clean slate #1
i don't expect you to understand,
in fact, i don't expect more than it's due from you at this point.
sticking together like a family seems like a sick idea coming from your mouth,
to me it's just another form of oppression.
i made up my mind about so many things in a timespan you wouldn't have noticed.
you may call me selfish, opportunistic, a fucking faggot.
believe me, those words won't ever hurt like the first time,
you said them so much, they lost sharpness somewhere along the way.
better yet, i'm not the one who's carrying on after a lifetime of stupid decisions,
actually, i have somewhat of a clean slate in life.
you've written your life as you please, so you may stop putting your signature on mine.
if you think i owe you something, i'd be more than happy to compensate you.
the cost of freedom is high, and believe it or not
i already understood that, maybe at an earlier age than you did.
if you think it's just me bragging, you may be right,
but i know i'm not wrong.
i've given myself time to meditate on hate,
and, being cut off from the same wood, i can assure you,
i was also built to desire being a step ahead.
