A game I've had in early access got its 1.0 release recently: Ova Magica! A combination farm life sim/creature battler. In this game you raise, breed, and battle creatures called Blobs on your farm. They come in many varieties, and you can breed them together to create new ones, mixing and matching different parts to get the blob of your dreams. Some blobs are good at battling, while others can help you on your farm or with other aspects of life.
On top of the blob stuff, there are also a bunch of befriend-able/romance-able characters each with a story and character arc they go through as you get to know them. The writing in this game is surprisingly good, making you hate some characters while your heart aches for others. Characters who seem one-note early on may surprise you with unexpected depth as you get to know them.
Despite its cute look the game doesn't shy away from topics like death, depression, abandonment, illness, addiction, and other mature topics, but it doesn't go so far as to ruin the cozy vibe overall (characters will generally get a happy ending).
