𝐖𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐓 𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑 ? 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐒 𝐈𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒𝐍'𝐓 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄 gotten rid of. not for what she did. to those in westview, to those across the multiverse who didn't deserve her wrath, her desperation. only for wanda to do all of it for nothing ... until now, until this new development. it was laughable, in a way, she would find out from agatha herself. to know her son had been with her this entire time in his own quest, it seemed, on the witches road of all places ! ( wanda wants to be angry, in a protective mode, but billy was old enough to make his own decisions, wasn't he ? though, sixteen year olds were stubborn. like her. ) brows furrow in her unpleased expression, hands at her sides in a non threatening way yet agatha should know she's ready to use them if need be. ❛ how long ? ❜ he asks, tone matching her face. ❛ how long has he been with you, how long have you know he was my son ? ❜ the soul of my son, of the billy i created in westview, she thinks.

𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓, 𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐇𝐄𝐑 isn't concealed, nor does agatha make any such attempts at doing so. why should she ? wanda had come crawling back to her just like she said she would 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨. how the tables had turned & the witch wasn't certain she was in the mood to be quite so 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆. ❛ long enough, ❜ reply comes, although it really doesn't aid the other in her search for answers, just as she'd intended. ❛ fortunately, the two of you share the same tell, ❜ brunette continued, again, the response wasn't particularly 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐟𝐮𝐥, but wanda should know that her assistance wasn't going to come easily, not after the hell she'd put the purple witch through.

from the beginning rio knew that this one chance encounter with the purple witch was anything but that. their paths were meant to cross. two separate dark and twisted souls destined to intertwine. this was fates doing. and who was she to intervene with fate. especially when the outcome isn’t just the bodies but the witch standing in the midst of lifeless, hollowed-out husks; agatha harkness. the young witch was really racking up a body count. rio is enthralled with this purple witch and the darkness that is in ways similar and yet, unlike her own.

she’s a spectre; a gentle hand there to guide the departed to the beyond. naturally, the green witch is drawn to that call but it isn’t the lure of death which has her returning to agatha each time (this is simply an added pleasure), it’s the magnetic pull that draws her back; allowing her to seek out  the other witch. with each departure from the other, rio yearns for the next encounter.

𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐎𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆, far too long since agatha had been graced by the presence of death. of the presence of the 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 that she'd grown to care for. & perhaps too long was merely a few days . . . regardless, she simply wished to see her 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 again, was that too much to ask ? so, strewn, lifeless bodies lay at her feet, remaining in place, waiting for rio to appear from the shadows, just as she always did.

& smile, faint upon her countenance appeared as cerulean gaze settled upon the green witch, never faltering as she came to stand a mere few steps away. ❛ oh, i don't know if i can accept so easily, ❜ & not a note of seriousness laced her tones, teasing as she plucked the 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 from @blkhcrt's grasp, the 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 held close to her chest. ❛ i think another token may be in order, don't you ? ❜ she hummed idly, free hand extending toward the other, wishing naught more than to draw her 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫.

𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 the influx of questions at her own response. nicholas was curious, wanted to know how & why just as much as she, herself had done. how much she still did. 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 were important & she wished that she could give him the ones that he wanted. to tell him ' no ', that not ALL WITCHES were bad, alas, she could not — she would not lie to him, not about something that kept them both alive.

❛ yes, ❜ answer was simple, dipping to press a kiss to the top of his head, drawing impossibly close, almost to 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐞 her point. ❛ there's not many people in this world we can trust, nicky, ❜ soft sigh, a fact she knew to be 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 & she wouldn't have him find that out the same way she had done.

"You know just because you can't do something doesn't mean that it isn't real magic or doesn't require skill," Lilia insisted, speaking not just in defence of her own divining magic but any magic that Agatha seemed to deem to be beneath her interests and abilities. Sigils, potions-- except when she was being saved by them-- actual magic that required focus and not a quick fix.

"You have this habit of dismissing anything that you-" Lilia jabbed a finger for emphasis-- "never bothered to learn how to do."

𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐂, 𝐀𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐄𝐃 gasp spilled from her lips at the divination witch's words, hand rising to splay against her chest in mock offense. it was 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞, of course, well, partly. she'd learned about them . . . divination, potions & sigils, she just didn't deem them 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 or USEFUL enough to retain.

❛ ouch ! ❜ exclamation came, cerulean hues turning toward @diviningtime, a rather theatrical pout finding her countenance. ❛ i 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 ! ❜ witch continued, expression morphing into a wry smile, attempting to pull a reaction from her temporary coven mate. ❛ it's not my fault that divination is naught but a con, ❜ ( like she was one to speak. ) ❛ i mean, does it even take any real 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋 ? ❜

death comes for us all. sometimes it is sooner than some of us would like. but in the end death is inevitable; no matter how much one pleads. it is rio’s job as death’s prospect to ensure the souls of the departed move to the ever after. a set of rules that rio must follow. in the entirety of her immortal life, not once had the spectre entertained the thought of breaking them; she held no attachment to any of these mortals.

at least she did.

it’d been the boy teen combined with the soft, pleading voice from the witch she’d loved still loved that’d drudged up the memories rio had worked so hard to push to the furthest corners of her mind. she'd seen the brief glimmer of hope in those cerulean orbs that this boy was one which been lost a lifetime ago. it'd been why she'd halted agatha's attempt to reach out. why she had once again caused heartache to her witch once more. " I'm not going to forgive you. " @powertaken had whispered them at rio as she took their son away.

𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐕𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑, & maybe, deep, deep down, she did. but her hatred was so ingrained into ever fibre of her being, that even if she wanted to, her mind wouldn't 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 it. rio was so synonymous with the loss of their son that she could not longer separate the two, they were one in the same now, regardless of the feelings she'd once held.

& words only furthered her attempt to get away, to run & hide as she had always done, especially from the green witch. her green witch. but as fingers caught her wrist, she spun on her heel to face the other, features an unreadable mask despite the 𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐃𝐎 of emotion that threatened to spill, to erupt at any given moment. ❛ don't ! ❜ words were naught but a harsh whisper, gaze darkening, tearing her arm away from rio's grasp.
