The action takes place years after the destruction of Szorlok. A new evil threatens the world, and new heroes will rise to combat it. According to other sources, the events unfold 19 years after Szorlok's fall. The people of Deira drove the Vitalians from their land, but the country remained lawless and disorganized. After the death of the gods, magic gradually faded from the world, and all traces of mages and wizards vanished, but Szorlok's magic did not vanish into oblivion. A new evil is growing over the world, and new heroes will confront it.
