Art Supplies-
Digital: I don’t main digital art so take with a grain of salt I mostly scan stuff and add in digital elements
ms paint (free tad bit difficult to make pretty)
Adobe photoshop (not free learning curve you also need a lot of storage for it to function properly and a tank of a computer) (but can pretty much do everything outside of just drawing)
Wacom tablet (not free but very smooth I’ve only ever had problems with connection things)
- cool paper texture website
Traditional: I’m mainly a rough illustrator I draw everywhere I go so this is what I usually carry
highlighters (cheaper markers + everywhere + it takes forever for me to run out and I use them pretty much everyday) best brands- Stabilo, Sharpie
Writing Tools-
Google Docs (free but steals your information amongst other things)
Calmly Writer (15 USD fee but after that you have the license, honestly I really love it, it did delete my files one time but I think that was user error)
Ellipsus (free but you can also pay for it, haven’t used it that much but I’ve heard good things, anti generative ai)
Scrappy throwaway notebook you aren’t using for work anyways (great 100000/10 only thing is that pencil smudges and ink smears and also that’s the only copy)

WOW a lot has happened in life lol! It's def been a minute since I've drawn ANYTHING, but good news is I actually am doing artfight this year and have actually finished some pieces already!! In celebration I'm going to be adding onto this post throughout the month with the pieces I've made! Glad to be back and hope to draw much much more

If there a single zine application out there where they don't ask you to be a professional artist or to write down what you want to draw/write before even getting accepted into the zine? Since when zines have become so fucking curated? Zines started as a way for everyone to share their word and art, not just the "good ones". Give back zines their real meaning or just don't call them zines at all
There’s a couple free entry zine events I know of!! (they accept all skill levels + mediums)
I’ve been in a couple and they are really good! Really patience and managed well. Dot zines has a massive zine rn and everything is running pretty smoothly
I think you need to fill out a google form to apply to double check the rules/expectations of the events
