ALLISON ARGENT

"i'm not really worried about bashees." witches, though, are a problem, and one he isn't particularly looking forward to facing. "what are you saying? that you're opening yourself up to protect her and whatever creatures she's founding this school for?" the language sounds accusatory, but his tone isn't. if anything, he's studying her with faint surprise — even admiration. far gone, it seems, is the generation of hunters intent on killing anything different from their own. "if you trust her, if she's out to help kids, i wouldn't call it a mistake. but i do want to talk to her; see if she could be a lead to what happened to stiles."

"NEITHER AM I," Allison admitted but the more she thought about it, Allison knew that there were kids who needed a safe place to learn how to control themselves in a safe environment. "I'm saying that we open Beacon Hills up to the idea of it being a safe place rather than trying to pretend it's not big enough for everyone. If we're all on the same page, it'll be easier to figure out who is who. Maybe it's a fever dream but if not, I'm still going to help kids be safe." That was that. Right now she wasn't sure what her part in the pack consisted of now that she'd asked Scott to turn her but she'd keep herself busy despite it. "I agree. I'd ask Scott for help but we're not exactly talking at the moment."

"wait. wait, what?" anxiety loops a tighter, tighter, tighter knot through him, making his breath come shorter than it needs to. scott stands up hastily from the bed, moving to follow her even in spite of her request. "allison. don't leave in the middle of the night, come on. look, i'm listening, i just don't understand why — you're right, you're an argent. so why would you want that? you've never wanted that." he grips her arm, trying to get her to wait, to look at him, something. "you know i don't just turn people, not if i don't have to. that's ... too much. i'm sorry that you're scared, but i can't do that. we can find another way." he searches her expression, hoping to find some reason left in her. "can't you understand that?"

SHE WANTED TO SCREAM AT HIM, AT ANYONE REALLY, IF IT HELPED. The feeling in her chest felt as if it were only rising rather decreasing. The air in Scott's bedroom felt heavy. What seemed like a good solution to the problem she felt now was not good... not to the person she thought would understand the most. "There's been a darkness in my heart since we did that ice bath, Scott. Right now it still feels like it's there, growing, squeezing." she whispered, trying not to scream but she knew her voice was louder than it was meant to be. It made her ears ring even if was barely above a whisper. A knot was forming in her throat. She looked at him now, hands itching to hit something. "I understand but if I'm going to self destruct, I'd rather it not be in front of you. It's like I'm slipping, Scott... like I'm here but every other breath, I'm there again." Clouded in darkness, yet having it zooming right for her to wrap her in a hug she couldn't escape from. "You're MY anchor when I'm awake but when I'm asleep? I can't even remember."

just like that, scott goes still, body tensing up instantly. even his hand in allison's feels like dead weight, his heart running a hundred miles an hour in his chest. "what? allison, no." he's recoiling from the very idea, even going as far as to pull his hand slightly out of hers before he catches himself. "i know you're scared, but it was just a nightmare. you've been through a lot, you died, you're not going to feel right at first. that doesn't mean anything's wrong with you." refuses to believe it, in fact; they just got her back. she has to be okay. "you're just scared. i get it. you're not really asking me to do that." scott squeezes her hand, clings to it, willing her to be okay, to realize the full extent of what she's asking him to do and why he can't do it. "if you want to see someone, we can try to find a doctor or something. i can call deaton."

SHE BLINKED BACK CONFUSION. He was, after all, an alpha of a pack she considered herself to be a part of. Why was she so different? The feeling in her chest wouldn't go away no matter how much she loved Scott -- and doing so only seemed to make the feeling worse. "I know what I ask," she finally spoke after what felt like an eternity of silence on her end. "I don't want Deaton. I want..." she hummed before pulling her hand out of his and giving his cheek a little pat with it before it fell, "I'm going for a walk. If you're curious as to what I want now, it's for you not to follow me." Because fear and dread aside, she felt anger in it's place.

god damn she has dimples too? the blonde was seconds away from swooning. "me?" she looked down at her skin, checking for any signs of a scratch or bite. "nope. all good here. what about you though?" she moved to look over the brunette, silently impressed by her sudden midnight saviour.

SHE NODDED IN HER DIRECTION, eyes scanning over what she could see of the other's body for a moment before relaxing a little more. "I'm okay, I didn't get bit." Which might be a good or bad thing since Scott refused to do so. Fucker. "I know these woods better than most do. Just be careful, okay? Not just on full moons."

eyebrows raised at the mention of gummy bears. "gummy bears with ice cream?" lucas chuckled, clapping a hand to the back of his neck and rubbing the skin nervously. "i didn't realise i was hanging out with some kind of psychopath." he laughed again, then directed his gaze to the ice cream bar. "there's too much choice. i see the m&ms, hundreds and thousands, and all the sauces. how am i supposed to not get everything?" lucas was indecisive at the best of times, but this was ridiculous.

IT WAS WEIRD AND SHE KNEW IT but she couldn't help it. Gummy bears and ice cream had been her bad trash snack for as long as she could remember. It was probably one thing her aunt turned her onto that wasn't gut wrenchingly bad. "Hey, don't knock it before you try it!" Allison exclaimed with a laugh, following the suit of looking at the flavors and toppings being offered. "Everything means gummy bears. Are you a psychopath like me?"

he touches her hand, drawing it into his lap, intertwining their fingers as he holds onto it. "i know. i love you, too. we're gonna be okay." they have to be. but when she makes her next request, his pulse picks up a bit, not liking her phrasing. but he's just being paranoid ... he hopes. "you're not going to hurt anyone, allison. it's you. if something happened to make you ... lose control, yeah, i'd make sure we snapped you out of it. if that's what you mean." regards her with some caution, worried that she means stopping her in a more permanent way. how could he ever? even with other lives on the line? scott couldn't.

MAYBE IT WAS TOO MUCH or maybe she was self destructing before something else came along and did it for her. She didn't like the feeling she felt when holding her dagger, she didn't like even considering the thought of hunting, and she definitely didn't want to die again. What was left in that case? It helped her to hear he loved her, it assured her, but something in her hurt and she couldn't figure it out why. "I'm an Argent." It's well known that Arents weren't known for being kind even if she tried to change that. "I'm a human. I don't know how I know it but I know there's someone out there worse. I want you to turn me, Scott." Could she really be a werewolf and be happy with that? Sure, she wouldn't be human, but that didn't mean she could die still as a werewolf. "Something is wrong with me," she sobbed, tears coming without warning. "I can't guarantee I won't hurt you like this. Something is wrong, Scott."

eyes rolled at the mention of stiles. "how does he always manage to get himself into trouble?" a sigh then followed. thinking for a moment, jackson then combed a hand back through his hair. "look, allison, i'll be honest with you, my only priority right now is lydia, and keeping her safe. if that means we all have to team up, then i'm in."

ALLISON'S SHOULDERS SHRUGGED IN HONESTY. For a human like herself, Stiles sure as hell seemed to fit on the other side of the line most days. He was a walking danger magnet. Sure, she was too, but there's a different between seeking it out and having it fall into your lap if you breathe. "I understand, but if Stiles dies, she's going to lose her mind." Sure, she had died, and yes they were best friends, but who knew if he'd come back? Or if it was just some one time fluke. "And you and I both know she'd run into danger for those she loves. So, you might as well embrace it. Scott probably considers you pack even now."

he doesn't need to smell it to understand the guilt in that possibility. of course the idea of hurting him, or hurting anyone undeserving of it, would weigh on allison argent. "it's okay. you didn't hurt me. you're not going to hurt me." scott won't add it aloud, but he wouldn't care even if she had hurt him; it's a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things, having her back. "it's a lot, you know? coming back to life. your body and your brain are probably just ... working through it. figuring it out." winces a little, knowing that won't be good enough to reassure her. "the important part is you didn't hurt anyone. i'm fine."

"IT WOULD DESTROY ME," Allison admitted, swimming through the ebb and flow of guilt and fear. Having the ability to love Scott and know what it was like without him back in her heart, she didn't want to risk it. His safety would always mean more to her than her own. Not just his but Lydia's, Stiles', Isaac's and even Jackson's. The circumstances would be different yet still the same, and it would break her heart if she ever willingly or not hurt any of them. "I love you Scott McCall." she told him, turning to look at him better. Her expression is still a mixture of pain but mostly relief. He was okay. She hadn't hurt him; but her brain couldn't shake the fact that she could've... like maybe that was the intent somehow. "Please promise me you'll stop me if I ever hurt you or our friends. Please?"

"i'm hoping so." he's almost startled to hear her laugh; almost assumed, at this point, that hales and argents had developed the silent agreement to at best hold each other at respectful arms' length, much less make each other laugh. "you think she's opening a school for vampires?" his eyebrows furrow, instantly troubled by the idea. "or more? it's a bad idea no matter how you look at it. it wouldn't last. it'd be even more of a beacon for trouble than beacon hills itself."

IT WAS WEIRD AND IT WOULD PROBABLY ALWAYS BE. While she wasn't exactly the cause of all the Hales' troubles, she had a hand in it and she made it her mission to make it better. She couldn't bring the Hales back but she'd sure do her damnest to help others like the Hales. "I don't know if it's vampires, Derek," Allison admitted, voice lowering between the two, "but I made a promise to only protect those who can't protect themselves. Not everyone's lucky to be born with a pack or have a sick sense of control. Werewolves and vampires aren't the only species we have to worry about anymore. There are banshees and witches, and god knows what else. If Caroline needs help... I'm going to help where I can. and if it's a mistake, it's my mistake to make."

dips his head in a single nod of acknowledgement. "i have. i noticed. he'd be better off if we handcuffed him to the hospital bed." which is an idea, actually, so he tucks it away in the corner of his mind for later, just in case. silently chews on allison's next response — who else might come back from the dead? an old enemy, next time? family? (he discards that possibility quickly; better left unhoped for, unfelt.) "i don't like it. it's obviously related to all of our mystic falls refugees; and there's way too many of them."

SHE LAUGHED JUST ENOUGH TO SHOW HER AMUSEMENT before it died down. Keep it serious Allison... but she wanted to see Stiles handcuffed to a hospital bed now. "I'm sure his dad's already way ahead of us." Poor guy. He had to learn of her return in such a way that was already traumatic. "They're not all that bad but with how many of them, it's going to be difficult to figure out whose responsible for it. We could ask, uh, Caroline Forbes? I think that's her name but she's apparently planning on opening a school for the gifted. I don't need to be a rocket scientist to know what that means."

it wasn't so much his own mourning that was the problem, it was lydia's. he hated that he wasn't here for her, that he couldn't be by her side and keep her sane through the pain of losing her best friend. at the admission of being happy to see him, jackson arched a brow. "knew you had a soft spot for me really, argent." he teased, shooting a quick wink in her direction. then, a roll of his eyes and a fake laugh "you're hilarious. the kanima is still here, yes." he spoke monotonously, obviously not amused by her quip.

SHE WAVED A DISMISSIVE SHRUG, eyes rolling playfully but still never the less happy to see him. He might've been... Jackson, when he was younger but she hoped maybe time would've been nicer to him. "Eh," Allison moves closer, giving his arms a squeeze, "I'm only asking because if Scott hasn't, he won't... but we're going to need all hands on deck. Something we've never seen before attacked Stiles and with the dead returning, myself included, we can't be too sure."

the magic was getting more intense, and more difficult to hide. immediately the vampire moved to shield her daughter from the stranger, blue eyes looking the other woman up and down. "i am, yes." it probably looked strange, a six year old with someone who looked seventeen. "i was just getting a coffee..." she added, gesturing to the nearby coffee van.

IT'S NOT THE WEIRDEST THING SHE'D SEEN. In fact, it doesn't even phase her the way it probably should. "Get her away from here, will you?" Allison urged her, not knowing why the powerlines had surged in such a way but Allison wasn't going to question it. "I'll handle this."

the scent of fear sparks his anxiety, adrenaline all the further. he's wide awake now, reaching out in the dark bedroom to slip his hand over allison's cheek, reassuring himself that she's still really there, alive, okay. "what? why?" it takes him another second for his brain to catch up with what he's looking at, the meaning behind it. searches her eyes. "are you having nightmares? or do you think it's some ... instinct?" guilt chews at him for not thinking to ask her more about how her death could still be affecting her sooner; he's been too busy rejoicing in her life.

IT SCARES HER. She thought she was in control of herself finally, that there hadn't been any doubt in her mind and yet... there she was once again, unsure of herself. She didn't know why she held the dagger and yet she knew somehow that she had the intent to use it. Maybe not awake but still. That was dangerous. "I don't know," Allison's voice broke, tossing the dagger so it'd land somewhere and not be so firmly in her grip. Her eyes couldn't leave him despite the uncertainty. "I think it was an instinct but I don't know why. I could've hurt you." and that thought? That thought hurt. She couldn't remember if she dreamt much less about, so what was left?

BEACON HILLS MIGHT'VE BEEN A SANCTUARY TO WEREWOLVES once upon a time and with history, she came to realize there were even more than before. It wasn't just the Hales' home, or the pack's stomping grounds now. There were more werewolves and more risks to those who didn't know that... or thought they could handle it. Knowing that it was a werewolf, Allison shot for the leg rather than the heart. There were too many factors in why it might've attacked and control was a big one. Not every werewolf was able to control themselves. Allison moved quickly, helping the other move away from the werewolf growling over the arrow, only stopping briefly when she thought it was safe. A laugh left her lips, dimples evident with a smile. "I don't know about that. Are you okay? You didn't get bit, did you?"
