to sad songs.

that they stayed with you

too long.

that they settled somewhere

inside your chest

and made the whole day

feel heavier.

i remember thinking

how strange.

i’ve always reached

for the things

that hurt.

the songs that ache.

the poems that leave bruises.

the stories

where nobody gets rescued.

i thought maybe

we just loved differently.

but sometimes

i wonder

if i would’ve become

one of those songs.

if one day

my name would’ve been

too difficult to hear.

if my voice

would’ve lingered

in your head

long after you wanted silence.

if loving me

would’ve become

another sadness

you learned to avoid.

and i think

that is the cruelest part.

not imagining you

forgetting me.

imagining you

remembering me

only enough

just in case i get deleted …

when they're submissive they get so needy. so desperate to please. hands eager, voice soft, asking if they're doing okay, wanting to hear they're good before they even finish the thought. they love letting me take control completely. melting into it. wanting nothing more than to be good for me, to do whatever i ask, to feel how good it is when someone else is finally in charge for once. that relief on their face the second they stop having to think and just follow.
