"Come on, surely you don't mean that." Rebecca giggled, snuggled up against her fiance. They were watching some show on Netflix, not really paying attention to it.

"But yes I do! And this Cassie is such a little freak!" Alfie guffawed. "She looks like that goddamn clown... the fucking.... you know..."

"It!?" Rebecca couldn't stop laughing.

"It, babe, It!! Cassie looks just like the goddamn It clown." The couple was laughing so hard, they could explode. "Shit, babe. I need to take a leak. I'm busting my chops over here." He said wish some fake New York goon accent.

Alfred wished he didn’t wake up when the sun went down, but last night he couldn’t stop himself from watching cooking shows on YouTube until late. He enjoyed watching the transformative process of the raw materials into a unified dish, although cooking hadn’t mainly been his passion.

He glanced at his phone only to see plenty of notifications from his course mates and his mother. What took his attention was the dozens of notifications sent by his best friend, George, who he hadn’t talked to all week. George was a reserved young man and very passionate about his degree, to the point that he had isolated himself entirely from Alfred to further his studies successfully. These phone calls must have been for something important.

Alfred quickly dialled on his phone and waited patiently for George to answer.  It went straight to voicemail. This wouldn't have been a surprise on any other occasion, but this time Alfred was worried. What could have possibly driven George to call him so many times? He checked that the last time he had received a call from him had been less than an hour ago! The young man decided to send him a text, quickly wore his long coat, and ran straight to the closest bus station.
