“I’ve been called a lizard 5 times in the past week, do I really look that bad?”

“ Well, I wouldn’t say a lizard...” How does someone even acquire that title? From 5 different people no less.

“Are lizards a big thing in Japan? Why does everyone keep talking about lizards?”

“ Unless large monstrous ones count, I’d say they’re just as common as any other species here. ”

“Hello Mister! How are you doing today?” The small redhead smiled and looked up at the detective. “You look so cool!”

Naoto chuckled softly. “ You think so? That’s very sweet of you.”  It’d probably bad to tell her that she’s really a 17 year old high school student. Instead of being cool, she’d probably be quickly considered crazy.

“Naoto, would you please come here?” Mitsuru rested her arm on Naoto’s shoulder while standing next to her in line. “Much better.”

“I love the fact that you are short! It’s adorable!” Mitsuru exclaimed as she hugged the tiny detective. “I am sorry that I made you an arm rest…”

“ It may be adorable to you, but to me it’s just another disadvantage that I’m stuck with for the rest of my life. ” The slightest tint of red spread across the detective’s face as Mitsuru wrapped her arms around Naoto’s small body. “  I suppose I accept your apology... So long as you don’t do it again, that is. ”

“Naoto, would you please come here?” Mitsuru rested her arm on Naoto’s shoulder while standing next to her in line. “Much better.”

“D-Does it really bother you that much?” Mitsuru was wary of the tiny detective’s rage. “My apologies…” 

“ I think it’d bother every ‘small’ person if they were being used as a substitute for an armrest. I can’t help the fact that I’m short.” She wished she could make herself even a bit taller.

“Naoto, would you please come here?” Mitsuru rested her arm on Naoto’s shoulder while standing next to her in line. “Much better.”

“Why, yes, you are at the perfect height for me. I hope you don’t mind?”

“Not espeically, but if this becomes a new habit of yours it could become quite annoying;;”

“Naoto, would you please come here?” Mitsuru rested her arm on Naoto’s shoulder while standing next to her in line. “Much better.”

“Are... Are you using me as an armrest...?”

“You like my style? W-Well I don’t have any impact or choice on what I wear. Honestly my stylists get the credit for that compliment.”

“I assure you, you will never want to go shopping again.” Naoto was surely in for a ride if she was going to take Mitsuru shopping. Probably very entertaining, and super embarrassing for Mitsuru. 

“I’ll be there to help you, okay? We’ll go through this experience together. If it happens to get... too bad, then we can just leave.” There would come a time when Mitsuru would have to dress herself anyways. She can’t rely on her stylists forever.
