Malory's Taboo Corner of the Interwebs

The weather is getting nicer, and it was warm enough for us to get out with Monica yesterday. Ben and I took Monica with us when we went to the supermarket, and an amusing thing happened there.

While we were in one of the aisles, i asked Ben to get something off of one of the shelves, and as he was doing so an older woman came up to me and remarked on how pretty Monica was. I thanked her as Ben was walking back beside me (and I guess it is hard to tell someone's age when they are wearing a mask as we were), and the older lady asked "do you and your husband have any other children?".

I guess I should have expected a question like that, but paused a moment, and before I could respond, Ben said "no this is our first".

I wanted to tell him that wasn't what I would have said, but had to settle for giving him a quick disapproving look before replying "no we don't have any other children". The older lady smiled and said "well maybe she will be lucky enough to have a little brother or sister soon, not good to grow up without siblings". Then she went on her way.

When she was out of earshot, whispered to Ben "what did you say that for? It makes it sound like we are planning to have more. ". He just gave me the "what did I do" look, but I suspect he was smirking under his mask.

Well, anyway after a while I decided it was a funny story to tell.

On a more serious note, I hate to say I had to block several would-be followers today. A few were blocked because their blogs were empty. One was blocked because he posted about raping and otherwise abusing women. And two others sent me 'dick pics'. None of them apparently read my blog where I warned that those kind of things get followers blocked.

But I appreciate and cherish the good thoughts and good will shown by so many of you that follow my blog and have sent so many nice messages.

To all of you that have asked how we are doing or sent best wishes to me and my children.

We are all doing well. Ben and I are coping with being parents of a newborn. A new experience for him, a relearning experience for me. The 2 AM feedings, the diaper changes are trying at times, but when I look at our sweet baby, it makes it all worthwhile. Ben adores his new little sister/daughter too.

Little Monica gets lots of love from her big sister/aunt too. Amanda loves having a little sister. 

Amanda’s GF Diane has been helping out with taking care of Monica. She has been spending a lot of time here. She says she loves babies, and she says it gives her a chance to get out of her house.

Ben and Amanda are back to school, online for now because of the pandemic. And working art time on weekends. Diane is working full time and taking some college classes online.

I am recovering well from giving birth, still as little sore ‘down there’. So Ben and I have not gone back to having sex yet, he’s been very understanding, getting by with an occasional BJ or s few times Amanda has taken care of him.  I did tell Ben that when we do start having sex again he needs to wear a condom. I won’t be taking birth control pills while I’m breast feeding.
