people can   &   will be selective when following / interacting / friending people   !!   it’s human nature, to select your friends irl   &   the same goes for the rpc. just because someones states they are SELECTIVE, it doesn’t mean they don’t like you. it doesn’t mean they don’t want to interact with you. selectivity isn’t something that’s meant to OFFEND you ; rpers are selective for comfort reasons   &   the fact that a dozen of the blogs that frequently complain about selectivity in community x or community y are usually the ones that reblog every single junk post they come across, without tagging it appropriately for those that don’t wish to see it, isn’t helping at all. nobody’s asking you to come up with super fancy tags or cheesy lines for each one of them but leaving EVERYTHING entirely untagged   &   reblogging long posts, often unrelated to your muse isn’t willing people to follow you.
