there's an assumption that daniel's memory has been tampered with and that he sometimes remembers armand in bits and pieces, like in that dream in episode six. and so, the theory is that in the dessert scene, he is not really talking about the memory of his first wife, but about armand...

two-colored eyebrows are actually two-coloured eyes, "always dyed it back to brown" - armand wears his brown contacts even in the 70s, daniel liked it more when "she left it alone," which could mean that he preferred armand with his natural vampire eyes. then there's also the paris mention and louis's reaction... it's all just very strange, tbh

Firstly, the goal of giving Daniel a family is to show that he's managed to succeed and live a healthy, human life even after the events that took place in San Francisco. But we never see this life, do we? Unlike Daniel's career, which we get a clear glimpse and legitimate proof of, we never get to see his family even in pictures! Look at his house! It does not remind me of a family house. He pulls out a box with old dusty toys which is supposed to imply that his children are older, but the house looks like it overall just has a lot of random stuff and clutter. We are shown old toys instead of pictures or memory flashbacks of Daniel's family which would make a definite strong impact on the audience, make it feel like he has something to lose by putting himself in danger with the interview but there is NOTHING.

2. His wife's name was Alice? Armand - Alice. I know it's a silly detail to latch onto but it's almost as if Armand remade his name😐

3. BESTIE they got married in Paris in a street that Louis knows! LOUIS KNOWS THE PLACE BECAUSE HE WAS THERE, HE SAW ARMAND DANIEL ALL NICE AND DOMESTIC and later this memory was reshaped.

4. The eyebrow dyeing is definitely a foreshadowing to Armand wearing his contacts. His black human eyes -> brown contacts. Another detail that's misshaped in Daniel's mind.

5. Daniel has been having dreams of their first meeting as if his consciousness knows there is something missing, a huge gap in his life, but Armand won't allow Daniel to reach the memories UNTIL the moment Louis calls out to him and Daniel DREAMS of it!

6. In Daniel's opening scene in episode 1, he's putting together a puzzle which could be a metaphor for him trying to figure out his mind and memories and his very sense of self. His life with Armand and Devil's Minion years became a huge part of his identity which has been ripped out together with his memories. The puzzle is nearly done because he's about to meet Armand again.
