This Is No Place For Sheep

     “ A girl's allowed t' take a break, sugar. Unless ‘m under y’er oh so thorough investigative skills now. ” Other people from Belobog were here, even. It wasn't odd that Eros had come here, too. If anyone asked, he was here with them. The planet being open meant they could actually establish connections, after all.

     He can't hide that lingering gaze from the smaller once it moves. A claw toys with the band of one of his thigh highs, pulling it away just enough before letting it squish the curve of his body once more. And then he's continuing to look. Good. Those are the kinds of gazes Eros quite enjoys.

     “ I wouldn't have thought someone so gloomy would wanna come all th' way t' an Arcadia made by th' Elation, ” he points out, head canting to the side slightly. Who would ever think someone who acts the way he does would enjoy a place like this? Eros at least has no qualsm in letting this side of him be known away from home. Even the delicate doctor can want to chase a little fun here and there.

His phone jingled, a soft tone he used to warn him it was the general when he could afford to sacrifice stealth in favor of knowing who wanted his attention. His shoulders slumped just a little but he didn't check it. If she was texting him about work again he would throw it in the river and disappear somewhere in this city no General would be able to find him. Then when he got back remind his dauntless General time off meant "leave him alone" time.

"Like I said, it's a big city." Many places to hide. Enough fools who owe him a favor that if he needed to get creative he could. Since occasionally being forced to run with other fools did pay off for the headaches it caused, even if everyone seemed to just assume that just because the stoicism was a mask that he did actually want to be there. "I was planning to find a new hiding place."

And I will wait for you.

There's a soft hum. "So, what plans do you have then? Considering your new freedom and all. If that isn't too personal, coming from me." She asks, tilting her head. Part of her relaxes, as if she's known him some time. Maybe it's because the shared connection, or maybe its because she wants to believe that somehow, the one before him is even still like anything her grandfather knew.

It was a shame that he couldn't say the feeling had been returned. All those centuries memories of his master were fuzzy. They existed but there was a detachment to it that didn't allow for missing someone else.

"But as far as what I will do now, I don't know." His agile fingers had atrophied from years of not being used and the erosion caused by his worst decision. "I was told I would have to be under regular monitoring. Report into physicians and the General regularly but beyond that... I'm not sure."

"I always wondered if he was happy like that... when I asked him ab-" he caught himself before he said Guiying's name. A habit of secrecy and protectiveness danced, before he reminded himself that this was a child and it wasn't as if two General's didn't already know. "About my wife."

     Planarcadia was a welcome respite from supply runs. Even if he was still technically fulfilling favors, that mattered rather little in the grand scheme of things. This time it was work rather than pleasure, and that suited him just fine. Though, when it came to working the life of a Fool, wasn't every trip a pleasure trip?

     He's leaning against the railing by the river when his ears flick towards the sound of steps. Ah. Seemed there was going to be someone who wanted his attention. 

     Standing with a stretch, the vidyadhara starts to make his way towards a far quieter area. If this certain someone wants to be hidden, that serves him just fine. And if the recognition of steps is anything to go by… well, this little bird's been following him for quite awhile, hasn't he? Once he arrives at a quiet alley, he leans back against the wall, one leg up against the brick as he looks over the emerging figure. Head cants to the side and that crooked smile spreads wider by the second.

For that matter he didn't care if this entire city went up in flames as long as he wasn't caught up in it. Still, if Planarcardia did burn to the ground it was built on he supposes that it would mean he would have to find a new place to take vacation that let him gather intel through the connections he unfortunately had to form with the other fools.

"I am." He replied, his eyes darted down to Eros' hand. His gaze lingered several long second before pulling back up. He moved in close, one shoulder pressing into wall next to Eros. His arms crossed but his eyes looked the over other, appreciative. His head titled towards the shoulder pressed to the wall. "It's a big city. Alot of places to hide and with the General when I want to make sure I'm alone it's sometimes best to do things she doesn't expect me to do. If I knew one of the other Generals would be here I would have gone somewhere else."

"I would have been surprised if you were his grandchild by birth. I never remember Master taking a wife." And even in his younger years as a student the General never came off as a man with an eye for many bedmates. But he didn't mention that part to Yunli. "I see that part about him hasn't changed."

     “ Jus' some idiot that doesn't know th' meanin' of love or elation. Wouldn't if it bit him on th' nose. ”

He listened, thought it over and it seemed like this fool didn't try anything directly to Eros. So Moze supposes he could leave the body to the streets.

     “ Jus' somebody not worth th' effort, baby… disgustin' mutt's already dead anyway. ”

He blinked and very slowly put his knife away. "Alright... but what happened exactly?"
