life and death

this picture to me perfectly describes what it feels like to live a happy fulfilled life after a broken one. you can’t deny the overwhelming and achingly beautiful sentiments of the present picture and of what you see and have but some how you can still sense that faint fog in the air; a clothed feeling of weariness, of loss, just hanging. you can’t help but pay attention to all the variations of your life that went wrong and can’t help but wonder, what if any one of them actually went right? what if one of those other paths that was so deep and devastating to your soul actually worked out? what if those people lost to the past stood here in the present with me? but technically one of the paths did work out because you’re in one, living it out so you know this. and it’s a beautiful scene, but yet there’s still something twisted underneath. the blossoms are gorgeous, but the tree is slightly crooked. changed. formed by nature. but yet, still beautiful.
