumph and deep warmth as he pulls back just an inch. "I got you." âWithout breaking eye contact, he smoothly shifts his weight. He slides one long arm securely around your back and hooks his other arm under your knees, effortlessly lifting you up into his arms in one fluid movement.
âYou let out a quiet gasp, your hands instinctively clutching his shoulders to balance yourself as he stands up from the edge of the bed.
âhe carries you with absolute care across the dimly lit room, his eyes never leaving yours. He looks at you like you're the absolute center of his universe, not the screaming crowds, not the record labels, not the press, just you.
âHe gently lays you down in the middle of the massive, plush mattress. You watched him with needy eyes, "Come on, michael." You said, a smirk forming across your lips. "Come do my back like you do those record, break this shit." You slowly started peeling your pants and panties down along with your shirt, leaving only your bra on.
Michael watched like a animal, he bit his lower lip. "You sure you want that mama....I don't wanna go overboard y'know we have a flight tomorrow morning." He said looking down at you as you started spreading your legs showing him your glistening pussy. A smirk plastered all on your lip. His breath catching in his throat, he pulled you closer by your ankle to the edge of the bed. He instantly dropped to his knees licking his lips looking up at you with those big brown eyes.
He pressed both of his hands on your thighs holding them open, he started kissing your inner thighs kissing everywhere instead of the place you desperately wanted it at. "mikey....baby don't tease-" suddenly you felt his tongue go directly on your clit.
He stopped again and started peppering kisses on your stomach. Then he went back to your pussy and pushes his tongue in. Causing a soft moan to escape your lips. "mmh....right there baby you doin so good f'me.." your own chest tightens at your own words. You try to breathe through it, trying your hardest to stay focused. But all that slips out your lips are broken moans as he ate your pussy like a starving man.
Your hand instantly went to his hair, gripping the soft curls. His nose started to bump your clit, soft groans escaping his lips sending vibrations to your clit. "Mmnghmâ" you breathed in, the tip of his nose bumping your clit on purpose now. "fuckk...m-michael....I think I'm gonna-"
He nods like he already knows, he continues to lick and slurp and bump his nose repeatedly on your clit, through your shaky breaths and broken moans, your hips stuttering into his face. Your fingers tightening in his hair, your back arches. "mike! ohmygoshhh!â" you cum with a guttural moan that shakes your whole body.
He kisses all around your clit looking at you, his eyes filled with lust, love, and admiration. Slowly, he pulled away, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. He un buckled his pants, slowly starting to pull them down along with his boxers. Freeing his long girthy dick, you weren't even sure if michael knew how BIG he was.
He pulled his shirt over his hand, tossing it to the side somewhere, "You look so pretty mama, look at you....I wish you could see the view." He hovered over you. Instantly, his lips found yours, his tongue slipping past your lips as the two of you kissed. His hand snaking its way down to your clit rubbing tight circles directly on it.
Your hips jerking up. You moan into his mouth, "mmh-" he stopped rubbing circles and even stopped kissing you. He sat up straightly and looked directly into your eyes. "Listen to me, listen to my words. Breathe." He said. "I'm gonna make love to you, and I want you to look at me the entire time. Do you understand? If you look away, we're starting over, alright, Mama?" He coached, tapping the tip of his dick on your clit then rubbing it.
You nodded your head, unable to form any words right now, "mhm" you nodded your head instantly. He didn't like that at all, he stopped rubbing his tip on your clit. "Words, Mama." You sighed, looking at him, "yes baby," hiccup, "I understand, I promise."
"Wait..." he climbed out the bed, going to his bag and pulling out a vibrator, you watched utterly confused. "Where did you even get that from?" You said. He walked back toward the bed, a smirk on his face. "Got it to use it on you." He said, climbing back into bed and getting on top of you. "Remember what I said, alright?" His eyes stayed locked on yours as he lined up, the fat head of his cock nudging your entrance. He pushed in slow, stretching you open inch by inch until his hips met yours and he bottomed out. "There it is," he breathed, voice low and rough. "relax mama I got you."
You moaned out. "Oh fuckkkâ" you said, remaining eye contact with him. You wouldn't dare look away after what he just told you. "Feel s'good ohmygoshâ" you moaned.
He started moving, deep, steady thrusts that rocked your whole body. Every time his cock dragged out, the vibrator he held in his free hand pressed flat against your clit, buzzing hard and constant. The double sensation made your thighs shake. You tried to keep your eyes on him, but the pressure built too fast and your lids fluttered.
"Eyes on me," he snapped, pulling the vibrator away. The sudden loss made you whine. "We start over if you look away." He slammed back in, harder this time, and brought the toy back to your swollen clit. "That's it. Keep looking at me while I fuck this pretty pussy. You feel how deep I am? How I'm stretching you open?" He blabbered.
"michael, oh fuckk....Michael, Michael babyy." You chant his name like a prayer. His fat dick pressing against your gummy walls, right underneath your clit as he nudges your soft cervix. You almost can't take it. The way he fills you completely fucking you so deep, it makes your legs tremble.
Your breath hitched, tears already pricking at the corners of your eyes from the relentless stimulation. Every thrust punched a moan out of you. The vibrator circled your clit in tight, merciless strokes. Your walls fluttered around him, close, so close.
Michael felt it. He pulled the toy off again, hips stilling. "Not yet. You don't get to cum until I say." He leaned down, lips brushing your ear. "Please dont.....don't stop baby, please." Your passionate begging is all he needed to get riled up again. You knew he had all this stamina, hell you weren't even sure he knew he had all this stamina so you knew it was gonna be a very very VERY long night.
He started again, slower, grinding deep while the vibrator teased your clit in short bursts. Your hands fisted in the sheets. Your breathing quickening. "I," slam. "Love," another slam. "You." Another slam.
You cried out, "ohmyâfuck!" You looked at him, your lips parted open in a silent "O" shape. His hips are rolling slower against you. From your view he looked so fucking good. Sweat glistened his body, his teeth biting his lower lip, his Adam's apple in his throat whenever he threw his head back. Your hands fisted in the sheets.
Before you could even think he flipped you on your stomach, yanking your hips up. He drove back in from behind, the new angle making you cry out. One hand pressed the vibrator to your clit again while the other gripped your hip hard enough to bruise. "Look at this view mommy, oh fuck.." he threw his head back. His hand that was on your hip moving to your back pressing down more to make you arch more.
He fucked you through another near orgasm, pulling the toy away at the last second. You were openly sobbing now, face pressed into the mattress, body trembling. He pulled out again and hauled you upright. A small gasp escaping your lips. He threw the vibrator on the bed somewhere.
He stood up pulling you along with him. Your back pressed against his chest. You were acting completely out. Your arms clinging to his arms, "don't touch me, embrace your cum mama and enjoy it..."
"It's t-too much..." you sobbed out. "I know, but you're doing such a great job takin it," he slipped his tip back inside you while the both of you stood. His hand snaking up to your neck. "But control yourself, can you do that f'me?, hm?" He asked.
You nodded your head, "I'll try," his hips rocking very slow against you. "If you can't control yourself, control your breathing mama." His hand stayed on your throat, not squeezing hard, just holding. Then he started fastening his pace. You were a complete mess, your skin hot, cheeks puffy from crying, your hair a bit messed up, your even drooling. He started picking up his pace again.
Loud moans spilling out your lips as he fucked you dumb, you thought the last time you guys had sex was great. This was even better. Its overwhelming how precisely his hips move.
"Who's fucking you baby?," he asked, his hips snapping against you. You could barely fathom any sentences. Ridiculous blabbering just coming out your mouth. Then suddenly he slowed his pace, "I asked you a question."
"Michael!" You screamed out, voice hoarse. "Michael!âfuckâmichael" He grinned, his hips going back to that snapping pace, his hand on your throat squeezing you just a fraction. "I want another baby, you want that too mama?" He asked.
"Yes!" You moaned out, "fuckâmmnghm yes yes yess!" You closed your eyes. He smiled at that, "gonna fill this pussy up til the brim." Your whole body seized. The orgasm ripped through you so violently you squirted around his dick, soaking his stomach and the floor. He groaned fucking you through it, chasing his own release. "atta girl, there you mamaâthat's it" he buried himself deep and came, pulsing hot inside your womb while you shook and cried.
You collapsed on the bed, breathing heavily tiredly and extremely fucked out, michael collapsed next to you. You both sat in silence for a few moments. Then he finally turned his head to look at you, "im sorry if I was too rough pretty." He murmured.
You looked at him still trying to catch your breath, "michael that was fucking amazing." You said with a lazy smile on your face. After awhile you and michael agreed to shower together with each other. Your legs completely limp and sore so michael mostly did all the work for you anyways. After the shower you both ended up drifting off to sleep realizing you had to be up in the morning, like early as fuck in the morning.
The gentle rustle of silk sheets and the soft, cool morning light filtering through the open balcony doors broke through your heavy sleep. Before your eyes could even open, you felt a pair of warm lips pressing a tender, lingering kiss right against your temple, followed by a quiet, raspy murmur close to your ear.
"Wake up, pretty lady..."
You groaned, pulling the duvet over your head, your body feeling like it had been run over by a very smooth, very energetic freight train. Every single muscle in your legs felt completely shot sore, weak, and utterly exhausted from the last night events.
He chuckled softly, his long fingers gently pulling the blanket back down to reveal your tired face. He was already fully dressed in a pair of dark trousers and a soft knit shirt, his curls neatly styled, looking frustratingly refreshed and far too pleased with himself.
"Come on, tinka," he whispered, a smug, low smirk playing on his lips as his hand rested on your hip. "The driverâs gonna be outside in twenty minutes. We gotta get to the airfield."
"Michael... I can't move," you muttered into the pillow, your voice thick with sleep. "My legs feel like jelly. This is entirely your fault."
A deep, proud chuckle vibrated through his chest. Michael reached under the covers, his warm hands gently sliding along your calves and massaging the tight muscles with surprising care.
"I told you I was gonna take care of you, didn't I?" he teased, his eyes sparkling with that gentle love and care. "Don't worry, baby. I got you." True to his word, michael didn't let your feet touch the cold floor until he absolutely had to. He helped you out of bed, holding your waist securely while you got dressed, brushing off your slick remarks with soft kisses to your shoulder. When it was time to step out into the hallway, he effortlessly threw your arm over his shoulder, keeping his broad arm wrapped tightly around your waist to bear most of your weight as you walked toward the elevator.
The moment you stepped out into the courtyard, Bill was waiting by the open door of the sleek black Mercedes.
As Michael guided you toward the car, his hand resting firmly on the small of your back, practically pulling you flush against his side while whispering something funny into your ear that made you blush, Bill stopped mid-movement.
Billâs eyes flicked from the way you were leaning heavily into Michael, to the undeniable, glowing grins plastered across both of your faces, and finally to Michaelâs completely victorious expression.
Bill let out a long, slow exhale, a subtle, knowing smirk touching the corner of his usually stern mouth as he shook his head. "Good morning," Bill said, his tone dripping with quiet, deadpan amusement as he held the car door open. "I see the four days in Italy went... smoothly."
"Please dont mention anything." you muttered, though you couldn't hide the huge smile breaking across your face as Michael carefully helped you slide into the backseat.
"I didn't say a word," Bill replied smoothly, shutting the door behind you.
Inside the SUV, the dynamic had completely shifted. There were no more sharp jabs or stubborn walls. Michael sat right beside you, one long arm draped lazily over the back of your seat, his fingers tangling into yours while your head rested comfortably against his shoulder. He couldn't keep his hands off you constantly kissing the top of your head, tracing patterns on your knuckles, and humming softly against your skin.
"Look at us," you whispered, teased, looking down at your intertwined hands as the car sped toward the airport. "You really think you're slick, don't you?"
"I don't think so, baby," he said softly, leaning down to press a warm, lingering kiss right to the sweet spot on your neck, making you shiver all over again. "I know so, baby."

âč àŁȘ Ë wc: 725

But you were out like a light on the couch, mouth wide open as soft snores filled the quiet atmosphere.
He furrows his eyebrows, just five minutes ago you two were chatting it up about that restaurant you both went to on the first date, he lets out an annoyed but content huffâyou looked so peaceful in your sleep. He bends down over you and places a kiss on your forehead, âsleepyhead.â

I was thinking about that mean spaghetti, what about both?â He questions, in which he doesnât get a response causing his eyes to travel down to you.
â âCourse youâre sleep.â He murmurs against your head. The car comes to a complete stop as bill turns to the back. âWeâre here Mikey.â Michael places a kiss atop of your head. âWeâll be out just give us a second.â Bill nods leaving the both of you alone. After awhile you had excused yourself to the bathroom but shortly found your way to Michaelâs old bedroom and empty promising yourself youâd just rest your eyes but, you ended up napping in his bed. EVERYONE was looking for you, Michael frantic, âWhere was she last?â âDid she leave?â âMichael you should keep up with her!â Someone bursts into his room causing you to stir awake, and there he was, A big weight of relief washed over him. âdamn it, there you are mama.â he rushes to your side. âAlways napping, you tired?â
You look up at him, eyes still filled with sleep. âCalm down jeez, whyâd you come in here like that?â You huff, fingers coming up to brush his cheek. He surrenders into your soft touch. âwhole house was lookinâ for you baby, told me you were just going to the bathroom.â
Michael had flew the two of you out for his upcoming tour and loads of interviews, you were currently propped up against the hotel pillows watching his live interview now and they were all just questions about his relationship with you, the media always got so nosey.
âHowâs the relationship going?â He smiles to himself, âgoing good I love her, she loves me, Iâm happy.â the interviewer flips through a page, âany children? marriage soon?â his face flushes red, âwell we havenât talked about it yet butââ your face also heats up. âoh, well is she out here with you?â He nods, âyeah she is. sheâs probably out like a light, sleeping.â He snorts, âReally? She must nap a lotâodd combination, most busiest man in the world being with an always sleeping lady, how is that?â
You grin waiting for his answer, âI get by, sheâs a pretty sleeper.â You bury your face in your hands, âhaha, well we should let you go wake herâthatâs all folks, michael will see everyone on his first show tonight!â
He comes back to the hotel to find you awake, magazine wide open, coffee on the nightstand. âI stand corrected.â He teases, he immediately removes his jacket and shoes before hopping in bed with you. You smile, âmissed me?â he grins, âall the time, sleepyhead.â You peck his lips, and he pecks yours back silently begging for more kisses. You press a light kiss to his cheek before turning back to your magazine, âHey!â

( ˶°ă °) !! ââ0.8k, fluffy nsfw ) boob obsessed (bad era)!michael jackson x fem afab reader: your boyfriend loves fondling your boobs, especially while making love to you <3
cws: nsfw, mentions of a previous orgasm & rougher/angry (not angry with you but generally tense) sex prior, very soft dom!michael, boob sucking/play
âââââââall the stress he'd been carrying slowly melts away as he tucks himself deep inside of you, feeling your walls accept him without hesitation. with you and in you, he's always belonged; here, he doesn't have to worry about what others think, about the perfect note or how he missed a step during dance practice. here, all he has to focus on is you and the familiar sensation of your warmth...
it was only a few minutes ago that he was pounding into you like a dog in heat, frustration bleeding into his every action as he held your hips tight and fucked you senseless. now, one quick, hot orgasm later, he's far more gentle, moving carefully to ensure you feel loved and not used. with each tender thrust, the bed rocks like a small boat on a gentle but active sea. as passengers aboard that boat, you and michael rock with it, urging his dick ever so slightly deeper inside of you as a result. the slower pace is more sensual, allowing you to pick up on things you couldn't notice before: the wet. slapping sound that occurs whenever his hips meet yours, the light drag of his length against your walls as he pulls out, the way his curls hang like a black veil around his head, and how his eyes are staring reverently at your chest, just to name a few. a flash of pink darts out between his lips before he slides his hands up from your waist, letting his palms settle along their favorite spot, your breasts.
"mmm." you allow a soft, casual moan to leave your lips as michael begins to fondle your boobs, his large hands handling the softness of them as though they were made for this and this alone. his thumbs circle your nipples repeatedly as he continues on thrusting, toying with them until they grow stiff. "michael..."
his reply is immediate. "shh... it's okay. i know it feels good, baby." he leans himself forward, one hand moving aside so his mouth could replace it. "my sweet, beautiful baby," he murmurs against your tit, letting his teeth lightly grace your hardened nipple before he sucks down. michael can't help but enjoy how your back arches as he laps like a dog against the skin of your breast, flicking his tongue repeatedly as if to drink you down.
the work of his mouth, combined with his slow, lazy hip movements, causes your toes to curl, your pussy clenching and unclenching needily. "god, michael..."
"i love you too, mama," he coos, lifting his head just enough for you to see the small smile on his face. then, he delves back down towards your boobs. michael makes a purposefully loud and wet slurp-like noise as his tongue runs along your nipple once more, purring, "s'good. you always make everything better, don't you, baby? you're just so caring and attentive. so kind, letting me taste you, letting me love you. my angel."
though the pace is slow and drawn out, your second orgasm builds rather quickly, heat pooling again the more he sucks against your chest. your back lifts off the bed, arching your chest further into his mouth as you groan, "i'm close, baby."
"that's alright," he reassures you, shifting only to switch and begin licking your other breast, spreading his saliva all over your nipple. michael grins when he feels you finally let go, your moaning filling the air more beautifully than any of his songs. "there we go..." like the gentleman he is, he waits until you're not so sensitive to pull out, stroking his cock fervently as he presses a kiss down near your belly button. ropes of cum eventually spurt out of him, covering your thighs and mixing with your own cum as it dribbles out of your quivering hole.
feeling much better (and feeling properly spent), michael lets out a sigh of content, resting for a couple minutes before moving to clean you up. all you can do is watch from the bed as he slips into the bathroom to grab a towel.
you're still catching your breath as he comes out. even so, you sit up, reaching out for the towel, "i can clean myself, baby." across the room, his eyes narrow a bit at the idea, the pointed look effective in quieting you back down.
"don't be silly," michael says in reply, wiping your legs lightly before urging you to lay back down with one firm hand along your shoulder. the towel's set aside once he's done, left to sit as he crawls into bed beside you. slowly, he buries himself against your back, clinging onto you; his hands find your boobs again, of course, but it's no longer sexual. instead, it's something instinctive and unconscious, his palms gentle along them while he whispers, "i love you."
looking for more?
this is technically another boob obsessed mj piece but really i just wanted to write fluffy sex. he's so sweet and darling, here, just using slow thrusts and his eager mouth to bring you to your peak for a second time. also, sorry for posting so late yesterday! omg i was at work when i realized i hadn't posted, i have to start using the scheduled post feature LOL.
summary: when michael doesnât ask you to be his date to the grammys, you play a game to see what he wants.

confidence was something you had. that confidence led to you gracing the cover of magazines, having your face plastered on billboards, and being the face of so many brand campaigns.
outside of making a crazy amount of money and a big career for yourself. that confidence had also taken you far in your love life.
in fact, that's how you met one of your favorite âboyfriendsâ to date.
funny enough youâd been on a date when you met him.
a photographer from a shoot youâd done earlier that week had eyed you more with admiration than casual interest. it was when you were putting back on your casual shoes when heâd gathered the courage to ask you out. you agreed, he was handsome and funny after all. plus, he promised to make the date worth your wild.
and the date was worth your wild.
heâs taken you to one of the shows on the Jacksons â âtriumphâ tour. you immediately started to enjoy the date then, the Jacksons were responsible for one of your favorite albums ever. seeing them without even having to bring them up gave you overwhelming joyâŠ(you also didnât even have to pay to see them.)
your date must've had connections you didn't know about. right before the last song, a security guard tapped his shoulder. "Come on," he grinned, pulling you by the hand. "i got one more surprise."
before you could fully process it, you were standing behind the curtains, feeling the bass of the music under your feet. the final song ended, the crowd cheered, and the brothers jogged off stage one by one.
your date had stepped a few feet away from you, youâd notice heâd been talking to jackie jackson. now with the puzzle piece of how you ended up backstage in place, you leaned on the wall. smiling politely at each brother as they walked passed.
most of them nodded back and kept moving.
then one of them stopped.
he was less intimidating than you expected up close, but there was a presence to him that wasn't exaggerated. he looked at you with a curious look, like he was trying to remember where he knew you from.
"donât i know you?" he asked.
"you might," you shrugged. "do you read fashion magazines?"
there was a small second of silence. then he smiled, you'd seen it on television a hundred times, but it was overwhelming in person. "i think I've seen your face somewhere. vogue?"
"harper's bazaar. last month's cover."
he nodded slowly, still looking at you like he was piecing something together. "that explains it." he held out his hand. "michael."
you shook it, wanting to leave impression you rubbed your thumb over the back of his hand.
"I know."
he laughed, and didn't let go right away. "so who brought you here?"
you tilted your head toward your date, still deep in conversation with jackie. "him. photographer i worked with earlier this week."
michael's eyes flicked over, then back to you. "just a photographer?"
"a date."
he nodded letting that sit for a second. "is it going well?"
you smiled. "it was. now it's amazing."
that first conversation backstage turned into an two hours of talking. then a phone call the next day. then another. what started as him "needing clarity" became late-night conversations that turned into morning, him showing up at your shoots smiling in the corner completely obsessed with you, you being invited to the studio while he was recording.
neither of you had ever said what you were. but somewhere between the tour winding down and thriller taking over the world, you became each other's.
without the title.
it worked. until it didn't.
you were in front of the mirror in his hotel suite, adjusting your earring, when michael walked out of the bathroom in his statement jacket. he stopped, you felt his eyes linger for longer than you expected.
"you look..." He trailed off, like he didn't have the words.
"so do you," you said, and meant it.
he was quiet for a second. then: "you sure you don't want to go with me?"
you met his eyes in the mirror. "you asked me two days ago, michael."
"i know. i'm asking again."
"jackie asked me three weeks ago."
he sighed, running a hand over his face, careful not to mess his hair. "i didn't think you'd say yes to him."
"neither did I. but he asked." you turned around, soft but firm. "you waited too long."
he opened his mouth to argue, then stopped. Because you were right, and he knew it. heâd been nervous â not about you, but about what it would mean to show up with you. how the press would spin it. how it could change whatever this was between you.
and while he was overthinking, jackie acted.
in your case, this was a game.
you liked michael, you truly did and you knew he liked you too. itâs just the lack of a label was starting to annoy you. the two of you did relationship things, expecting each to be at each other's side and events. you were just seeing when heâd finally say something.
"so you're going with brooke," you said, smoothing his collar. it wasnât a question. you'd heard some mumblings about it when you accompanied michael to a family dinner of his just the other night.
he winced. "you know about that?"
"everyone knows about that." you smiled, kindly. "it's fine."
"it is?"
"michael." You held his gaze. "i know how you feel about me. one date with brooke shields isn't going to change that."
he looked at you for a long moment, something soft and relieved passing over his face. then he glanced at the clock. "we should head down."
"meet you in the lobby."
he paused at the door.
he looked over his shoulder. "jackieâs lucky," he said. "and he doesn't even know it."
you smiled. "go."
he left, and you let yourself laugh once the door closed. because the idea of michael jackson being jealous of jackie jackson over you was almost funny enough to make up for the fact that you were walking into the Grammys on the wrong arm.
the red carpet was a blur of flashing lights and shouting names. you walked in on jackie's arm, smiling for the cameras, playing the part, but your eyes kept drifting. finding him in the crowd. michael in that jacket, brooke shields beside him, the two of them stopping for photos every few feet.
amidst all the overwhelming nature of the red carpet, he caught you looking once. he fought back a smile as he looked at you too, wondering if you were thinking about him as much as he was thinking about you.
the ceremony itself was electric. when Thriller won album of the year, the whole room was on their feet. you were clapping, genuinely proud that his work was so well praised. michael turned from the stage, scanning the crowd until he found you. giving you the smallest nod.
the after-party was packed. people everywhere, the scent of champagne in the air. you'd lost jackie somewhere between the bar and the bathroom, which is how you ended up near the balcony with a man who offered you a drink.
that's when you saw him.
across the room, brooke had her hand on his arm, laughing at something someone said.
but michael wasn't looking at her.
He was looking at you with a expression you knew by now. it was one that said he was done pretending tonight was fine.
he started walking toward you.
you couldnât deny the smile that was appearing on your face, And the man standing beside you (some producer who'd been talking your ear off for the last five minutes) placed a hand on your lower back, leaning in to say something you didn't catch.
michael's eyes dropped to the hand. then back up to you.
you saw the look on his face change in the matter of seconds, while you didnât show it you wanted to smile. this could potentially turn into a jealousy overload.
the man spoke before either of you could. âmichael congrats man!â he cheered.
michael nodded polite and graciously before his eyes traveled back to you. âare you having fun?â he threw out.
you took a sip of the drink the man so generously gave you. âwho isnât?â you raised an eyebrow. âhad a nice date, enjoyed the ceremony, and got some good company.â you nudged the manâs arm.
michael fought the urge to scrunch his nose. âiâm sure that suite you have is going to be heaven by the end of the night.â
you couldnât help but to smile a bit at his words, it was a sly way to show a little glimpse of the relationship but it still wasnât enough.
lucky or unluckily for you a new guest was coming over to make an appearance, you watched as brown curls bounced as brooke made her way over to michael. you turned to the man next to you, not wanting to drag him in anymore than he already was.
âcould you get me some more champagne?â you flashed false flirtatious eyes at him.
he agreed walking away from the two of you just as brooke finally reached michael. your eyes immediately went to the hand sheâd put on his shoulder. âthere you areâ she smiled leaning into him.
âsorry i noticedâŠâ michael trailed off looking at you. âmy girlfriendâ was on the tip of his tongue, but your actual name flew out of his mouth before the title could.
brooke finally took her eyes off of him to straighten up at the sight of you. you just licked the corner of your mouth, trying to fight a laugh that came with the thought of finally getting michael to finally say the word.
she repeated your name with much surprise. âa fellow model.â She commented, defensively rubbing the bedazzled jacket of Michael.
you lifted your glass, raising it in a mock toast. "something like that." you laughed lightly.
brooke's smile tightened, leaning closer into michael, hand still on his jacket. "michael and I have been looking forward to this night for weeks."
"you have?" you looked at him, eyebrow raised.
michael opened his mouth, but brooke answered for him.
"the press was all over us tonight. everyone's been asking about us." she tilted her head.
"i'm sure you've heard."
"mhm." you nodded slowly feigning interest. "you two are a site for sore eyes."
brooke's confidence crumbled a bit at the comment. she turned to Michael, her hand sliding down to lace into his fingers. "I was thinking we would leave soon. find somewhere quieter, you know just the two of us."
michael looked at her hand. then at you.
you didn't say a word. You just looked into his eyes knowingly and took a step back toward the balcony.
"i'll leave you two to it," you said, already turning. "try to enjoy your night, brooke."
you walked out onto the balcony, the cool night air hitting your skin. you didn't look back.
you knew you didn't have to.
you leaned against the railing, counting under your breath.
one. two. thrâ
the door swung open behind you.
you heard footsteps, the michael's voice. "you have a crazy way of thinking."
you turned. he was standing there, alone.
"I thought you had company," you said.
"sheâs not who I want to be with tonight."
you tilted your head. "then who do you want to be with tonight, michael?"
he stepped closer. all the elements of the night starting to build up. the two of you not coming together, you playing coy with some man, how you handled brookeâs words.
"i think you know who."
you stared at him, heâd looked shy even saying that. it was cute, but your face read as unimpressed.
"i donât think i do."
âi want to be with you."
"say it again. properly."
he let out a breath â half laugh, half surrender. "i want to be with my girlfriend tonight."
you felt something warm bloom in your chest. "there it is."
he stepped closer reaching out for your hand, you took it playing stubborn. he looked into your eyes liking the title to what the two of you had now. liking the thought of being referred to as your boyfriend.
and while maybe someone would try to twist the relationship with later. he was confident in what the two of you had.
he just wished heâd said it earlier nowâŠ
âthe title is like a dash of clickbait, but the behaviors match i guess đ€·đŸââïž. I need to make a masterlist ASAP, I canât keep up with my stories nowđ

you were currently sitting in the bed with michael, watching some movie that you found oh so boring, but he begged you to watch it, and who were you to deny that handsome face? even though the tv was playing, your thoughts were drowning out all the noise.
you were staring. hard. you couldnât help but to look at his fingers, wishing that heâd stuff them in your mouth whileâ
âbaby, you alright?â
that soft, smooth voice cuts right through your nasty thought like a warm knife through butter.
your eyes drift up from his hands to his face, and you nod a little.. he smiles at you, and you gently rub his chest.. âmikey..â you softly says, kissing his cheek.
âyes, pretty?â he murmurs, his eyes staying on the tv and his mouth still fucking up that popcorn..
âyâknow.. how we have sex, nd stuff?â you reluctantly say..
he chuckles a bit.. â i know of it..â he says .. then his smirk drops a little.. â am i not pleasing you correctly?â he says, making your eyes widen..
âno!, no baby, you please me perfectly.. youâre just.. really gentle with me.. you act like iâm made of glass or something..â you say, pouting a little.
âthatâs cus you are made of glass in my eyes, angel..â he says, his eyes trailing back to the tv..
you look at him, and softly sigh at his sweet response. you loved how genuine and kind he was, but you really really wanted more..
âi know, mikey, but have you ever thought about being a little rougher in bed?â you say, looking at him
ârougher? oh no, mama. i couldnât even imagine being rough with you. i donât think iâll ever be able to do it.â he mindlessly says, rubbing your thigh.
all your dreams and hopes seem to crash down, and your face falls a little.. you curl into him, and give up on the conversation for now, but you were gonna get what you wanted, and soon.
it had been about a week since you talked to michael about being rougher in bed. you guys had sex once during that time period, it was great, but he was still gentle, and it wasnât scratching that itch for you..
itâs a wednesday afternoon, and the sun in shining through the blinds. youâre sitting on the couch, flipping through tv channels, when michael storms in, looking pissed off.
âwhatâs wrong, baby?â you say, still flipping through the channels.
he plops down next to you, his eyes dark with anger.. âsome new producer person, or whatever he was, he was in the studio today, and said my vocals sound horrible. can you believe how ignorant that is, can you, baby?â he says, folding his arms over his chest.
you start to comfort him, then your mind flickers back to your dirty thought about your oh so sweet boyfriend fucking you dumb, and you smile a little..
âwell, maybe he wasnât lying.â you retort, still looking at the tv.
michaelâs expression flickers for a quick second, and he turns to look at you. âexcuse me?â he says, he jaw clenching.
âiâm just saying, baby. maybe you didnât sound the best today.â you mutter..
âso you think i sound horrible?â
âi mean.. i wouldntââ you start, but remember your plan.. âyea. thatâs why i donât listen to your music. i hate it.â you mutter, lying straight through your teeth jus for some dick.
for a moment, there was silence. then, the remote was snatched out of your hand. before you could say anything, you were being dragged by your arm to yâallâs bedroom. you smile a little, hearing his pissed off muttering.
âdone lost your damn mind.. talking to me like that. oughta teach you some respect.â he hisses, pushing the bedroom door open with more force than necessary.
he practically pushed you onto the bed, and by this point, you were soaking wet..
âoff, take all that shit off.â he commands in a low mutter, not even looking at you as he slips his loafers off..
âno.â you defiantly respond, crossing your legs.
he looks at you, his jaw tight and his eyes are thin slits of anger. âiâm not playing with you. take your clothes off. now.â he says, pointing at you with a long, straight finger.
you look at him, and you start to strip.. you slowly lift your shirt, irritating him even further. he walks over to you, pushing your hands away and ripping you shirt in half with surprising strength. he tugs your pants down..
âon your knees.â he says.
you shake your head.. âno. why should i?â you says, the bratty tone in your voice driving him crazy.
he grabs your hair, forcing you to look at him..
âbecause i said so.â he growls, gripping your face with his other hand
you kneel infront of him, looking up at him. he unzips his pants, letting them fall before he pulls out his heavy length, letting it rest on your temple, right between your eyes.
ânasty ass girl. gettin me rowled up like this.â he mutters, stroking himself against your face.
you pout, acting like you donât want it, knowing damn well that you NEED this.
âopen. stick out your tongue, lemme see it.â he murmurs..
you slowly open your mouth, sticking your tongue all the way out.. michael slowly thrusts his dick in your mouth, his tip hitting far back in your throat.. you try to pushes at his thigh, but he grabs both your wrists with one hand.
âdonât touch me. just take this dick down your throat.â he hisses. his head tilts back and he starts thrusting a little faster, enjoy the feeling of his tip being constricted by your throat.
you whine around him, and his free hand tugs at your hair as a warning .. he bites his lip, grinding his hips into a circle..
âfuckkk..â he groans out, gripping your head and holding it tight..
he only pulls away when you gag, loosening his grip on your head, and slowly pulling his dick out your throat.. you pant, staring up at him.
he pulls you up by your arm, and throws you on the bed.. he rips your victoriaâs secret panties off of you..
âthose were my favââ you try, but getting cut off by the sound of his mean voice.
âshut up. mânot trying to hear that.â he says, spreading you legs.. he pushes them up and back, making your knees touch your perky tits.
âbut theyâre my favorite, you ripped them..â you whined, trying to get a rise out of him.
âwhat did i just say?â he says, smacking your inner thigh. he reaches into his top drawer, looking through it for a moment, then he pulls out his favorite thing ever ever. the pink wand vibrator stares back at you when you glare at it.
he looks at you, and positions himself at your entrance. he slips in, and at the same time, he turns on the vibrator and presses it directly on your clit, making you let out a loud moan.
âgrab it. donât take it off your pussy, âm not playin.â he murmurs, pushes the handle into your hand.. he bites his lip and he starts giving you deep, nasty strokes..
his right hand travels up to your throat, holding.. his thrusts start to get rougher and harder, to the point where heâs pounding into you..
you struggle to hold the vibrator to your pussy..
ânngh! canât take bothhh!â you whimper, your toes already curling..
âyou asked for this, baby, this is what you wanted. take it, stop complaining.â he muttered, his eyes shutting for a second when you clench around him.. he pushes your legs farther back towards your shoulders and bites his lip.. he picks up the pace, slamming into you with wild abandon.
â oh mâgosh y-yessâ michael!â you whined, your eyes rolling back when he hits that good spot on your back walls⊠you look up at him, but for some reason, his focus was on your stomach.. you look down, and you see the bulge of his cock, everytime heâd thrust inside.
he presses his hand against your abdomen, feeling his dick inside.. âso deep inside this wet, sloppy pussy. mhmm.â he hisses, his eyes fluttering shut .. he wraps both hands around your throat while he fucks you into the mattress
you felt like you could barely take it, you were finally getting what you were asking for.. you press the vibrator down harder on your clit, and at the same time, michael hits your spot hard. he couldâve sworn he seen your eyes cross.
âsâfuckingoodâmike donât stoppp, sâdeepp, ohmygoshh..â you slur, your legs trembling a little.
he smirks a little and grinds at the end of every thrust.
âc-choke me harder..â you babble, your toes curling and vision blurring a bit.
he looks at you, and he could tell you really wanted it. he reluctantly tightens his grip around your neck, and your pussy tightens up as well..
âf-fuck yes! nngh! mâso close!â you moan out, your breath hitching in your throat.
âyeah? you wanna cum? beg for it.â he says, slowing down his thrust to a barely there rock..
ânonono, baby please! needa cum! let me cum around y-your dick!â you beg, tears coming to your eyes after being denied an orgasm. the vibrator was still buzzing against your clit, but you needed the both of them to have the orgasm you wanted..
âdo you deserve it? hm? do you deserve to cum around me?â he coos, grabbing your face with one hand and smushing your cheeks together.
you nod, looking up at him with teary eyes.. âuh huh..â you manage to get out.. he pushes your head back onto the mattress, and starts fucking you dumb again.
you bite your lip, and your eyes start to roll back.. he shifts to turn up the vibrator, then keeps going.
âoh god! oh god mikey, âm soo close!â you gasp, holding the vibrator with both hand.. michael chokes you again, nd your vision blurs.
your back starts to arch, and your legs tremble harder. â hnngh fuckk! mikey imââ you try, but he cuts you off.
âi know, baby.. mikey knows..â he coos, thrusting into you faster..
âmikey yesss!â you whined, the heat in your lower stomach exploding as you start you squirt your juices all over his dick.
âohh shittt..â he hisses, getting closer once he feels you clench and release all over him. you start to take the vibrator off your clit.
âunt unt, i said keep it there, put it back on your clit, girl.â he growls. you comply, and your body jerks a little.. your pussy spasms more and lets out more squirt.
â ohh fuckk.. mmhm.. iâm cummin in this pussy.. cummin in my pussy..â he groans, giving three deep thrusts before holding himself deep inside you, releasing all in your wombâŠ
you whimper, and he finally allows you to turn the vibrator off.. you lay there, completely cockdrunk..
âwas that good for you, baby? was it rough enough? did i hurt you?â he says, propping himself up on his elbow next to you, and stroking your hair.
âsâgood, mikey.. should do that more often..â you sleepily mutter, giggling a little.
âdo you really hate my music?â
âcourse not.. just said that so you could fuck me..â
â youâre nasty..â
and those were that last words you spoke to each other before you slumped against his chest and fell straight asleep.

ToxicBf!Jermajesty whoâs actively trying not to lose his shit. He knows exactly how you left the house an hour ago, and it wasnât like that. You came home in a pair of sweats, a baggy t-shirt, and your hair makes it seem like you got jumped between then and now. That isnât what set him off, no. It was the bruises littering your neck.
âY/n⊠What. The fuck. Is that?â
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who nearly bursts a blood vessel when you play stupid.Â
âWhat are you talking about Maj?â
âNah.â
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who crosses the room in .2 seconds, and points a finger at your neck. He looks at you expectantly, but you stand your ground and deny that thereâs even anything there. Jermajesty is nothing BUT extra, so he tells you to wait right there while he goes to get something.
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who returns with a floor length mirror and a flashlight. He holds the mirror steady in one hand, and shines the light right over the obvious hickeys on your skin.
âThat, y/n. What the fuck is that?â
âOhh, that. Nothinâ, Baby, just burnt myself at Kayâs house.
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who thinks for a minute, seriously wondering if YOU think heâs an idiot. When he decides that you must, Jermajesty takes the mirror back to the bedroom. Heâs gone for a minute, and all you can hear is what sounds to be things flying against the wall. You stifle a laugh as you hear him curse under his breath.
âFive fuckinâ years and she just strolls in like this shit funnyââ
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who is back there is spiraling. Still knocking things around in the room. Youâre unsure of what heâs doing. Actually, youâre praying he isnât destroying the place. It getâs harder to keep composure as he devolves faster.
âWhat happened to you Maj?â He asks in a mocking tone, to no one in particular.
âOh nun, lost my bitch to a lame. Just another Tuesday.â
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who finally comes out of the room, and when he does, you lose it. He has almost everything you own bunched up in his arms. He stomps right past you and drops it all at the front door. Jermajesty doesnât look at you, just brushes past without so much of a word.
When Jermajesty returns with the remainder of your things, he finds you laughing. An unhinged cackle that rings through your shared apartment. There are tears in your eyes and you're bent over struggling to breathe. He tries his hardest not to crash out right then and there
âMaj, babyââ
He whips his head from left to right, and then spins in a circle as if he's actually trying to find something.
âBaby? Baby who? Get the fuck out my house.â
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who normally would never talk to you like this, but heâs just about lost every bit of respect he had for you. When he sees you arenât laughing anymore, he kisses his teeth. You take a step toward him, and he ducks you like you have the plague. You laugh again, this time in disbelief. You have this man all the way fucked up. Still, this is your man, and you know heâs far past the point of talking about anything right now.
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who watches you like a hawk as you stalk toward the kitchen and grab a paper towel. You run it under the water, and bring it to your throat. A few swipes later, and your eviction notice has vanished. Jermajestyâs eyes harden and his jaw sets tight as he takes a few deep breaths to steady himself.
âThat shit ainât funny, y/n.â
âIt was just a joke Maj. Mia thought it would be funny, and it wasâ
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who glares at you for a solid two minutes, wondering how to deal with your ass. He moves slowly, coming to stand in front of you before speaking.
âSince you wanna be funny, Iâll be hilarious. Take your ass in the room.â
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who has been edging you for the past two hours now. Heâs feeding you the meanest backshots. Deep stroke after deep stroke with no end in sight. Sweat pearls on your skin, and the fire in your belly burns hot. Thereâs a tremble in your form that Jermajesty finds to be absolutely delicious. Heâs determined to teach you a lesson, but this is bordering on torture.
âYou gonâ learn not to play with me, ma.â
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who only lets you cum once tears are rolling down your eyes and you can no longer hold yourself up. His fingers find your neglected clit, and he rubs dangerous figure eights over the swollen nub until youâre screaming. Your release gushes over his fat cock as he drives into you like a madman. He chases his own peak desperately, and when the band finally snaps, he holds you still until every last drop stuffs you full.
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who kisses your shoulder and tells you how good you were. His hands caress your body that will surely ache by the time the sun rises. He makes sure you know how much he loves you, and then rolls off the bed.
Your head pops off the pillow after registering that heâs left your presence. Just as you go to stand, he reenters the room with your things heâd discarded earlier. Among them, you notice something missing.
âMaj, whereâs Mr. Wiggles?â You ask tiredly, yawning in the process.
âCloset.â He mumbles, determined to avoid eye contact.
ToxicBf!Jermajesty who would never admit out loud that he was one-hundred percent going to keep that stuffed bear.
Jermajesty was trying his hardest to behave around your family and you werenât making it easy for him. his eyes hardly ever left you, even when both of you were pulled in various directions by different members of your family for different reasons, and his hands would linger on you, specifically on your waist or hips â and whenever you were called by someone and forced to leave his side, heâd give you a gentle squeeze before letting you go.
he honestly felt like he couldnât help himself. you looked so pretty in your sundress that he couldnât help but to imagine hiking it up around your waist and burying his face between your thighs to eat you out, or even bending you over and fisting the garment so it wouldnât be in his way as he stroked you deeply. the color of it was so damn beautiful on you and gave your melanated skin such a precious glow that had him yearning to just feel you and kiss you all over.
there was one moment where Jermajestyâs composure almost slipped, and it was when you bent over and dug into a cooler to find a cluster of those barrel juices for your younger cousins. he wasnât trying to stare at you while you did it, but the position you were in had your breasts pushing against the neckline of your dress and made your cleavage pop out more, and the mere sight of them made his breathing hitch.
that wasnât the worse part of it, though â it was when you had to dig deeper into the cooler underneath all of the excess ice because you couldnât find enough juices and you had to bend over just a little bit more, which put a small arch in your back and made your dress slightly outline the curve of your ass.
he almost lost his damn mind looking at you like that, and in order for him to lessen his chances of getting an erection in such an inappropriate environment, he had to quickly direct his attention to something else â it didnât stop his jaw from clenching, though. luckily, nobody noticed his tension, or the way he ogled you, including you.
you were completely oblivious to the battle Jermajesty was internally fighting, and it only made him fight it harder. even the chaste sound of you calling him âbabyâ had him taking deep breaths to keep his blood from rushing straight down to his dick â but what ultimately cracked his composure is when you unintentionally pressed your ass into his crotch while the two of you were standing by and watching members of your family light up fireworks.
the tension in his body had reached its limit and you could tell by the way he had went completely still behind you, but you didnât understand why he was so tense to begin with until he had practically dragged you away from the backyard and into the nearest bathroom inside your momâs house, making you hope no one saw the two of you disappear even though everyone was occupied with either lighting fireworks or dancing to iconic blues songs that were played at every family gathering.
the moment Jermajesty pulled you into the bathroom and the door closed behind you, he didnât let you get a word out before his mouth was on yours, kissing you feverishly yet desperately all at once. because you were unaware of his internal battle, the intensity of the kiss completely caught you off guard and cause you to stumble back into the bathroom door, but it didnât stop you from melting into it.
once you kissed him back, you heard a soft sound emit from his vocals, the noise coming out as a whimper-like whine, and your hands moved to cradle the sides of his face as Jermajesty clutched your hips for dear life, his fingertips slightly digging into the fat of them while he pressed his body closer to you.
âiâm sorry⊠mâsorryâŠâ Jermajesty whispered pathetically into the kiss before pulling back and looking down at you, your dazed eyes finding his intense eyes almost immediately, âfuck, iâm sorry, mama, i jusââ i need you so bad.â
ââMajââ
âplease, baby,â Jermajesty pleaded softly as he pressed soft kisses along your jaw before lowering his head into the crook of your neck, continuing his kisses there while one of his hands left your hips to lock the door, âplease let me have you. i promise iâll be quick. please, maâŠâ
Jermajesty wasnât really the begging type, and if he did beg, itâd always be in a playful kind of way, so to hear him genuinely yearn for you like this while kissing all over your neck had you soaking the seat of your panties quicker than you expected to â which ultimately led to you being bent over the bathroom counter and your wet underwear being pushed to the side.
he held your underwear to the side with one hand as he fisted the hem of your sundress and held it against the middle of your back with his other hand, your hands bracing themselves against the counter in anticipation for the fullness you were about to feel.
the moment he pushed inside of you, your jaw dropped and a soft gasp fell from your lips, but before any other sound could come out, his hand had quickly covered your mouth to muffle them, which only earned a whimper from you in response.
his other hand maintained its tight grip on your dress as he slid deeper and deeper inside of you, his bottom lip tucked between his teeth while his head lowered to rest against your shoulder.
âyou feel so fuckinâ goodâŠâ Jermajesty moaned raggedly against your shoulder, his brows furrowing a little, as he buried himself to the hilt and a sharp exhale fell from his lips before he tucked his face into the crook of your neck, trying his hardest to muffle his own sounds from how good your pussy felt wrapped around him.
Jermajestyâs thrusts were deep and steady, sinking in and pulling back with a moderate tempo that wasnât fast enough to create unwanted skin-slapping sounds that would give you away yet it had you clutching the counter for dear life.
your eyes rolled back into your head and you moaned pathetically into the palm of his hand as tingles spread throughout your body and a rhythmic thumping formed in your clit, your brows pinching together tightly while your body rocked with each push of your boyfriendâs hips.
both of you were fighting internally to keep your noises down and to a minimum, but neither of you could help the moans that the pleasurable act would occasionally pull from your vocal cords. you desperately hoped that none of your family members had realized you were gone, but you were hoping more than ever that nobody came to the bathroom where the two of you were.
suddenly, both of Jermajestyâs arms wrapped around your waist and held you tightly against him as he started fucking into you at a more rapid pace, a broken gasp of surprise falling from your lips the moment skin-slapping started to echo throughout the bathroom.
âbaby, y-youâ oh, fuuuuck,â you whined, your jaw going slack for a second time, as one of your hands left the counter and tightly clung to his arms, trying to tug and slap at them to gesture for him to slow down and let you go, âw-we gottaâ be quiet, âMajâ, you c-canâtââ
âmmh, iâm a-almost there, mama, pleaseâŠâ Jermajesty moaned against your neck, tightening his hold on you, as he continued his quick thrusts and felt your ass bounce against his pelvis, a deep groan falling from his lips once he felt your walls start to spasm around his dick, âshit, i feel you, baby, câmon. cum on this dick fâme, pretty, give it to me. cum witâ me, ma.â
you parted your lips to protest against his quickened thrusts, but a cry of pleasure fell from your open mouth instead as your orgasm rushed through you and you came on his dick like he commanded, your head slumping forward and your eyes rolling back while your hips jerked. your own climax triggered Jermajestyâs and his arms squeezed you for a final time as his hips stuttered twice before deeply pushing forward, his body shuddering while he came deep inside you.
you gasped softly at the sensation and your body stiffened for a moment before relaxing into his, soft and heavy pants falling from both of your lips in unison while the two of you came down from your orgasms. Jermajestyâs arms loosened around your waist but didnât move any further than that, and he pressed a soft kiss against the side of your neck before raising his head towards your ear.
âletâs go home. iâm not done witâ you yet, mama.â
