"Why is it you are careening around the castle at top speed?" And furthermore the unspoken question of what he was doing there.

“Gotta admit you left yourself wide open for it, Your Majesty. Besides, given how much you talk about the length of your sword, I thought you were already playing that game.”

Gaius gave a light snort, "And you referenced the size of my demon fang killing you confidence as I recall. So it appears it truly is you who adores innuendos."

We all roleplay because we want to roleplay, and interacting is a big part of that, but some of us need the reminder that it’s okay to talk to someone!

‘What the hell time is it? Half-past four?! ____, go back to sleep!’  ‘Honeybunch, if you steal all of the covers one more time, you’ll get my ice-cold feet in your face.’ ‘Good morning, ___. I’m so happy that you slept so well, considering how your snoring kept me awake all night.’  ‘— You climbed into my bed, hugged me around the middle, and pleaded with me to save you from the Boogeyman. Yes, you were that drunk.’ ‘Why are you still awake? Do you want to get some warm milk together?’  ‘How is it that you go to sleep curled up like a kitten, and yet somehow always manage to wake up star-fished across the majority of the bed?’  ‘Budge up, will you? The whole idea of a king-sized bed is that we’re both supposed to fit in it.’ ‘I love you so much, my darling, but I love your habit of staring, wide-eyed, at me in your sleep decidedly less.’  ‘Will you please turn off your phone, love? Or at least set it to silent? I’m trying to sleep here.’  ‘I just— I just felt like something was pushing me down, and I couldn’t move at all! Nightmares are really horrible.’  ‘Love? Love, wake up. I think I just heard a noise downstairs.’  ‘Honey, did you turn the light off in the living-room before you crashed out here? I’m trying to save electricity, you know.’  ‘Baby, it’s okay. I won’t let the nasty butterflies hurt you, I promise.’  ‘This bed is far too narrow for the both of us. I’ll practically have to sleep on you.’  ‘Oh my gosh, your feet are cold, sweetie! Do you need another blanket?’  ‘You can’t be serious about wearing that to bed.’  ‘Work can wait until the morning, pumpkin. You’re exhausted. Come on, up to bed.’  ‘I just really love you and had to wake you up to tell you.’  ‘Get off of me, I’m trying to have a lie-in. Honestly.’ ‘And where do you think you’re going, hmm? Come back here. I’m not done with cuddling you, I’m afraid.’  ‘Quit bouncing on our bed, you’ll break the springs!’  ‘Did you just — fall out of bed, love? You alright?’  ‘Yes, you make a very scary ghost, darling. Now, how about you stop walking around dressed in our sheet and actually help me make the damn bed?’  ‘You know, this bed is most definitely perfect for more than just sleeping.’ ‘Oh, this means war! Pillow incoming, jackass!’  ‘You know, I could spend forever like this. Snuggling you under all of these covers.’  ‘Come to bed with me, ____. Let’s just be together, tonight.’  ‘I love you, ____. I know you’re already asleep & can’t hear me anymore, but I mean it anyway.’  ‘Goodnight, darling. Sleep tight.’

“Y’know, far be it from me to tell Your Majesty how to run his fan club. If immediate delivery of the payload is your thing, you’re right on target.”

"No--not like that at all. What is with you and innuendos?"

“Issue with you, huh?” She waved a hand. “As if I’d have a problem with a king that just takes breaks from his duties to play knight in shining armor–or, rather, a drunk knight in shining armor–off in a different country.”

"So you do have a problem with me. It is obvious from your posture right down to your tone." Gaius commented folding his arms and sitting back. Still her words did nothing to break through his mental armor.
