I oppose any revocation or reduction of the Chaco Withdrawal. The surrounding area contains thousands of interconnected cultural resources. Oil and gas development degrades this landscape through noise, light, infrastructure, and fragmentation β even without direct disturbance. The San Juan Basin is already heavily developed; additional leasing compounds existing harm. The 2021 withdrawal was supported by an administrative record reflecting exactly this concern. Revocation requires affirmative justification, not a change in administration priorities. The federal government also has trust responsibilities to Tribal Nations under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Proceeding over sustained Tribal opposition raises serious compliance concerns. These impacts are largely irreversible and meet NEPA's threshold for a full Environmental Impact Statement. I urge BLM to maintain the Chaco Withdrawal in full.

Medicine has three ways of failing promising treatments β and only one of them is the dramatic kind.
Paradigm rejection is the one that makes history books. Semmelweis died before handwashing became standard practice. Marshall infected himself to prove bacteria cause ulcers and waited a decade for the NIH to agree.
The other two mechanisms are quieter. A trial designed without understanding the therapy produces a false negative that carries institutional authority for years. A therapy that can't be patented never gets the funding for a trial at all.

According to Politico, Congress claims it can prevent a Greenland invasion with legislation passed after troops land. This is insane. Venezuela proved the president informs Congress only after military action begins. You cannot prevent something by responding to it after it happens.
