National pro-democracy rallies are planned for Thursday, July 17th across the country, honoring John Lewis's legacy and his call to "make good trouble, necessary trouble."
**Why "Make Good Trouble"?**
John Lewis taught us that democracy requires action from each generation. As he wrote in his farewell letter: "Democracy is not a state. It is an act, and each generation must do its part to help build what we called the Beloved Community."
