Albus nods at the older one when there is admittance to the most Gryffindor to ever Gryffindor. If there was ever a description, it was his older brother. The most obnoxious, self absorbed, fame-loving person heâs ever met.Not that he didnât love his brother, but they did seem to always get on each otherâs last nerves.
âAlways,â Albus groans. âHe likes the spotlight. He likes showing off, tossing his dumb auburn hair and making girls swoon. Never ask him to demonstrate his quidditch skills, because then heâd never shut up. He thinks heâs gonna be the next all star like Mum.â
As soon as Draco mentions how cool Teddy is, Albus agrees whole heartedly. Teddy is cool. The coolest. âWell, some are. Scorpius isnât. Never.â Albus smiles at the thought of his best friend. âGood. My girl cousins used to get mad at me because Iâd ruin their tea parties.â
But being told heâs safe here, Albus lets down a bit of a wall. âSoââ Albus bites his lip. âYou wonât call me a crybaby if I end up crying?â
âWell, it sounds like heâd have done well in Slytherin,â Draco says, trying to be fair, as he takes a slow sip of his coffee. Itâs true--thereâs something about the way Albusâ brother is being described that keeps reminding him of himself when he was their age. At least he learned something or another somewhere along the line, looks like.
âA lot of people are prats when theyâre teenagers,â he offers thoughtfully. âMyself included. Most of them grown out of it. Some donât, of course, but you can always kick them in the shins, and hopefully that will work.â He pauses. blinks at the boy. âPlease donât tell your father Iâm encouraging you to kick your brother in the shins. I canât imagine Harry Potter would take that well.âÂ
At Albusâ question, he rubs his neck a little awkwardly, before shrugging. âThis it a non-judgmental zone,â he says, before pausing. âApart from the way you take your coffee, of course,â he teases. âIâm sorry, thatâs just--you realize thatâs more sugar than actual caffeine, right? That canât possibly be good for you.âÂ
