Elisei was. Different now. He still did things and said things that reminded Pyotr of their childhood bond, but things became tense when Elisei suffered a head injury and Pyotr was admitted to a private boarding school.
Seeing him again at Night Raven but knowing that they wouldn't be able to rekindle their bond due to a lot of things that really were Pyotr's fault, well it kind of hurt.
Not that the conman would ever show that, of course.
Pyotr tried not to think about it, about how he remembers being the one making Elisei laugh and now being the one to make him unbearably angry. Oh well, at least Elisei still gave him attention.
"Eli~ You're looking a little lost in thought. Is there something the matter, sweetheart?" Pyotr put on his best suave grin and walked up to where Elisei was sitting in the library, placing on hand on the desk and leaning almost uncomfortably close.

── "It's you. Of course it is, shouldn't you be off scamming people in that dorm of yours?"
Elisei had spoken a brief amount, sharp and clear. Putting his book down as he turned slightly to look at the conman who was VERY close to him.
He didn't remember much of his childhood after the head injury all he could recollect was a locked box his grandfather had given him, in which he didn't have the key for.
He didn't remember how close these two used to be when they were kids, but now all he could feel was a sense of deep hatred.
