They sneer and make little comments behind your back but are sweet to your face, and you never pay attention to it until one day they see John Price, a man over six feet tall and could be mistaken for a bear give you a soft kiss.

They always stand together looking like a cutout of a doll with pointed noses from surgery and being snooty, it's obvious they're old and bitter, having their children later in life.

You knew you're happy married, to a wonderful man who takes his role as husband and dad very seriously, so serious enough that he catches wind of those squawking moms.

Cue you standing there on your phone waiting on your daughter only to feel a familiar heavy warmth wrap around your waist. "Hi, love."

John's raspy drawl made you shiver and turn in his arms to hug him tightly. "She is going to be so happy to see her daddy! What are you doing here?" You asked holding his arm.

"I hope she isn't the only one happy to see her daddy. Got some time off to come pick up my princess and check in on her pretty mum."

That draws an affectionate smile that drowns John in a tender warmth because only he can pull that from you. "Mrs. Price?! Mrs. Price!?"

A gaggle of women preening themselves like birds came closer as you stood in your husband's embrace. "This must be Mr. Price!" One gushed and fluffed her hair up.

"The one and only married to the wonderful Mrs. Price, mother of my children." His hand comes to rest on your belly while kissing yiue head when the bell rang out loudly.

All the women stared down at his massive palm and burned with jealousy at how John scooped up his daughter and looked at you.
