Green peas remind me of you and I just can’t explain. Maybe I’m waiting for something to happen, something that never will and I’m not saying I’m hopeless because that’s all I’m filled with – hope. Like hopefully paths will cross, so I keep my eyes open on the street because I think I can notice you from out in the crowd even if you don’t notice me. There is a pain and serenity in the stillness of my pond.

Won a bet for dinner and solidified friendships today But I often, more than often lately, wonder if the thought of me crosses your mind, not in a romantic way, but in the everyday passing kind of way. The one where nothing particular stands out but just reminds you of my existence. But if not, it’s okay, I’m really just wondering. It’s nice to wonder. Maybe this is what wind up birds think about. I am just another bird.
