Harry: “He’s here, I wasn’t even ready. He saw me and I did something stupid again.” Six exclamation points. “I’m embarrassed.” Two exclamation points. “He’s very nice to my family. Ron says he’s great at Quidditch. I can’t wait to watch a Quidditch game. I really want to learn but my brothers don’t let me play. Can you imagine if I started playing in the same team as Harry Potter?” Three hearts and a drawing of a snitch. I can’t make fun of this, it’s too adorable.

Levi nudged his nose against hers, and their mouths fell sleeplishly together, aready soft and open.

When Cath's eyes closed, her eyeliner stuck. She wanted to open them. She wanted to look at Levi's too-dark eye brows, she wanted to admire his crazy, vampire hairlines-she had a feeling that was never going to happen again and that is might even ruin what was left of her life, so she wanted to open her eyes and bear some witness.

But she was so tired.

And his mouth was so soft.

And nobody has kissed Cath like this before. Only Abel has kissed her before, and that was like getting push squarely on the mouths and pushing back.

Levi's kiss was all taking. Like he was drawing something out of her mouth with soft little jabs of his chin.

She bought her fingers up to his hair, but she couldn't open her eyes.

Eventually, she couldn't stay awake.

“Listen, Evans…”

“Mhm?” She looked over her shoulder at the Marauder

“I’m sorry that people let you down… but they do that y’know?”

Lily chewed her lip. She didn’t look too upset anymore. “Yeah, they do,” she agreed. “But sometimes they surprise you for the better, too.” 

“Right, but how often does that happen?” asked James dryly. Lily smiled enigmatically, shrugging and returning to her prefect project.

“I dunno, she said, as much to the form in front of her as the Marauder behind her. “But it happened to me twice in the last two weeks.”
