                               𝐠𝐚𝐳𝐞     𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬     𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧     𝐡𝐞𝐫     𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤   ,                       with     a     particular     fondness     yet     a     percentage     of     fear   .                         several      had      fallen   ,                     carrie     herself     had     fought     the     orphans     and     scarcely     gotten     away   .                   arms     wrap     tightly     around      herself   ,                          ‘       much     like     your     pack   ,                     i’d     assume   ,       ’                     she      sends      the     girl      a      smile   ,                   ‘       they’re     family   .       ’

he’d     missed     her .             missed     the     girl     who     didn’t     remember     him     more     than     anyone     else     in     beacon     hills .             but     he     knew     she     was     better     off     without     him     there .                ａｎｄ     ｙｅｔ         ． ． ．    

he’d     been     left     with     nothing .             no     family     ,             no     home     ,         no     pack .                 so     he     returned     to     the     only     home     he’d     ever     known .             beacon     hills .                 gentle     sigh     sounds     as     he     walks     familiar     streets     ,             eyes     falling     upon     the     girl     he     missed     so     dearly     and     preparing     his     broken     heart     to     be     forgotten     once     more .

memories           falling        between   the   cracks   of   her   fragile   mind.        when   bone        curved    into   limb             &              fur   shed   to   flesh,             thorns   rose   up   to               protect        her   from   the   guilt   clawing   its   way   out   of   her   stomach.             it   was   time   that       allowed        her   to   blossom,          allowing   herself   to   look   for   the       snippets          of   a   past   she’d   forgotten.     a   bundle   of   tiny   clothes,       scribbled        drawings         of   a   child,         pictures   in   a   box.      how   could   she   have            buried       the   flashes   of   joy   the   other   brought   her?        now   it   was        too   late.         he   was   gone.         he   wasn’t   coming       back.

at   least,     so   she   thought.      it   felt   like   a        mirage,       weathered   face   among   the   people   crossing   the   street.        ❝       isaac?         ❞       his   name   leaves   her   lips       &       it   tastes   of        familiarity.
