What is this feeling?

There are only two ways to live this life To let it consume you, lift you Or to emerge yourself To let yourself drown For there is a great difference Between sinking and flying Although we all feel the high The thrill from both It's an addiction to living Or more to feeling alive The only question is do you feel it While you let yourself thrive Or while you let your soul die Or I suppose the real question is Are these the first seconds Or the last

Maybe it’s our meaning, that could truly be found Let’s all take this moment, listen to the sounds.

She loved every photo That froze a moment in time The ones that seem so pointless Until you put them in a line Every single moment Sealed on colored page Locked forever in promise To capture the her essence and her age She loved most the memory Of how her mind once was Set at peace not knowing Of what would become of us When she looks back at those moments She remembers all the grace Of thinking this life was a marathon Before we knew it was a race Against the clock still ticking Feels like it could never stop But her angels look down upon her To prove it isn’t always what she’d thought.

She spent her days chasing the light Her nights dancing through the dark She knows one day she wouldn't see the dawn So she kept the flame inside her heart
