sorry for not having anything to post lately! as a little update, the health situation is quite bad aaaas usuuaall. im surviving (and finally gaining weight yayy!!) but my ulcerative colitis is severe, and the treatment i tried is having really bad side effects that weren't predicted (blood pressure is absolutely fuuuucked) so im working on that rn! also im very busy with a project atm, im excited for you to see it, but it's still a secret so i can't discuss it yet. i just haven't had much time to draw cuz of all that.

so, many apologies for the throwaway account! i am being stalked by the abuser in question and we live in the same home so please understand i cannot use my main account...!

but, hi. its me. the seal. i am in the process of removing my abuser from my home and this is just assistance in making sure I can pay rent and have a place to stay while i am waiting to get hired somewhere and get checks coming in. she uses her rent payment as an excuse to feel like she can treat me poorly and I am...at my limit, genuinely...! i am just stuck until I can pull ahead. its been like this for years and honestly I'm ready to go no contact and move on with my life...!

(person who is old enough to find genuine interest in what people do to make a living LOL but no worries if that's too invasive of a question for you to answer comfortably~ just hope you're doing well!)

THANK YOU!!! <3 distribution is up to my client once the project is complete, i don't think the distribution method is set in stone yet (a lot has changed in 3 years lol) but i'll certainly share their links when it's finished! :] in the meantime they gave me the go-ahead to share wips as well as stream progress, so you can see bits and pieces of it, no problem! here's a random bit i like. the critter with 3 eyes is easily my favorite to draw in this project :P

and no worries, i'm not secretive about my job! i struggled around for a few years failing miserably at various desk jobs; im very limited with what i can do since i'm disabled. BUT! now i have a work from home position as a customer service guy. it sounds "meh" at best, but im happy to say that i genuinely love my job! it's related to the medical field, so it feels like the work has meaning to me, and the ppl i work with are wonderful and super queer-friendly.

plus, i work a unique schedule in which i work very long shifts for 7 days in a row including weekends/holidays - and then after that, I get 7 days off. rinse and repeat, 7-on 7-off. it works wonderfully for me since i have trouble resting before/after work, and the extended time off makes it much easier to travel and visit friends. :) and yes it does count as a full-time job even with the many days off, lol. i feel super fortunate despite not being able to work in the art field, but the art field (both freelance/indie and otherwise) looks really bleak at the moment. for the time being, i'm happy enough just working on smaller projects on my own and with clients and creative groups ^^

i would LOVE to open comms when i can, its always such a joy to draw ppl's ocs especially, but it may be a few more months due to other art i owe first! ^^'' i've got some adopts with a deadline coming up soon, a zine i gotta do a few pages for, and. oh boy. the main reason. i owe a 50-ish page comic comm from a LOOONG WHILE AGO! i'm pretty deep into it though and the commissioner is an incredibly kind and understanding person, so i'm on the home stretch with it - still, though, I've opted not to take on any more commissions until i have the comic done for them because i dont want them to wait any longer than they already have. we gettin there though, we gettin there!!!!

basically the proper answer about when ill open comms is "whenever i'm done with this" which im hoping will be sooner rather than later, but i can't give a definitive date at the moment!

atm i'd say the best thing to do if youre interested is to follow my vgen and get pings for when i open em up ^^ pls know that i plan on revamping the options/prices/examples when i hop back on there, so it's very subject to change!
