reaction on Zandra's death?
oh hi anon. sorry for the late response. hmmm...what do i think about zandra's death on the live action? it was...devastating for me in spite of knowing it would eventually happen. i was really looking forward to seeing it bc i know how capable the boazanians actors are. i admit i was a bit distracted with the blood (it was revealed by the director that the scene was a combo of the original shoot and reshoot days later) but liezel and martin really are really good actors. it helps too that they made zarzan's relationship too real with what little they had. it might sound insane but i actually like that it is zambojil's who put an end to her life rather than some rando. tho i wish they kept the carriage scene because it is iconic. well i kind of understand why they did change that bit.
honestly, it took me a week to rewatch the WHOLE episode (episode 88 is such a bee--it made me watch zandra get shot four times via flashback plus the other zarzan moments 😭😭). i think i got more emotional over zandra's death scene compare to zardoz's. i kind of wish they reshoot zardoz's. those two really...such great actors.
