There is a certain grain to the soul that feels like crumbling stone. A texture of skin that merges with the texture of time, where the edges of the body begin to blur, leaving behind nothing but a vibration. It isn’t waiting; it’s persistence. Sometimes, space tightens until it becomes a single suspended note. A silent murmur etched into limestone, a wordless command floating in the air like a dust mote in a low beam of light. Listening no longer happens with the ears, but with the eyes - a gaze that cuts through walls to fathom the fertile void. Warmth is no longer a temperature; it is a shield. A layer of knit and cotton trying to hold onto whatever part of the self is seeking to evaporate. One becomes the crossroads where porcelain fragility meets the hardness of a wall that has seen too much, heard too much. In this golden haze, identity fades into atmosphere. One is no longer a name, but the breath held just before a voice tears through the tissue paper of silence. The echo of a voice that hasn't yet chosen its tone - the shadow of a thought that prefers remaining a secret over becoming a word. This is where life truly happens: in the interval, in the grain, in the imperceptible.
